I feel like an Entry Room should be warm and inviting and set the tone but in this case it made you want to run away ! I loved Lisa Palmer's Library ! The butler's pantry was Divine ! the rich mahogany color with it's copper molds reminded meof a Belgian chocolate with animal shaped gold foiled wrappers me of my Bringing me to my years in Brussels . It has inspired me to create a similar atmosphere in my own Pantry ! I must say Flower Magazine Show Home in Atlanta was absolutely a dream ! Barry Dixon's Library , Cathy Kincaid and Tish Mills Bedrooms just to name a few !!!! Keep it coming Flower Magazine !!! I love it !
Overkill ! The entire home is overkill! I will say the outside has a vintage vibe near the pool and sitting, which is lovely, should have carried the theme into the home. Every designer was in their own head space on this one. So unfortunate.
Having been to many showcase homes over the decades & also as an assistant to a few designers for the homes , there were always a few meetings well in advance to , while allowing designers to express their signature styles , help maintain a fluid , cohesive feel thruout each home . This is not shown here which is unfortunate as it is , at its core , a lovely home .
I have been to many Show Homes and I personally find many of these rooms over the top… not in a good way! Just a hideous entry! That wallpaper is horrible! The over use of wallpaper and conflicting designs is enough to make one dizzy!
Sensory overload…. for the most part. Stairs area makes me feel like I need to escape or jump to my death. I did love the room with green & white wallpaper, lots of natural light and the floor to ceiling dark green curtains. Patio areas by the pool are beautiful and relaxing.
Stunning,Historic,Francophile's Dream,Louis,Marie,Madame Pompadour,Nepoleon and Josephine would be ecstatic and mizmorized at the Magniphacent Home.Had to send it to my inbox.Thank Thank,Thank you for sharing. The designer's are incredibly and impickably will marvel and take you artistic sense to another whrelm.Love to all Viva la Baton rouge.👏💋🐩🗼💄💅💐😻⚜️👑
The house is stunning, the master bedroom and the foyer are the biggest womp womp I’ve ever seen in my life. How did the designers of those rooms see the other visions in pastel and florals and think “oh yes, let’s do place and white and garish”
This home is beautiful. I loved the entryway. Some rooms were a little own fashion but overall BEAUTIFUL. I LOVED IT. Well done, I don't know what these other folk was talking about.
It is busy as holy-heck. The architure is nice but some of moldings and trim don’t seem to fit the overall details of the house. There is a way to blend styles. I have a newer house done in a historical style, but it both blends and nods some details to past and also to the present.
I see a lot of negative comments here and people need to remember that their view points are strictly opinions. Not everyone has a sophisticated palette, as a designer and collector of modern and antique objects I find this home stunningly gorgeous.
I’m an artist. Work with very high end decorators. Some rooms like the kitchen was stunning. Others? Hideous. Like that ugly dining room. Lots of bad designers out there. I know because I’ve seen their homes. You’re just being a snob.
The issue with show homes is that every designer tries so hard to outdo the other and it ends up looking like a dog’s breakfast of styles, colours and fabrics with nothing tying one room to the other. I would love to see a show home with a definitive, cohesive brief confined to a specific direction and allowing each designer to stamp their own interpretation of that vision . Each room here hold its own individually but collectively , it is a huge fail.
These "showroom "houses ...designers are each given a different room to decorate to show their own style. It's advertising for the designers and tthe furnishing are all for sale. Sometimes a charity is involved. The home owner gets to make up their own mind about what to keep and to discard. So not exactly what you might call "real" and mobe in ready.
This is exquisite! I’ve done and studied a lot of homes, fabric, upholstery, wallpaper etc etc. It flows beautifully and the awakening in the foyer is fabulous!
Welp,. you almost lost me with that atrocious front elevation--the mishmash of architectural details, the wildly unbalanced left and right sides, etc. There is nothing "refined Georgian" about this. Then you DID lose me with that entry hall. Way too busy. Makes my eyes hurt just seeing it in this video. This maximalism thing has got to be dialed back. As recently as 2-3 years ago, showhouses were still...certainly not minimalist but at least, well, still restrained. But in the past few vids I've seen of these houses (for example, the Dallas Kips Bay house) there is just way way too much going in many of these spaces.
So, the recent phase of minimalism is finally over. Great! Its designers are just simply lazy. An open floor plan, with a sofa, a chair, a table, and a couple of bar stools, and you are done. Yes, this is much better, and the designers are definitely much more talented.
Tacky describes your comment my dear. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and most of us had moms who taught us when he had nothing nice to say to say nothing, otherwise we’d be seen as tacky,
Unfortunate window placement in the "library" room - no place for any bookshelves, as they would obstruct part of the windows. This could be an easy architectural fix.
What a disaster of an entrance! I cannot imagine how the owner could accept to give the first impression of the house with such an ugly entrance decoration. The house is a kind of mess with good finishing. It looks like the designer brought stuff from everywhere and melted it together with no taste. He should have worked as a clown in the circus
Yes, I wasn't speaking from a void. I am an interior architect, and I know the basics of taste. But when the designer cannot convince the client what's wrong and what we can work on, especially when they choose to include something ugly or doesn't fit with the ambiance, they should go home.@@sandravega6645
We I’m no professional but , the entrance made me sick , not impressed at all , I feel they couldn’t decide what they wanted in this home so just threw a bunch of mix matched stuff in , nursery wasn’t bad , however that’s the only room I could have lived with but still wasn’t great , I just don’t get it …… Designers 🤔
Absolutely beautiful home…..absolutely horrible design. There’s a difference between creativity & being cohesive with the architectural home. It appears that egocentric designers were more defined by their selfish interpretation. And strong opposition in every corner of the house…no cohesiveness at all. So silly & childish. If you were to take pictures of each room and set them besides each other it would appear that they are ALL from a different houses of different designs. So sad.
The designers seem to have thrown all they have at this project, in an effort to stand out. Just too many different colour schemes and patterns - and incohesive from room to room.
The foyer wall paper just up the stairs would have been dramatic. The paintings are a fail. The nursery was boring. Loved the little room minus the ceiling and all that wallpaper. Laundry room was a disaster. Primary bedroom has been done over and over. Nothing new. Predictable. Grey black and white. Ho hum. The dressing room was gorgeous. The bathroom is boring. Total fail on the dining room. No cohesion in the house at all.
I'm getting a headache looking at the horrible wallpaper in the foyer and up the stairs. In what world did the designer think this was a good idea? Disappointed.

The entry hall looked like it was in another completely !! … it just looked so bizarre 😱
Just stunning...a pinnacle of design, beauty and style
Thank you very much!
Overkill ! The entire home is overkill! I will say the outside has a vintage vibe near the pool and sitting, which is lovely, should have carried the theme into the home. Every designer was in their own head space on this one. So unfortunate.
Stunning home!! Veronica, your guest room is magnificent, as always!!
Thank you so much!

STUNNING, it manages to be contemporary while also being quintessentially southern!

Beautiful❤
These rooms make me think my mix of floral fabrics may not be too much after all.

I loved the guestroom with the butterfly's

It's a Show House...usually, several different designers come in and Design a space. And its Shows in this home. The home itself is Gorgeous 😍
This home is beautiful. I loved the entryway. Some rooms were a little own fashion but overall BEAUTIFUL. I LOVED IT. Well done, I don't know what these other folk was talking about.
Glad you liked it!!
Beautiful!
Thank you!
My favorite part is the home's exterior. Some aspects of the home's interior can be pulled out, but it is way over the top in an eclectic manner.
Wow! Every room was beautiful beyond belief.
Thanks!

Agree. Just because it can be done doesn’t make it right.

Outstanding beauty !!! 👏👏
Many thanks!!
So much talent in one space. Bravo! ❤
I like the crispness of the foyer wallpaper.

If too little is not enough, then too much can be too much
Very Impressive
Love most of the rooms such talent . But the foyer and primary bedroom just a No !
The entry wallpaper is horrid!
Have to be honest , this is the worst designer home I've ever viewed
So, the recent phase of minimalism is finally over. Great! Its designers are just simply lazy. An open floor plan, with a sofa, a chair, a table, and a couple of bar stools, and you are done. Yes, this is much better, and the designers are definitely much more talented.
Although the video is filled with a lot of name dropping, the interior design was a huge fail. It all gives off fun house vibes. 🤡
The common consensus is this home is trying way too hard and failing extremely
Fav is the laundry.
Ohhhh..some (most) of the rooms in this showhouse are way over the top...too tacky for my style, but enjoyed the tour anyways!
Tacky describes your comment my dear. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and most of us had moms who taught us when he had nothing nice to say to say nothing, otherwise we’d be seen as tacky,
Not a fan of wallpaper in entry, nice home. Grand oak trees are lovely.

😯 My first thoughts upon seeing that entrance, 'what a disaster!' It's hideous. 😢

I think that entry wall is not really your demographics.

An odd collection of horrible decor. The pool is the best feature.
Unsubscribed. You’ve lost all credibility.
Entry hall wall covering is horrible
A boucle nursing chair in the nursery?😢
