    Julius - great work my man. I needed essentially the same thing but for Google Ads instead of Google Analytics. So I used everything you provided but used the final tag setup as Google Ads conversion tag to "send" to GAds instead of UA. Thanks!

    thanks, Julius, that has done the trick for me. I had tested other ways and still failed, and realised that I couldn't see anything related to the form on tag assistant and came to your videos. I have just completed Tagmanager course that uses Java script building, and I must admit, it got me more confused. I have successfully managed to pick up a few things and more manageable steps to implement event tracking from your videos.

    I've already installed the code but when I make the test of sending a form submission it doesn't appears in the GTM summary. I've been looking answers since several months ago but I haven't found anything.
    To explain myself better it's the test of the 2:45 minute. Anyone knows the answer?

    • @jesperahlbom
      @jesperahlbom ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We did it by repeating the process of creating a new tag/trigger for each form and made sure that the tag only fires if the data layer variable (created in this tutorial) equals the form id from your hubspot form.
      So at the bottom of the trigger configuration, you tick that the trigger fires on "some custom events" and then choose hs-form-guid equals YOURFORMID in the dropdowns. Works for us. Might be another solution but it made the most sense to us to sort it this way. Best of luck!

How can you use this to create a conversion in Google Ads? i.e. if you create a conversion in G-Ads, there is no where (as far as I know) where you can add in the Conversion ID and the Conversion Label in GTM.??

    Thank you so much for such a thorough explanation, but what happens if I have the same form on different URLs on my site, for example: /home, /contact, /plans?
    Ideally, in addition to the form_id parameter, it would be good to add event parameters like:
    {{Page Title}}
    {{Page URL}}
    {{Page Hostname}}
    Thank you very much in advance!

  • @benhicks3950
    @benhicks3950 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Julius, set this up and it worked great, including the new dimensions for form ID and mapping. HOWEVER, it appears that the event and corresponding goal severely underreported actual form conversions after comparing to data in Hubspot. After troubleshooting, we could not solve what was happening as all tests worked in debugger. Someone on my team then tried the built-in Form trigger in GTM on the embedded forms and it fires upon submission. Easy peasy. Tracking has been much more accurate since, within 3% of actual numbers in Hubspot.
    Website is Wordpress with the Avada theme, FYI.

I also need to send the form submit (not specific information, just that a form was submitted) to multiple platforms (ad platforms primarily). How do I create triggers and tags for individual forms? I tried using GUID (DLV guid = form guid) but that doesn't work as a trigger. Any ideas?

    Thanks so much for this video @AnalyticsMania! When I go into Preview in GTM, I see "form_submit" events even without adding the snippet as a custom HTML tag. However, the weird thing is that I see two "form_submit" events every time I submit a HubSpot embedded; the duplicate form_submit events have identical data, except for the gtm.priorityId value, which is 3 for the first event and 4 for the second event.
    When I set up the custom HTML tag with the snippet as you do in the video, I do see one "hubspot-form-success".
    I searched online and also checked GPT-3 and Claude-3, but haven't been able to find any answers. Does anyone also see "form_submit" events without adding the snippet, and if so is it possible to use those instead of a custom HTML tag? Any ideas why two form_submit events are coming through?

I am trying to pull the email and phone from the form, but I cannot get it. 1: the data is not in the datalayer, 2: I cannot pull it from via the Dom ccs-id/selector, as it returns "null". I believe this happens as the selector I am looking at dissapears after the form is sent. Do you have any more information on how this would work?

    Bro, thank you so much
    I'm from Brazil, I didn't find any content in Portuguese that taught this.
    I have a question, if I have two forms on the website, how can I differentiate between them? I ask this because from what I understand the process would be exactly the same, but how can I differentiate?
    And do you have any videos that teach how to set up hubspot forms conversion for Google Ads?

    • @euluiztavares
      @euluiztavares 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      and also in linkedin ads or meta ads, to configure the events I just change the trigger to the hubspot-form-sucess custom trigger? What about the data layer variable?

    • @euluiztavares
      @euluiztavares 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Man, I want to thank you again, I watched some more of your videos, and I don't even know how I can thank you.
      I kept thinking "if I can't do it myself, I haven't learned, I'm just copying".
      Then I was able to differentiate between the two hubspot forms on the site by inserting a variable with the ID of each form into the custom event.
      I was also able to create conversions within Google Ads by changing the triggers for the respective events.
      And it doesn't end there, I was thinking that I wouldn't be able to track hubspot meetings, but I managed to do so by watching your other video, and using the same logic of reasoning, I was able to create this conversion within Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads as well. Again, thank you so much!
      Now my challenge is to find a solution to something that is occurring in GA4. The booking_complete event appears perfectly in the debug view, but it is not included in the events section, I would like to transform it into a conversion, I have doubts about this.
      n sorry about my english, i'm learning LOL
