- Click tracking is one of the first topics you learn when you start working with Google Tag Manager. You have click triggers, click variables.
But what if you are in a situation where click variables don't contain any useful information? Then you have to go advanced.
In this video, I will show two examples:
The first one will rely mainly on CSS selectors
The second one will rely on JavaScript and CSS selectors

This is super helpful, crystal clear explanation and covered advanced topics. Awesome video as always. Thanks a lot. Please share more advanced tips like this.
Thank you for this video it was very easy to follow
Thank you very much for another great video. I have a suggestion if you could consider clicking on the linked phone number on the website. I often get answers that it is impossible that there were as many calls from potential customers as reported in GA4. Do you have any methods for doing this?
Very useful Thank you ❤
Super usefull as always!
Thanks a lot 👍
Nice video Julius. I have a question: Does doing the climbing method with JS variable could impact website performance? Thank you!
Great video as always! I have a question: How can I pass UTMs through URLs within the same domain?
Use cookies or local storage rather than constantly polluting the URL
