We are Americans from Prescott, AZ..USA. with a 2nd home in Germany and traveling Romania for the first time…We LOVE It and the WONDERFULLY Friendly people…and WOW…Everybody..(almost)…speaks English‼️‼️….A Beautiful Country‼️❤️….
Thanks for appreciating us. Welcome! I would like to have some kind of neighbors.. :) This summer, I met a lot of strangers in Romania, nice people, too!
@@cristianpopescu78let me tell you something: English is basically a new Romanian(well a new Latin if you like) so they use the same letters and half the vocabulary is almost identical so add to it that movies(mostly American) are not dubbed but there are Romanian subtitles, lots of English music and nowadays yes, youtube, obviously you will have a decent English speaking culture. What’s more important though is what’s in their heart, and those hearts were shattered many times and you have an ignorant person who is led to the slaughterhouse by their leaders who are 95% corrupt and bought. It’s remarkable to see that between them though, they are helpful and believers. Kind of like Muslims, very God fearing, sad to see their God is a demon. Come to Jesus‼️
I moved from the Netherlands to Romania, in 2018. and since 2019 have permanent residence. It was the best move I made and never regretted it. I live in a small village, with friendly people, rural nature, yet within a 20 min drive you find anything you might need. I am taking care of stray Dogs, something that just happened, as if it was mend to be that these stray dogs show up on my place. When I started my move, I never intended to start a shelter, but it seemed it was destined to be, so I adapted to the situation, and am currently building and improving this small private shelter. For me, owning a House with a big barn and at least a few thousant square meters, in the Netherlands, was a impossible dream. Here I found it, after meeting in the Netherlands a proffesor from Cluj, who invited me back then in 2016, to come and visit. By doing so, he changed my live, and I found what I was looking for. I can recommend this country to anyone, who loves to have some freedom, friendly people, and beautiful nature. I wish every expat the best out there. Take care.
Cool! Netherlands is the country I visited twice, but have no interest of visiting again. Such a boring country ) Maybe Edward can interview you soon...
@@randomromania I can tell honestly, that I never encountered such a warm welcome as I did here, ; Imagine if you can, I arrived 18december 2018, with a big Truck loaded with all my furniture appliances and Tools, the Snow was Knee deep, I had no snow shovel to clear a path to my house about 30mtrs from the road, and was alone with the truckdriver to unload. But 6 of my neighbors came out, when they saw I struggled, with snowshovels, cleared a path, helped to carry everything inside from the main road where the truck was, to the house. Those people did not know me personaly back then, they just knew a Dutch guy bought the place, yet they all came to help. Needless to say, that to this day, we are still good neighbors. In the Netherlands? You would never had encountered such a kindness and neighborly assistance, out of their own accord. Sad, but True. So yes, I hope my story might inspire others to move to this beautiful country with its underated friendly people. And if you ever like to visit; Google maps, Doggy Day Transylvania. Greetings from Silvio, a very happy expat.
Welcome to Europe and especially the Balkan Peninsula my Friend. Paradise on Earth. You said everything I can relate to. I am Greek living in Romania for 3 years now.
@@randomromania Hello again. I left Greece for personal reasons solely. I had to change my life. No economical factors. Now the main question should be why Romania. This nation is very similar (99%) with the Greek society and close to my mindset. So for me, nothing surprises me here. I am happy. Still trying to set up income here but it will come when it comes! Also it is very close to Greece. I feel like home. What are you doing here? If you are in Bucuresti, I would like to meet you.
Hey I have a similar interesting story coming from Germany to Romania 3 years ago. I had an IT business in Germany and was a business person through and through. I am now building a simpler, more pleasant life in Romania. I’ve got now an older house and a bit of land in Romania. I started to renovate this house two weeks ago and I am currently still in the process to do so. Cheers! ❤
you will get fed up of Romania before even finishing your house...country is beautiful, people are lovely, but when it comes to dealing with government entities you don't need to hear about Romania and think to run as far away as you can
@randomromania trust me, I paid and în 8 years they did nothing, I even offered to pay them more, still nothing, now I just took a lawyer to deal with my stuff, and said would take 2 years only paper work and a few thousand euros, over 5000 most likely, even the lawyer cannot give a price from the beginning.
I moved from the UK to Poland and have noticed much the same with attitude. Many people here think they are not doing well in life and that the west is a land of milk and honey. In reality they live far better than I did in the UK on a total house income of £40k per year. I could barely afford a one bed house in a poor area. My wife is Polish and when we tell people in Poland about the reality of the UK now their jaws drop and they stop complaining so much.
In Romania happens the same. People go to Germany because they earn 2k € a monts but with that you can't save more than 200€. Here in Romania with 1k-1.2k€ you can save 500+-€ ( aprox examples) But still you have worst hospitals, police, highways etc
I was 5 years old when our family moved to Canada. Things are not nowhere as great a they were in Canada. Went for a long vacation back home (7 months). My wife is also romanian. People in both countries are mostly oblivious to their own state of affairs. I dont see much of a future for me my wife and 2 sons in the fas+$/st country called Canada. We will be returning to Romanaia in the near future.
I personally don't give a rat's ass on a 2k, 3k, 4k 5k etc, salary in UK. It's next to nothing anyway unless it's double that when it starts to make sense. But i do care about touching a building (like any building) which is 300 years+, about the cleanest air i have ever breathed, and the greenest grass i have ever seen. About the beauty and grandness of that country you moved out from. When you'll face the bleakness of eastern europe you'll run back to take a stroll around Buckingham or thereabouts.
@@MrAlpinab7 Eastern Europe is anything but bleak. But I can understand your love of your own country. But do yourself a favour and go sightseeing through the "bleak" Eastern Europe, you might just have the holiday of your lifetime! PS we also have 300 + years old buildings and nice clean air in the countryside.
I am so surprised and grateful that I've come across this video today! I live in the UK for 3 years now and I can't wait to move back to România. The UK is great and comes with amazing history and personalities which I will always admire, but the modern times transformed it greatly, and as you said, the life in România is much simpler and quiet, which makes it more worth living. One of our national poets had a saying, "The eternity was born in a village ", which you can comprehend once you live in the village for a while.
England great and with amazing history and personalities?! You should study more, mate! Uk is a nation built on blood of the innocent, piracy, theft, extorsion and genocide. The 3 years i've lost there are the most miserable of my life. Never again!
I lived a year in England in 2007, and then a year in Ireland in 2008, I couldn't adapt. More money was indeed made, but living was expensive. I preferred to return to Romania, it is quieter and more relaxing.
I am proud to be Romanian. I am glad to see that more and more foreigners discover our country and come to appreciate it. I hope you will also come to Iasi...

Leaving in Cluj won't be so cheap , then 😂😂. I made a comparison on prices on food between Romania and UK and was amazed to see that prices are sometimes higher in Romania 😂😂😂.
My wife (Romanian) and Son have moved already, I'm organising and I'm going to join her next year. Similar moral compass and family values appeal to us.
Hey do you remember me this is Farmer Pete from the States. Glad to see more people are taking up farming. I would recommend checking out the market for organic vegetables and how far away are they from his land. I'm still thinking about moving to Romania. I'm now in Thailand but I think I will be in Romania next summer.
of course i remember, i like very much the idea of private farming networks where the members agree in advance to buy the products, it's a pretty interesting idea and saves the farmer his biggest problem of finding markets constantly
@@randomromaniaand avoid the legal requirements which actually are blocking the acces to the fresh raw bii stuff and I'm thinking especially to the raw milk products which are organic and more healthy that the processed food.

had about the same amount of land like the one towards the end of the vid, sold it with only 12k euros... i couldnt find a buyer so i had to cut the price more then double. and the land is good for agriculture. Its amazing how cheap the land is in some zones of the country. if you are a foreigner with some good money saved and look for a nice peaceful retirement Romania is the place for you.

hi I stumbled across this video just now - I have done a very similar thing but the only thing that is different for us is that we are in Hungary near the Serbian border. As with Luke, went through hoops to buy the property and additional land but all sorted now including a fully renovated house. It was an old farm and now is has become our base to not only produce a lot of our own produce, we have created a TH-cam channel showing others all about regenerative gardening or growing
I hope your channel grows exponentially. After so many years abroad( 20 or so)out of which the last 15 in the UK, I think there is no perfect place and would be happy once I move my earnings online, to split myself in few countries where I have family and friends, Romania being by birth land and where I grew till the age of 21. I appreciate the time I have spent in England, developed myself and the connections I have made and I hope one day I can sit at the same table with both of you, somewhere in Romania.
You will be surprised how much better the food you grow yourself will taste. Generally speaking, the lands haven't been intensively exploited agriculturally as they have in countries like the Netherlands or Germany where they use lots of fertilizers and chemicals. I've had a dutch acquaintance come over and be surprised how delicious our tomatoes taste. Dude kept eating like tomatoes were the only food available.
I was called a stupid neandertaler by a dutch when I said that I hope their shit vegetables can freeze in their solar shit .... we have "muraturi" and we understand the ritm of nature, we dont need their tomatos in the winter... but in his eyes I was a primitive monkey who just discover civilization....
in all honesty, it will get harder once you realize that you don`t get to have the same support like other countries have when it comes to farming and agriculture. beside that, there are taxes that you will have to pay on all that land that can be discouraging if you don`t get anything back in return. whit these being said, i`m glad the people that are arriving in my country are respectful and are appreciating my country. after six years of living in london i had to come back, i really missed the country side and the food from the local markets
I don't recommend anyone tries to make a living or live from farming alone but growing your own food, animals for food while working online, remote or part time can work really well
Indeed, that 50 pounds per 1000 square meters of land per year will really put a dent in your economies. Stop being such a doomer, taxes on property is very low in Romania. Our most taxed field is work, we are overtaxed on our work not our properties.
Good luck to him and his family I am Romanian born in Brașov Transilvania in 1958, left ROMANIA in 1986. Unfortunately i will not return to Romania, i am old and we don't have any friends anymore and family members all of them passed away. We settle down in the UK for good long time ago I know the birocratic system in Romania.
planning my return to Romania from USA with the wife.. still looking and hopping to get a job with a U.S. company that allows remote work and getting that US salary in Romania.
Proud I came across this channel. Great job and welcome to Romania! I have lived in the UK for quite a while with my family but strongly thinking to move back home.
No. I know what I will say now. I did this few times and ,you need to look from the beginning if the peace of the land you want to buy is really having only one landlord ,not a family heritage, not multiple landlords on the same property. Much easier, and much shorter road, good luck to everyone. I'm happy you decided to come here. A very warm welcome. Petrica
I'm from Romania- Bucharest. I lived in the UK for 15 years, in the Netherlands for 3 years, and in Hungary-Budapest for 10 years. I recently moved back to Budapest, from London, I feel human again!!!
I'm so happy you guys have found your place of heaven in Romania. I'm rooting for your success and happiness. I'm Romanian and I have decided to move and live permanently in the UK. I wasn't running from anything or anyone in Romania, I just wanted a change, my partner and me, work wise is much better for us than Romania, both being engineers. We can't tell if we will ever come back, or probably just to visit family and friends. Life is how you make it, and how you design it and what people you're having around you. We have homes and significant size land in romania but at the minute we have no plans for it. We have a small dream, we both love bees and a business we would like to have is a beekeeping one. Who knows..
Great video for of millions romanian that emigrated in Uk to see that that is not that bad in their home town as more and more british people move here in Romania
People moved to the west because they couldn't survive and find jobs in Romania. Now we've got westerners with cash moving into the void, and those who left to work for pennies overseas can't even come back because of gentrification. Don't fool yourself, everyone knows what they left behind, you're just able to take advantage of it. But it's ok, you can colonize eastern europe and nobody will call you out for it.
I am a paper-worker here in Romania, yes, there are some bugs, but in time, I guess we will simplify processes. For me, it is not too hard, I work since 2012, so, I am adapted with diverse situations.. It is a bit hard with papers, I guess it is not very hard, and, finaly, anyone can handle it, with some research before starting.. a house, a project.. anything.

Hey! This video is so amazing and informative thank you for starting this channel! I currently live in the UK, I’m a website developer, and my partner (Romanian living in the UK) plan to marry soon. I have visited quite a few places in Romania now and am 100% certain that I want to move out there, my partner also misses her home country and I want to take the leap with her. If any of you lovely viewers could reach out, make as many recommendations as possible when it comes to advice and making this move (assume my knowledge is quite limited right now) I would MASSIVELY appreciate the support. I have started picking up the language from my visits and can communicate on a basic conversational level, and my mind is blown by how wonderful Romanian people are and I love the culture. Thanks in advance ❤
That is really spot on. Congrats on the interview. Even though we may lack many things, like infrastructure and proper digitalization of institutions, just to name a few, I think nowadays, safety and a more peaceful way of life have become a priority.
Please do not complain about the lack og digitalization. Digitalization is the guaranteed way to full spectrum slavery. For freedom we need to go back in time, not ahead where the matrix gets stronger by the day.

hi there i cant wait for new video, i love your enthusiasm and please ignore the idiots leaving hurtful commetns on their5 min lunch break on a tuesday - i am greatful to find this channel and hope it opens a fresh door to unbiased conversation, much love from uk Marius Cristoiu
I am a romanian and living in london, plan is to make some money and get back to spending it in romania. Love London as I often to concerts I can't see at home, love uk for the opportunities, love the fairness of the people in uk, but like you said...you earn some money, but is less life outside work (i'm a computer programmer). Weird fact about romania, is about as big as uk 238.397 km² vs 243.610 km² but the population is 19 mills vs 67 mills, ....pretty sure there is a lot of land to fill :)
If the seller does his homework, buying a property should take 2 days. But on countryside mainly, people don't pay too much attention on this till they decide to sell. In case it's an inherited property of course it's a process all entitled are invited to state their claims according to the law. That's why it took 9 months. Normally, you need to have your property document, one which shows the exact limits measured with a satelite system and the day before buying the public notary will ask from the Judge office a document valid for 24 hours showing the seller hasn't already solded to someone else the day before. So it's quite simple and safe. As for your food needs, build a greenhouse or a solarium no bigger than 50 sqm. You'll make enough to donate to your relatives and it all will be bio. All in all, give your self time and you'll be happy in Romania.
Well not really. If you want to buy intravilan land, then yes, that is easy. If you want to buy agricultural land, there are some procedures which involves the town hall making public the selling offer, and expecting the other individuals that have the primary right to acquire it. If it is a good price, those that have the right to acquire it will screw your plan, and you will have to pay them so that they do not bid on the land. This will take a few months. The good news is that, if you already have a land, then you have the primary right to acquire the land of your neighbors, if they decide to sell. Therefore you can extend your land, and you have 100% chances to buy the land without having the extra pay.
@@danielmogos8990 I must confess I've never heard of anything like this! No neighbour can have a say over a transaction between two individuals! There's no bidding, no nothing!
@@danielmogos8990 I'm married for over 20 years with a romanian woman. I understand and speak quite well the language. But you're referring to something completely different and not about a classic transaction of a property. Preempting rights applies when preconditions exists already in a document or a law. So you're talking about a particular situation and I can't figure out why!

Is such a good feeling knowing that people from other countries finds peace in our country! The main thing România remains a wonderful place to live comparing other nations is that the Capitalism has just started to spread! Endless growth has to stop if we want to live decent ( no matter the domain we talk about ) ! Is a hard work to get this country back on track , but if the corrupt politicians will run the country this way, is all going to be worst! Is a matter of time until everyone will leave again! Too much negativity for today lol but we must point the truth! Massive respect Luke , all the best for you and your family!🫡
It really strikes me how we kind of swapped countries, I know what I left behind. The financial/political context at the time kind of made explore and try settle abroad, UK seemed to work as I embraced the culture and the friendliness (more friendly in Scotland to be honest). The political and Ukraine war context is still an issue so don't realy know if this is the best time to move back, but I am priviledged to have a second plan like most of my country fellow during Covid crisis.
both countries have good and bad aspects, i think it's possible to make a good life anywhere given the will to do it, feel free to email me if you want more details on the stuff i'm involved with headforthehillsromania@gmail.com
Yes, that is true, Romania is affordable and you can buy house with big land for maybe 20.000 euro in villages to be by drive at 15-20 mins from cities. This is amazing compare to west, north and south of Europe. But you need an income from outside of country to live your dream because i want to remind you that food price is same like in London and medium incomes deference is couple good thousands pounds
It's so nice to see people from the west discovering Romania. It is a beautiful country, and in the rural parts it's like going back in time, it has not been infected with modernisation and industrialisation and centralisation. But you still have access to all the commodities of a modern society. I think it is great with the cultural exchange between Europeans.
I came in UK to make some money, then i realized you guys basically have no life here..unless you are born rich! Life here is hectic and rushed, and to be honest i will never settle down in UK, me and my English wife will go back to my homeland and have a relaxed easy life !
@weldmaster1825 you started off wrong with your initial goal. Imagine, if you would have emigrated with the intention to also integrate, the raising money goal wouldn’t take you back to Romania. Now that being said, well done, settle where you feel at home ;) #rezist
@@randomromania I agree with the idea of not quite true :) Because all is a matter of perspective. I quote from the video -what do you like here?- people, they are so friendly.. and later on... you know.. road rage... but once you get used to it... -what you hate more about UK?-solicitors... and then later comes the same truth that is here... paperwork. so he run away from devil and meets devils mother:)) -what is the problem in UK? I was such an workaholic, here I am poorer but happier. Hmmm, you cannot be poor and happy in UK? For me both countries are the similar, obviously with some particularities. For example I am impressed by the canals. And those finger boats. If you fit one with solar panels.... such a calm life. And do not forget about the safety net. Give to any of us the income provided by a house in UK, and we will be living very happy here :) But at least you steered it right in the end. Romanians do not know what they got... Nor the brits. Well, I know very well what I have got. With good and bad. And I got used to it :)

Well, let me tell you a secret, with 10,000-15,000 pounds you can buy a decent house with 2000-3000 square meters, especially in the south of Romania. The soil is dark brown, ideal for any kind of organic farming. You will never buy something like this in England at the same price.🎉❇️🎋
Romanian dude here. He may want to plant Italian hazelnut trees and juneberry (Amelanchier Lamarckii) - no hassle, awesome fruit. I have them on my property and the family loves them. Also raspberries. I won't mention apples, pears, plums because those come by default. :)
Good video mate, i got you exactly what you mean, that’s what I’m trying to explain to the brits when they asked me about my country Romania and if i wanna turn back, I’m actually loving both countries and admit there are good and bad on both sides but realistically Romania is not that bad as a country. So yeah my plan is to relocate back home but i will always keep the door open in Uk as a back plan. Good luck with your dreams. Btw which part of Romania are you based?
I left Romania 23 years ago, i am in the Uk and happy about my life here. Unfortunately, i don't have anyone in Romania, and even if i wanted, i could never get back. I felt like a stranger in Romania on my last holiday there. It is sad, but many Romanians are in my exactly the same situation.
@@randomromania I will give you some examples why I am happy I left Romania! If you go in a shop and want to buy a pair of jeans, after you tried the 2nd pair, the seller will look at you very badly, it looks like he wants to kick you out. Whenever you go in a state institution, you need to queue for hours in front of the offices carrying a lot of paperwork and most of these office workers will treat you badly. We have corruption at high level in the state institutions. If you need to go to a hospital you need to bribe doctors, nurses, and bring your own medicines sometimes. They won't even look at you if you don't prepare envelopes with money. We have the most corrupt politicians, starting from former prime ministers. Every day on the news, politicians get arrested for fraud mostly but they will never go to prison. I could give you numerous examples which determined 6 millions Romanians to leave their country in the last 25 years looking for a better future. If I decide to open a business in Romania, if you don't give money to the right persons, in a few months time they will force you to close your business. These are only a few examples, everyone can confirm it
@@Magic-wo4sj , so you're telling me that the UK is better than Romania? In which way lmao, more crimes? Sure, you can EARN more , but for what price? Having your kids be corrupted by a degenerate ideology? Having your family be put to risk by living in areas like London? No thanks.
Magic, you are not alone. I have been living in the US for over 35 years and recently returned from a Romanian vacation with a dreadful feeling. The only pleasant experience was some of the people's interaction, who, in most cases, were extremely friendly and welcoming. Everything else is a mess from the 3-hour train ride delay to the neglected roads and crumbling infrastructure. I found the cost of living to be extremely high, especially in Bucharest, in many instances more expensive than Vienna or Budapest. The real estate prices are also insanely high. Unless you wanna live in the country, purchasing a house or apartment in any of the larger cities (Oradea, Timisoara, Brasov, Cluj, or Bucharest) has become for many cost-prohibitive. The level of indolence (lasă-mă ca să te las), lack of professionalism, and the general feeling of malaise drove me crazy. And you better be healthy and don't have any accidents because the healthcare is a disgrace! Everything looked so alien and could never see myself moving back.
I watched this video and I can resemble my self to Luke. I am from Malta and my wife is Romania. We experienced similar things. 😊 We did the same thing bought some or a lot in the countryside and moved here. Living here can be frustrating when it comes to basic things that is expected in return of paying your taxes like the local council providing street lights, cleaning of branches for public roads so garbage can be collected by trucks and not encourage to burn it or dump it in the country side like many locals do, not to have to pay. ..other then these things life is nice and you get value for money but with some sacrifices. I guess you can t have it all!

Take care.

Cheers! ❤

you will get fed up of Romania before even finishing your house...country is beautiful, people are lovely, but when it comes to dealing with government entities you don't need to hear about Romania and think to run as far away as you can
@@lauras1878 i've lived here since 2001, not fed up yet ;)
@@lauras1878 typically you can hire others to deal with government agencies so i guess that only matters if you can't afford to do that

Here in Romania with 1k-1.2k€ you can save 500+-€ ( aprox examples)
But still you have worst hospitals, police, highways etc
I was 5 years old when our family moved to Canada. Things are not nowhere as great a they were in Canada. Went for a long vacation back home (7 months). My wife is also romanian. People in both countries are mostly oblivious to their own state of affairs. I dont see much of a future for me my wife and 2 sons in the fas+$/st country called Canada. We will be returning to Romanaia in the near future.
No one cares
I personally don't give a rat's ass on a 2k, 3k, 4k 5k etc, salary in UK. It's next to nothing anyway unless it's double that when it starts to make sense. But i do care about touching a building (like any building) which is 300 years+, about the cleanest air i have ever breathed, and the greenest grass i have ever seen. About the beauty and grandness of that country you moved out from. When you'll face the bleakness of eastern europe you'll run back to take a stroll around Buckingham or thereabouts.
@@MrAlpinab7 Eastern Europe is anything but bleak. But I can understand your love of your own country. hi I stumbled across this video just now - I have done a very similar thing but the only thing that is different for us is that we are in Hungary near the Serbian border. As with Luke, went through hoops to buy the property and additional land but all sorted now including a fully renovated house. It was an old farm and now is has become our base to not only produce a lot of our own produce, we have created a TH-cam channel showing others all about regenerative gardening or growing
nice, i had a quick nose at your channel, drop me an email on headforthehillsromania@gmail.com
maybe there is some way we help each other. cheers
I appreciate the time I have spent in England, developed myself and the connections I have made and I hope one day I can sit at the same table with both of you, somewhere in Romania.
thank you :)
I don't recommend anyone tries to make a living or live from farming alone but growing your own food, animals for food while working online, remote or part time can work really well
Multumesc for your extra information, sir!

@@lsd8497 I know what I am talking about. Pls read carefully what i said, and if you still dont get, just google it.
Its called "Drept de preemtiune".

I came in UK to make some money, then i realized you guys basically have no life here..unless you are born rich!
Life here is hectic and rushed, and to be honest i will never settle down in UK, me and my English wife will go back to my homeland and have a relaxed easy life !
Not quite true but sadly can't discuss such issues here
Both countries have good and bad aspects.
@weldmaster1825 you started off wrong with your initial goal. Imagine, if you would have emigrated with the intention to also integrate, the raising money goal wouldn’t take you back to Romania. Now that being said, well done, settle where you feel at home ;) #rezist
Life is rushed and hectic here i say you said the truth.
@@randomromania I agree with the idea of not quite true :)
Because all is a matter of perspective.
I quote from the video
-what do you like here?- people, they are so friendly.. and later on... you know.. road rage... but once you get used to it...
-what you hate more about UK?-solicitors... and then later comes the same truth that is here... paperwork. so he run away from devil and meets devils mother:))
-what is the problem in UK? I was such an workaholic, here I am poorer but happier. Hmmm, you cannot be poor and happy in UK?
For me both countries are the similar, obviously with some particularities.
For example I am impressed by the canals. And those finger boats. If you fit one with solar panels.... such a calm life.
And do not forget about the safety net. Give to any of us the income provided by a house in UK, and we will be living very happy here :)
But at least you steered it right in the end. Romanians do not know what they got... Nor the brits.
Well, I know very well what I have got. With good and bad. And I got used to it :)
I am English, my wife is Romanian, we are considering moving to Romania in the next 5 years, what are the laws on renting a property out in the UK whilst living in Romania? Thanks, great channel, I enjoyed the house hunting episode.
drop me an email on headforthehillsromania@gmail.com and i'll send you some more detailed info. cheers
Great inspiration! Thank you! Sometimes we forget how blessed we are and need a video like this to be remembered. Congrats!❤
Thank you
What an inspirational story! Bravo!
Welcome to Romania Luke!
I'm glad to hear that you have found a good place to live ,where you are happy .
I am Romanian,i,ve left Romania 8 years ago, for living and working in the UK, but now i am gonna return to Romania.i would like to meet you one day.
My advice to you is to open your own business in Romania, and live your dreams, despite all your concerns.
Nice to see people like you, that are appreciating Romania.
It is funny how Luke is surprised by the amount of his land, but at the same time, you can see that he's aware that he has so many options/opportunities regarding the land.
Please share the Facebook groups if possible. I would love to meet new people who come to Romania, and I am curious to see what new ideas they have in their minds when they think about Romania.
F. "facebuci" .
9 months is ok. I am a Romanian who lives in London and we applied for planning permission to have an extra toilet in the flat and it took us about 6 months. It’s worth waiting for something you really want.
:))
good luck mate, hope it works out for you
I was going to Portugal in April to do the same thing there...now I'm not so sure
drop me an email on headforthehillsromania@gmail.com if you're interested and i can give you much more detailed information, portugal is beautiful but there are a number of drawbacks compared with romania that you may not have thought of
You got really good content, keep it coming.
thank you
I was born in Brașov România in 1994. I'm in England Dovedale Thorpe from 2017. I miss Romania!
Si eu sunt din Brasov.Vreau ca in 10 ani sa ma intorc in Romania.Am ceva pamant langa Craiova.Caut sa ma aociez cu un barbat muncitor si iubitor.
Great interview, and the quality of your videos keep incresing. Please make a special video with longer scenes from the intro, it look amazing.
thank you, a special video about what exactly?
@@randomromania the shots from the intro, the one with the drone of the mountains.
@@CristiIstrate oh i see, just a compilation of drone shots
@@randomromania exactly. Thank you for your replay.
@@CristiIstrate thank you, i will discuss the idea with the team :)
I’m English also married to a Romanian, and seeing the way the UK is going now I am strongly considering moving to Romania

Hi Luke, welcome to Romania!
Just found you, interesting channel!
thank you, please share our videos if you can :)
Wow this is amazing!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this clip.
Salut from Timisoara!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you!
I'm very happy for you Good luck, I'm from Romania in England, I'm a builder
Magic! Beautiful!
That your king is also welcome. I appreciate UK.❤
Im a Brit based in Bucharest.. Been here over 20yrs. Following you now to see your opinions.
Romanian dude here. He may want to plant Italian hazelnut trees and juneberry (Amelanchier Lamarckii) - no hassle, awesome fruit. I have them on my property and the family loves them. Also raspberries. I won't mention apples, pears, plums because those come by default. :)
thanks for that, feel free to get in touch on headforthehillsromania@gmail.com and give us more info. on what to grow
woah as a romanian I love this video and alot of helpful informations and stories! Thank you!!!
you're welcome
I guess this comment section is the place where people that can't sleep meet up 😂
@@axjkhl7699 i try to avoid sleep, early bird catches the worm
Yes. Hengist and Horsa were the first international land buyers
Btw which part of Romania are you based?
hi, drop me an email on headforthehillsromania@gmail.com for more detailed info. cheers. ed
I left Romania 23 years ago, i am in the Uk and happy about my life here. Unfortunately, i don't have anyone in Romania, and even if i wanted, i could never get back. I felt like a stranger in Romania on my last holiday there. It is sad, but many Romanians are in my exactly the same situation.
interesting, i feel the same about england in some ways, can you elaborate as to why you think you felt like that?
Thank you for this inspirational post 👏👏
Hi Luke be blessed with your family
No, we don't know, but thankfully, you are here to teach us savages the way 🫡🙄
You can teach yourselves, all the information you'll ever need is free on the internet, just need self belief and persistence
Fast development.
Tiger of the east.
Nice Romania.
I watched this video and I can resemble my self to Luke. I am from Malta and my wife is Romania. We experienced similar things. 😊
We did the same thing bought some or a lot in the countryside and moved here.
I guess you can t have it all!
good bless malta brothers from romania.
No . You are not the biggest impostor, you're normal, you don't know yet. You will be ok. There are books, Information everywhere, videos on TH-cam. And let's not forget the good people around you and the community around you.
it's incredible the information people have access to now but so many still complain about no opportunity and so on
