it was stroll..... this is 2 yrs old, only briefly during the race did they think it was verstappen. later during the race, after the race and in interviews it was constantly repeated it wasnt verstappen.
Lets be fair, there are a number of factors at play here. Lets not just assume it was a walk in the park, starting that far back. 1.This helps highlight the problem with passing aids. It gives every car on the track (especially the strongest) much greater ease in passing and there isn't much of a battle that can be given. This gives the dominant cars even more of an advantage over slower cars. 2.Max still had to look after the car which also had to function perfectly mechanically. (Tires, engine, etc). One thing failed and it was probably a retirement or loss. 3.Max has proven he is ambitious enough to push the limits and skilled enough to get the job done against other good drivers on the grid. Regardless of his earlier years in F1, he's proven himself. 4.Making a pass of 1 or more cars in the first corner of Spa is not anything amazing. The first corner at many tracks is typically a location where many grid places are traded on the first lap regardless of car strength. 5.(I hate using this comparison since people generally blow it way out of proportion). This reverberates back to Japan 88, when Senna dropped from front of the grid to 16th place, due to a technical problem. He then fought his way be back to catch, pass, and beat teammate Prost for the championship win. Putting on this performance from the middld of the grid deserves more credit. Please do not misunderstand this statement, Max is nowhere in the same universe as Senna, but I do give him credit here because I think its due.
Also a good advertisement for shorter DRS zones on certain tracks. I really hope they shorten the Kemmel Straight DRS zone, back to what it was in 2017 and earlier. Even shorter than that would be nice, it's proven to be far too powerful
Seeing Mclaren with the best pace in Miami and Silverstone, The only two high speed tracks before this. I bet they can give Red Bull a fight in Spa as well but they still have Drag in straight line speed I guess it would be the Verstappen factor that'll matter but that too looks not possible bcoz he'll take an Engine Penalty
Even if redbull does solve the braking problems with the rb20 this weekend, they still need to deal with its high tyre degradation. Hope they pull their wits together, otherwise it’s downhill for them as the season goes on.
RBR really, REALLY fucked up somewhere, being a motorsport fan obviously you’re gonna develop a short memory, cars, drivers and teams change like weather in F1 so you need to stay in the moment and look forward to really gauge what cars and teams are improving and declining, with that being said, I completely forgot how fast Max and RBR were… watching F1 since the mid 00s I’ve seen some really fast cars dominate, like Vettel’s RBR team, Brawn for half a season, Mercedes with Nico and Lewis, but what Max and RBR had from 22’ to early 24’ was unbelievable, in years past there was always one to two guys that would come close to the dominant guys, like Danny Ric, Alonso, Vettel at Ferrari, but with Max’s RBR, there was NOBODY that could do anything aside from Singapore.. literally zero chance at coming close to winning if Max stayed out of trouble, which is why what McLaren and Ferrari has done to close the gap mid season is an insane feat that’s not getting the recognition it deserves imo, RBR and Max were on a different planet, McLaren in particular was dead last with speed for a while, so for them to develop the fastest car is so incredible.. and it’s also incredible the way RBR has somehow fallen off a cliff in the span of a few weeks, and they did it so badly that even reversing the failed upgrade and fixing the potential issue didn’t do anything.. this F1 season is being overshadowed by the parity in winners, but honestly the biggest storyline should be how Mclaren and Ferrari in particular closed up to RBR so quickly. It’s really something special to see two teams find the speed to run down a team that was an absolute powerhouse in such a short timeframe.

342km overtake, right before the braking point, he's still enjoying his prime physique, just, top performance
You missed the moment when Max used the banana tear off trick from Mario Kart to ruin Leclerc's front brake xD
In the end it was confirmed to be a stroll tear off
it was stroll..... this is 2 yrs old, only briefly during the race did they think it was verstappen.
later during the race, after the race and in interviews it was constantly repeated it wasnt verstappen.
it was strolls stuuupid dog
I believe Yeli has a video on that I could be wrong.
100-200kph in 2 seconds is nuts
God damn. It looks like he turned on easy mode, but its quite the opposite. Holy shit.
0:45 stroll gives max the bird
I was there and to witness this was insane
Im starting to think that his car really was faster than everyone elses
Legendary performance!
When you're playing f1 myTeam and you've unlocked all the upgrades
4:35 it's not just a rocketship, he's literally destroying and humiliating his teammate.
Also a good advertisement for shorter DRS zones on certain tracks. I really hope they shorten the Kemmel Straight DRS zone, back to what it was in 2017 and earlier. Even shorter than that would be nice, it's proven to be far too powerful
This car brake much better than any other.
"Puta merda, isso foi do cacete!" - Bruto, Billy
He better make a comeback this weekend!
Seeing Mclaren with the best pace in Miami and Silverstone, The only two high speed tracks before this.
I bet they can give Red Bull a fight in Spa as well but they still have Drag in straight line speed
I guess it would be the Verstappen factor that'll matter but that too looks not possible bcoz he'll take an Engine Penalty
Look like me when I playing F1 game with 31% AI 😂😂😂
It was insane to witness this live, to see the gap that he pulled in real time was insane.
Nobody even attempted to defend, of course he would be P1 in such a short time in that thing
why waste time in a losing battle potentially ruining ur tires if u know hes gonna fly past u anyways
could you please reupload Pouhon taken flat by different cars video? I cannot find it anymore :(
ADRIAN NEWEY EFFECT
😅😅😅😅
If Verstappen was not P1 on start, we would watch 2~20 min until he got P1, great days kk
I think your analysis can be put up top like subtitle, no need to blur the whole screen. I bet it took a lot of energy of you for video editing.
in quali that weekend, Max secured the fastest time without having to do the second attempt in q3
Even if redbull does solve the braking problems with the rb20 this weekend, they still need to deal with its high tyre degradation. Hope they pull their wits together, otherwise it’s downhill for them as the season goes on.
very weird choice covering half the screen with a black box just to show a little bit of text
I was like him when I used to play Grand Prix 3 with Mika Hakkinen
Hey I'm still able to see part of the video between the text that pops up. You might want to make the box permanent to block it completely throughtout the video duration
2:35 what a rocket 🚀🚀
Yeah it's so dominant or I should say easy when you have the FIA on your side plus with the best car on grid which much more superior pace to any other team, of course it will look dominant and ease play.
Verstappen beast mode activated
*cheat mode
That car was completely dominant during that season, Max is a great driver that makes very little mistakes. I just don't like that Perez didn't get the same car after the Monaco race. On side by sides Perez steering, ride, and engine power wasn't the same as Max's. I'm a Hamilton Fan and being unfair to a Driver because he was challenging the number one driver of your team is not being competitive at all. That's an integrity issue.
Adrian Newey is a genius.
