I believe this was a Honda pilot or something of that sort. I'm not familiar with the style of Lock a mini Cooper has on it. Most locks if you turn them to the honor accessory position there's a pin in the back you can push to release the core.
I've been a locksmith for over 20 years. I do not recommend doing this....ever! Not that I'm trying to force people to use a locksmith, but you can mess things up in a hurry doing this. But whatever.....nobody's gonna listen to me anyway.
I would not recommend this either as standard practice but this situation this was the quickest best option. Replace the pin and lock cylinder, reprogram a new key and off they go.
Why would they listen to you? You are telling people how not to do it, when you know there is a better way to do it, but aren’t telling us. So yeah! I’m not listening unless you have help to solve problem, instead of knocking the help people are willing to give. It always comes down to money
Where did you get that tool?
What kind of core puller is this?
What is the name and brand of the core puller? Is it sold on Amazon?
Suzuki Vitara, key not turning. Do you think it will work? Thanks for the info.
It should
I need a link to buy the coil puller as show on your video sir
It's a lock core puller. It's not hard to find but it's sold under various names from various sites.
Will that only work on a Honda? How about an 04 Mini Cooper S?
