- A simple mixture recipe explained by Sudarshan Bhat Bedradi, Bhat‘n'bhat
Today's video presents about how to prepare home made mixture by using simple ingredients readily available at home. Home made mixture can be prepared according to our taste as we have freedom to add spice, salt and other ingredients as we want. This mixture includes thick sev, thin sev, Kara boondi, fried gram dal, fried ground nuts, fried thick poha. Additional ingredients are red chilli and curry leaves. Such homemade mixture is better in health view, than eating from outside.
Ingredients to prepare boondi
Gram flour 1cup
Salt to taste
Chilli powder 1/2tsp
Hing
Water
Ingredients to prepare sev
Gram flour 3cups
Rice flour 1/4cup
Salt to taste
Chilli powder 3/4thtsp
Hing
Water
Other ingredients
Soaked gram dal 1cup
Groundnut 1/2cup
Thick poha 1/2cup
Red chilli 4
Curry leaves
Salt
Chilli powder
Sugar 1sp

Even though I am from a family and a community who earn their livelihood through cooking, I never took an active interest in it because of my engineering profession. I have seen almost all videos of Sudarshan. With childlike smile, he gained a lot of practical knowledge of preparing centuries old food preparations. With this educative videos, parents should persuade children opt for this type of homely foods rather than going for Pizzas etc.

There is nothing like Indian vegetarian food. I tell this to American born children with attitude towards our great food, I love them.
Yes, its good to some extent. However, the range of proteins is much more in meat dishes than vegetarian. If I need to do physical work at my workplace, having veg. food, will not suffice. I do need my proteins from meats.
One can just have eggs, chicken along with some veg dishes & see the difference. Can you explain to American born children why Indian children are so malnourished? How come India just produces a handful of medal winners at major sporting events?
