I'd never heard these carols before. I especially like the echo carol, and the last one that ends on the major. What is that called -- the picardy third? Lovely!
What is the thinking behind piano roll as opposed to score ? I think a lot of people on this channel might appreciate the score more than the roll, just a thought?
good point. many of my original examples and quick compositions aren't notated, so i've got in the habit and built the skill of reading from the piano roll, even when composing counterpoint. i know for a fact that the majority of my subscribers aren't musically literate, though there are plenty of folks here like you and I that came up reading. opinions differ on this, but for every comment like this, i've three or four supporting the timeline view. if i'm honest, i believe that conventional notation can be off-putting to the self-taught composers and producers that i'm most directly trying to reach.
