Loving Loki's personal arc...and in such a short time! Remember when Loki said that he betrayed everyone who ever loved him? Of course he never said anything about betraying those that *HE* loved, because he's never really loved anyone but himself...until now. Loki's ability to love others...Mobius as a friend...Sylvie as a partner...is what's opening the path for him to become a true hero. Loki and Sylvie are easily growing into two of the most complex three-dimensional characters in the MCU, and I love them both!
Ummmm, of COURSE he loved both his mother and his brother - even his father. There was hurt feelings, pain, betrayal and jealousy etc. that kind of complicated his feelings and made him lash out but he loved them. Loki has NEVER only loved himself. In fact I would say that him NOT loving himself, and feeling so desperate to prove himself superior to stop feeling unworthy and less than. and to seem indifferent and unaffected when he was everything but that, was why he ended up hurting and betraying people who loved him, and that he loved as well. I think the reason for his personal growth is more that he has started seeing himself differently. He saw how much Frigga, Odin and Thor did love him despite everything he had done when he viewed his "file", not to mention what he lost by pushing them away and hurting them. Sylvie has shown him a new kind of glorious purpose and the kind of person he wants to be, Old Loki showed him that he has far more power and strength than he has ever given himself credit for, Mobius has shown faith in him and offered hope that he can change his preplanned destiny and become whatever he wants to be so he can be proud and happy with the kind of man he is.... so many things have made him finally dare to believe that he can be better and that he doesn't deserve, or is destined to, be alone. I simply don't feel that him loving others is in any way a new development.... you can argue that him allowing himself to acknowledge that he cares, and to show others that he cares about them and risk that kind of vulnerability to getting hurt and betrayed if that is used against him, is new, but he has always been more than capable of loving others.
Besides Loki, Mobius is my favorite character. I love him so much, he's so warm, and reliable, and such a good friend. That hug was everything to me. I love, love, love Mobius. Can't wait to see your reaction to episode 6.
*Fun facts: What actually really funny is that Loki is a 𝖥𝗋𝗈𝗌𝗍 𝖦𝗂𝖺𝗇𝗍. He can’t feel cold but when he with Sylvie, he’s trying to acted like cold, shared his blanket and try to cuddle with Sylvie is the best moment ever for Loki* *PS: Classic Loki is absolute legend in this episode, he died with his Glorious Purpose and he did what he had to do*
Love watching these with you!! As a guy who works all day every day in a pandemic where my social life is just shot, I'm always excited to watch along with someone.
Hey, Kazzy! The episode's title, "Journey Into Mystery", is the name of the anthology comic that first featured Thor's adventures before he graduated to his own title. Easter Egg hunt in the Void! -- the lighthouse of Alexandria -- Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum -- Avengers Tower under different ownership -- the 'Mary Celeste' -- a flying saucer -- Red Skull's gyro-jet -- half-buried Easter Island-sized busts -- giant Yellowjacket's helmet -- Thanos 'copter -- Mjolnir -- Frog Thor aka Throg in a jar from the famous Walt Simonson story rooted in actual myth -- Polybius arcade machine -- Hi-C Ecto-Cooler juice box -- the Sphinx -- USS Eldridge from the Philadelphia Experiment -- Ronan's 'Dark Aster' -- a massive bust of The Living Tribunal -- a SHIELD helicarrier Loki's been tossed into the garbage dump of the cosmos with the smoke monster from "Lost"! I love the sloping lanes of the underground bowling alley that double as slides! The Lokis swap Nexus event stories: Kid Loki killed Thor, 'Gator Loki ate the wrong cat, Loki Thor dubiously triumphed and Classic Loki became a hermit who ached for companionship. CANDIDATE LOKI arrives! Loki Thor betrays Kid Loki but then Candidate Loki betrays Loki Thor but then Candidate Loki's army betrays Candidate Loki but then it's a free-for-all for the Candy Cane Throne! 'Gator makes a meal of Candidate's hand! Lol. Ravonna and Sylvie both want answers but Ravonna betrays Sylvie. Sylvie SELF-PRUNES! Sylvie touches Alioth's mind and glimpses a chateau. MOBIUS to the rescue in a pizza delivery car! B-15 is being kept on ice for Ravonna to grill! Ravonna starts digging through the Forbidden Files for answers. Everyone meets up near Alioth. Classic Loki, 'Gator Loki and Kid Loki stay behind to await Kid's YOUNG AVENGERS summons. Lol. Kid Loki bequeaths his firesword to 2012. Mobius takes Sylvie's TemPad back to the TVA to wreak havoc and hugs it out with 2012. Sylvie and 2012 Loki take on Alioth but they're outmatched! CLASSIC LOKI comes through in the clutch and finds his GLORIOUS PURPOSE! A noble sacrifice! 2012 unlocks his inner enchanter! Teamwork makes the dream work and Alioth parts to reveal the mysterious chateau she glimpsed earlier. My money is still on KANG or one of his variants like IMMORTUS.
Hope the move was good, Kazzy. I finally subscribed to you. Your pure heart and soul was enough for me to join. This show has been nothing but glorious. The different versions of Loki were amazing to witness, especially the greatest Loki of all: Alligator Loki! By the way, the story Classic Loki was telling about Thanos was a fan theory from Avengers: Infinity War 3 years ago when Thanos killed Loki. We got one more episode to go, and I can't wait for you to see it.
I'm listening with earphones and I can't hear any rainfall. Although I AM jealous because the whole of Southern England is sweltering in a 30 degree Celsius heatwave and it's not due to rain here until Saturday...😳
Likely in Kid Loki's timeline, he killed a young Thor either by accident, or by taking one of his tricks too far. Since almost no Loki's would ever do such a thing, the other Loki's respect/fear him because they believe he is extremely ruthless and dangerous. Truth is he probably just a kid who screwed up and feels intensely sad for what he did.
That was a amazing episode like WOW can’t believe there’s a alligator Loki that was funny & don’t you just love Owen Wilson glad he’s in the MCU still sad that one of the Loki’s made the sacrifice 😢
My editor ended up doing a pretty good job of minimizing the sound! More audible probably in the Full Watch Along but also, with the movie going simultaneously, still probably wasn't that noticeable.
you said "soul" soon right? when? spies in disguise and american gods too sooner or later? would be crazy if it was just sylvie and Loki in the end and then the other Lokis show up through portals :)
I think Richard E. Grant stole the show on this one, and with his mastery over sorcery and illusions I don't think this is the last we'll see him. About your confusion with Kid Loki killing Thor: that monitor that showed what happened from when Sylvie "bombed" the "Sacred Timeline" in episode 2, all those branching lines, that's supposed to be the natural order of things (at least according to the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics, which is a real thing). Every outcome of every event having its own universe, possibly up to infinity. Until this show and also according to it, all of the MCU has been what the Time Keepers (or really, whoever created them and the TVA) have dictated can be the one and only version of events that can ever happen ever. The "Sacred Timeline".
I am about to watch your ep 6 reaction. The ending reactions are always more fun for me to watch because I love to see how you take the twists. I loved this show but I have to say the MCU is getting a little predictable for me. I have wandered how they were going to handle the TVA since they have taken a divergent story from the comics about the Time Keepers and the mission of the TVA and the multiverse. I have to say after the finale the future of the MCU looks exciting.
Richard E. Grant was in a series of comic shorts called "Posh Nosh," lampooning chichi cooking programs. The eight brief episodes are available on youtube. th-cam.com/video/bzjR0yL4f0Y/w-d-xo.html

Sylvie is a frost giant too, so she wasn’t actually cold either
This whole show was fantastic like each episode was incredible and blew my mind , I.can't wait for Season 2
Classic Loki did say that he wove an illusion so realistic that it even fooled Thanos, so...
I like to think he's still alive.
When Loki puts the blanket around him and Sylvia he just really wanted to be close because Frost Giants don't get cold and Loki's frost giant 😂👏🤧
RIP Classic Loki. Also, I'm gonna need a Pet Avengers show with Throg in charge and Aligator Loki as a recurring villain and sometimes teammate.
alligator Loki doesn't take no shit off from no one

GLORIOUS PURPOSE!!!!!!!!
Thor must've been a kid himself when Kid Loki killed him. That would make the most sense, wouldn't it?

Was getting confused there for a moment with Superman, Zod, and Donald Glover. Thought i must have blinked when originally checking it out. :)
Sorry man. You were in the wrong universe and it got pruned
My hearing must be going because I hear zero rain, but I wonder if the Void appearing means we get Sentry in MCU cause that's be insane

Classic Loki and Boastful Loki drink box wine, Roxxiwine from Roxx mart which is part of Roxxon oil while Kid Loki dricks Hi C Ecto from the Ghostbusters era, the 1980s version not the 2016 crappy reboot
The writing on the hatch is in Hindi saying things like Do Not Enter, it was part of India's nuclear weapons program
The bridge towers were from the Golden Gate Bridge and the Oakland bridge in San Francisco proving my point that filmmakers hate the Golden Gate Bridge, it is THE most destroyed landmark in movie history
President Loki, another comic book storyline when Loki ran for US president
The USS Eldrige, part of The Philadelphia Experiment from ww2 to try to turn warships invisible but disappeared without a trace when they turned it on
