    Wow, this was interesting. I have never been interested in cup making even if I love the odor of the clay we used in elementary school when I was a kid. But this changed my view and it looks that making these kind of things could be my new hobby, who knows. I am a magician and was searching knowledge about the Undrinkable Cup of Tantalus and that lead me here.

    Suggestion: why don't you throw the center cone cover by opening your small lump of centered clay down to the bat, pulling up the walls and closing them at the top. That way there would be little to no trimming needed.

    Great video, and thanks for all of your vids.
    I think that as long as the lower hole into the chamber is covered by water it's size doesn't really matter. The height of the top of the hole into the chamber will define how much of the volume drains out, as soon as air enters the chamber the suction will be lost and the siphon will be broken.

    first style of this kind of puzzle cup I have seen their are also ones where you have to figure out how to drink out of them
