I like how they advertise "unlimited free egress", but in their fine print it states "as long as you dont have more egress/month than data stored" which makes this solution more expensive than backblazes b2, they are priced exactly the same when you consider downloading all your data every month.
But in which case would you need to download all of it every month? I mean it might happen but in the majority of use cases it's not common, which makes wasabi financially competitive. Add to that the performance part, I've used backblaze and they are not the best in terms of performance from what I've seen. My fear with wasabi is more the longevity of the company, I am afraid one day they close and leave customers in panic.
@@jhonedoe3734 well there are cases where you really really really want more than all of your data. If you wanna use it like a cdn, or want files to be distributed to multiple locations. Why would you think that wasabi will just close shop one day?i think they too could be profitable sometime.
