Thanks man I appreciate that. I loved getting through it. Congrats, that's a long ass time. Its a process, making it through all the psychological stuff especially..letting all the chemistry get back right. Sometimes it seems like it's not ever going to get better but it does..and I'm sure you see that by now.

@@tbruce7909 Dude, I still get "mini cravings" 8-9+ months clean from any opiates, but they only last about 2-5 minutes and I know how to combat them now! I just literally remind myself how far I've come, and how shitty my life was before. Almost instantly, my brain understands how stupid it would be to relapse haha.
Once you start associating opiates with bad times and bad thoughts instead of glorifying or romanticizing about using again, it's much easier to control those cravings. Dude, not sure if you do this, but wake up everyday and right down 3-5 goals you want to get done. Helps me get started on the right path each day.
Keep it up buddy, and feel free to reach out if you have any other questions about the process!! 😎🤙💪

I’ve also been taking about 3oz a day for 3 years. When I first started it, I thought Kratom was a miracle plant, but tolerance is no joke. You start off low, but then want to continue experiencing that “fuzzy” feeling you got from the first time you took it. So you just take more and more. 3oz is a LOT, but it’s unfortunately very easy to get up there.
Erica, I’m about to quit due to being laid off and not being able to afford it. Any tips you might have? Are there any supplements that helped you get through it? I’m honestly dreading the hell out of it.

@@scottyp6880 so my main advice is make a game plan to keep yourself busy. This is 90%mental. So whatever u personally do to stay grounded but takes little.physical ...do it. Prepare. Get coloring books, models, whatever u need to keep busy. Try to sleep AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. Like I said day 3 was first day in yrs I woke up NOT covered in sweat and I was beyond excited. As far as supplements i took clonapin first 2 days ( i never take benzos) no more than 2 days of that. I didnt eat much, chugggged fluids and made myself sweat as much as possible. The thing is here..u can do this the long drawn out hard way or a fast hard way. I decided i didnt want to lay in bed for a week so i legit did everhthing i could to get it out fast. Other things that can help first phase is magnesium (does wonders for legs. Can get at any store), vallarian root, melatonin, nyquil for sleep. I would take up meditation if u havent or look up grounding exercises. Bc u have to keep yourself from freakn out ya know. But u can do this. The horror stories online, ignore them. I used more than anyome i know and day 3 was different. Just push oush push fluids man and stay strong. U do got this. Here for support.

Thanks for this, very well spoken. Day 3-4 was very similar for me, I was shocked to already be feeling better physically. I’m about to hit day 7, i’m past the physical symptoms and now deep in the mental battle.
Every day I have to fight my brain trying to convince me to buy some on the way home from work. Also having trouble finding enjoyment in things I usually love doing. I know it will all pass though.

    • @tbruce7909
      @tbruce7909  5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

I am happy to hear you are past the physical stuff, that's a lot of the battle right there. As far as struggling with wanting to buy it..I feel your pain. I just had to accept that It's not good for me and I can't take it. Once you accept that you can't take it, it's no longer a battle. It helps if you "play the tape all the way through"..for example think about what happens after you take it? You will spend money on it, then take it, then feel good for like 2 hours, then want more, then go to bed with the feeling gone and knowing you lost all progress you made. It makes it less appealing to take it if you think about the end result.

I'm ready to quit Now...I'm basically out and was worried about the moodlift and motivation Kratom gave me but aam just not enjoying it any longer, It was good for the brutal subox withdrawals but i should have quit awhile back but my addicted behavior kept wanting more...Aprox 30 grams per day and to be honest I almost welcome the withdrawals because they will NOT be anything like subs WD's. That's great that you at least got off suboxone and moved to something that the earth produces...huge plus. Yeah the withdrawals are real severe for some people and for others it's not so bad. In my opinion, it's not as bad as when I would come off of oxy but it still sucks physically for about 3 to 4 days. You might consider cutting that 40 grams down to 20 for a couple days if you can...I don't have the self control to taper but some folks out there can. Good luck with everything and just remember that the worst of it will pass in a few days. I watched a lot of Netflix and that helped me get through a little easier.

I've been taking 500 grams every 2 weeks for about 2 years now. It's really helped me with work since I'm pushing 2 jobs at about 16hrs a day... one of the major problem with taking kratom is that it's not addictive if you take it once a week but if you take it every day then your gonna start to become addicted. It's the same species of plants as coffee. I have noticed a loss of memory and motivation, this what drive me to quit. I'm on day 2 and the withdraws are uncomfortability, back pain and temperamental. I have nothing against this tea but if your going start taking it make sure you give yourself time to recuperate before taking more.

I'm glad I looked this up. I used it to get off opiates and I'm on a pretty low dose (2-3g per day) I've only taken it for about a week. I'm going to stop and just deal with the pain for a few days. Fuck that restless leg stuff in my joints. Best way to get off any opiate is to try and sleep as much as possible. Take sleeping pills w/e works. Immodium (loperamide) will help relieve withdrawals but you have to take at least 20 at a time. They do last at least 12 hours though before the pain will come back. BE WARNED though, you absolutely can become addicted to immodium and trust me that is not any more fun than any other addiction.

This past Monday I had a seizure for the first time in my life and I'm convinced kratom caused it. I only take 3.5 grams in the morning and 4.5 in the evening every day for about 7 months. I kicked my norco habit and felt great. Everything was going good untill I was sitting in my car at IN-N-OUT and all of a sudden I got reall light headed and dizzy like I was gonna faint. Then my hands and feet started tingling and going numb. I called my mom who's a nurse and lives down the street and told her what was happening and she came to pick me up. By the time she got there my arms and legs were fully numb like I was injected with lidocaine and ice cold. I thought I was going to die and was praying to God to save me. My heart was beating through the roof and I could barely walk out of my car into my moms. She rushed me to the emergence room but by the time I got their the symptoms went away. I didnt go in because I dont have insurance so I just quit cold Turkey. I'm on day 4 and feel ok but last night I had a similar episode but much more mild than the first one. Has anyone had this happen to them? Please share if you have experienced something like this.

If you are honest about the amount you are taking, less than 10 g a day then no it wasn't Kratom. I'm a daily user and sometimes take double that a day. I did in the past have a seizure on tramadol, full blown Gran Mal. When mine happened I didn't remember any signs it was going to happen. It was just like someone turned off a switch. It would take an enormous amount of Kratom,or mixing it with something to seiz. I've heard taking a high amount and even smoking weed can do it to. Keep in mind everyone is different and it is possible you are allergic maybe. Withdrawals are real with Kratom but it's maybe 1/20th as bad as opiates. So I doubt a withdrawal would do it either..best of luck

I’m doing fine, the withdrawals are nothing compared to norcos and alcohol, I’m just bummed out that I can’t take kratom anymore because I really like it. I already quit blow and opiates so now I just drink beer and smoke weed. Hopefully one day I can go full sober but I’ve been escaping reality since I was 12 years old. I’m 33 now and I’ve drastically cut back on everything but it’s still there like a monkey on my back. It’s in my nature to get high on something, I started way too young.

When you tell yourself, "This is going to suck." Guess what? Acknowledging it is HUGE. It's big and scary, but you must do it to feel better. I'm the same way man. It's so easy to just take some kratom and temporarily fix all the problems you have but every day that goes by the harder it is to stop. Maybe try a job change where you dont have as frequent of contact and pressure? If it's your career then I understand but just a job can be switched up for something else real quick. Also what I usually suggest to people is trying to taper off of Kratom before going cold turkey. It's so much easier on your body and it helps you transition into regular living without the highs and lows more slowly instead of going cold turkey and having this huge change happen all at once. After I went cold turkey I ended up taking Kratom again and then I tapered. Literally what I did was order one of those $10 ammo boxes that you can lock off of amazon and I would weigh out my doses and lock them up. Right before I would go to bed and night I would go on to the back porch and throw the keys on to the roof. Since I'm such a late sleeper and I'm always in a rush I wouldn't have the time to go get a ladder and climb up on the roof. That's just me. You have to figure out your own way to cheat yourself.

Nose is running, my eyes are tearing up. Energy in my legs and arms, I cant sleep, and I have cold flashes that run all over my body. I never felt sick from taking Kratom, so maybe that's why I was able to eat so much, I used to put heaping spoonfuls on my tongue, and wash it down with water. Lol the only thing that seems to help is to keep active, and my symptoms aren't as bad. Also for whatever reason, classical music helps, and I've never even liked it before

The downside was cystic acne and my facial hair stopped growing. But you know dopeheads throw temper tantrums when people bring up the negative side of kratom. Dry eyes, blurry vision, eye pain, weird headaches, cold forehead, stomach pain, severe constipation, impaired and delayed decision making, ect ect...even at low dose. But dopehead crybabies dont wanna admit the weird negative side effects. A lot of us were using our painkillers as a cognitive enhancer to help us work then you dopeheads ruined it because all you wanna do is get high. Everyone's body reacts differently but I would say that a majority will have some kind of withdrawal effects from coming off of kratom. Some people say that they don't though so maybe you are in that class..or you could have mild withdrawal effects. Kratom acts on the opiate receptors which is why people who are coming off of prescription painkillers or heroin will have lessened withdrawals when making the switch.
