This is so dope. I hated how HCTP basically had all the assets to the removed wrestlers but not the wrestlers themselves.
Yeah it sucks those guys weren't in there. But at least Yukes left the moves in there so if you were able to create them, you had the moves & taunts there to use.
Honestly, it reminds me of how Spike had moves etc available in King of Colosseum & Fire Pro Wrestling. To get around potential lawsuits & whatnot
Cool vid 👍😎 I never got to play any mod versions or anything...and I was super disappointed Jeff wasn't in HCTP. That's definitely one of his alt attires from Shut Your Mouth. I was liking that other one they made for HCTP where he has the face and body paint like in 02-03 period.

Hulk Hogan looks spot on. Damn near how he looked in Shut Your Mouth. Taz as well. Hell of an X-Pac too. Billy Gunn almost looks how he did in SYM.
Looks like Jeff Hardy & Road Dogg may need some work but at least they're in the mod
To tell you the truth, the majority of the characters look almost identical to how they looked in Shut your mouth.

I agree. The ring sound in HCTP was great.
To me, it seemed like Yukes was trying to copy the sound of the ring from the Jim Crockett promotions days in NWA/wCw in HCTP. WWF/E rings didn't sound like that.

A lot of people overlook Taz. Maybe bc his in ring stuff in WWE was cut short by injury, or his booking was bad, or all they remember is him as a commentator on SD.
But he was good in the ring. Him & X-Pac definitely get overlooked

It's sad when they removed them from video games because you're not the same Superstars like they were a long time ago even their contracts. And to stay healthy in the wrestling business. Now they're all Hall of Famers.
I hope the Hardy Boys get inducted in the Hall of Fame anytime soon you've been doing this for a long time since WWF.
DX was a surprise I didn’t know they were cut
Some of these guys left for tna when the game was in development so as for that they were cut from the game also most of there contracts a were up at that time also some people were injured so the wasnt able to make the cut

Scotty's hair model for some reason looks unusually good like higher quality than the default rendered hair for other superstars.
The reason why WWE Superstars are removed from video games because we don't hardly see them as much
On television even doing through their contracts.
It's according how long they've been wrestling for a long time
That is the current reason why Vince McMahon which Superstar to be removed from games all because we don't see them as much on television live.
Or some are fired at a certain point like in Jeff Hardys case

It would potentially be a skinny @$$ roster. WWE was/is releasing "superstars" (PRO WRESTLERS) like hotcakes these days
This looks good but from someone who has played a lot of HTCP recently, these look like really good CAW with the moveset already in the game for a lot of these guys.

How is it that Yukes in 2003, ON PS2, was removing wrestlers from HCTP for various reasons but the games following HCTP always have old rosters etc by their release date??

Hogan’s actual win pose from SYM is still on the HCTP disk, right? I know that Jeff Hardy and Billy Gunn’s win poses are still on the disk, you just need a cheat device and/or hacking.

I would love to have access to these wrestlers instead of the CAW versions. The CAW feature on HCTP isn't as good as Shut Your Mouth. The CAW's look noticably awkward even if you are good at creating them yourself. Their fighting stance makes them look short and their legs from the knee down are weird. Clothes and outfits are limited. They look painted on as well. For some reason you can't place logos or designs over the front and back of the tights. It disappears in those areas. That's just odd
I wish Tazz, Ultimate Warrior, Hulk Hogan, Jeff Hardy, and Scotty 2 Hotty were in. Even Andre, Sting, Jerry Lawler, Ricky Steamboat, Dusty Rhodes, Bret Hart, Razor Ramon, Sandman, Sabu, and Tommy Dreamer.
Would've been the best roster ever with them in it.

Just have Vince, Stephanie, Bischoff, Jim, Slaughter, Rikishi, and Nikolai in creating superstar parts.

He doesnt show you how get that superstars, because its so hard understand and follow the tutorials of Smacktalcks page, only the people who dont surrender when fatal crash or dirty disc error ocurrs can mod the wwe games.

Billy Bad A$$ was on Shut Your Mouth the previous year just like X-Pac. And their wrestlers looked just as good in this mod as they did in SYM.

Billy Gunn was gonna be in HCTP (likely with the Mr. Ass gimmick, as that’s what he was doing on SD in 2003 when this game released). Don’t know why he was cut, as he was still an active member of the roster.

Well granted before they all got removed they had only did there models in this was all early in production, they don’t do go back re-edit anything until toward the end of production when the game is about to release & final trailers come out. They try to create & fix as much stuff in the time frame they are given until the first gameplay trailer drops after that that’s when they go in one by then one & re-edit things so they probably didn’t have time to do so cause by that time WWE told them delete because Jeff Hardy had been fired, I believe Scotty 2 hotty was either in diff company or in talks with one & hulk hogan had just “retired”
