I'm trying to have more self-care and me-time lately, my favourite sefl care: listening to relaxing music, lighting a candle, and doing a facial massage. Trying to incorporate more anti-aging steps into my skincare routine, like retinol cream from drunk elephant, and facial oils. I'm a big fun of facial oils, so have a realtively larger collection - Vintners Daughter, Tata Harper, Pai, La Coess are my favirotes, face oil works so well with my senstive skin and cancle out the bad irriatation effect from the retinol I use. x

Paulas choice have an amazing range of chemical exfoliators for all skin types, I 100% recommend for you! They also have a fabulous anti aging range you could look into. I’ve only just found you but I’m totally obsessed with your channel & aesthetic! I’d love to see a flat tour/room tours as I’m about to buy a house and need inspiration!

The Ren Ready Steady Glow Tonic is amazing! It’s lactic acid based and it works really well for sensitive and dry/dehydrated skin. I just use it every couple of days, not daily as it suggests 😊 It’s a pump bottle - so compatible with reusable pads - and a bottle lasts me about 9 months, so much longer than the exfoliators which come in the pre soaked rounds.

Just stumbling across this video but if you see this, a really good lactic based toner you can use with your reusable pads is the Pestle and Mortar NMF Lactic Acid Toner. Really gentle but effective- I've been loving it!

Thoroughly recommend buying your reusable cotton pads on Etsy rather than amazon - there's loads of great sellers on there. I also love the Caudalie spf 50, it's mineral based and I use it as a moisturiser + spf every morning and it's fab x

If there was ever another human that I hoped would share their skincare routine, it would be you! You have gorgeous skin!
Although we don't have the same skin type, I think most people are generally hoping for the same outcome - unproblematic, balanced, clear, smooth, and even toner skin.
I've started dabbling in Korean and other Asian skincare and I have to say I have been loving it, particularly for SPF.
So glad you shared your routine, there's certainly a lot to learn from you and your beautiful face!
    💗

Don’t feel bad about the Elemis pads, even if you found the product in liquid form you’re still using plastic to store it. You’re doing fine! You always have the best skincare routines toooo

I'm trying to think more about skin care at the moment and I'm finding it slightly overwhelming, so it's so nice to hear someone saying they use less products! I haven't worked out what my skin needs yet and am trying not to waste too much money in the process...! Thanks for the video :) x

Lol, I wish I could get away with just soap and water but as someone who has struggled with problem skin since the age of 12 (now 28) and even gone on medication for it, those days are long gone! 😂😭 La Roche-Posay and Avène for me all the way!!! 🥰

Hyaluronic acid doesn’t lock your moisture, it attracts moisture to the skin, but make sure u use a cream or oil after it to local it. If not, it will do the opposite by drawing out the moisture you have in your skin.

For your next sunscreen, I'm currently using Josie Maran SPF 47 which is a good mineral-based sunscreen but has a slight white cast, its v glowy though so I look past it lol. I also really like the one from Pai(only SPF 30) and La Roche Posay has a great SPF collection as well

Soooo late to this vid (esp since I love you SO much 🤩) but have you tried the Tarte Tingling treatment? It’s almost all lactic acid and works wonders AND it’s pourable 😁 my skin also can’t do glycolic so finding this has been a miracle

Hey Alix! Have you tried the Ren ready steady glow tonic? It’s not got glycolic in it and it’s amazing, might save you some pennies too but also it is in a pump bottle that you can recycle and save on waste 🧡 loved your video xxx

Try Maria Galland 5 cream. It's french brand for professional beauty salons, but you can get it online. I work on it and reccomend it to my clients with the most dry and sensitive skin. It never fails.
    It's rich formula tho.

Have you tried Deviant skincare's liquid exfoliant? My skin cannot handle strong exfoliation at all, and I love that this one is gentle but uses a blend of different acids. I got it right when it came out (November I think?) and I think the formula and results are pretty gosh darn great

I keep finding that Hyaluronic acid seems to make my skin feel tight? I have been layering it with a moisturiser on the top to try and lock in a bit more moisture. Any recommendations to stop that from happening anyone?

    • @SherbetLemon77
      @SherbetLemon77 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Lucy Johnson you need to apply it to damp skin as it draws from moisture so use straight after cleansing or use a mist before applying 😊
