    I had a professor in college who would go on about stories about his life and he hated that about himself but everyone liked his lectures cause it made us better as a person,I guess that was his style

      Wait I love this story. And that’s exactly what I’m talking about. Our insecurities are so often in no one’s mind but our own. Thanks for sharing.

    It's amazing how the thoughts of a person completely unrelated to you can clarify your own thoughts so much, thank you so much for that, new subscriber :P

    Great is the enemy of good. That's how this concept was worded when someone first explained it to me. I struggle with this constantly, and the result of that conflict is usually nothing at all gets done.

    Ay, great vid. Got a channel I’ve been working on myself, not this one, but yeah, it’s been a process ‘an a half so what you said really resonated with me.
    There’s this one quote from Baki I really encapsulates the feeling and it goes: “A man who works hard will never defeat a man who enjoys himself.”
    Keep it up, wish you the best.

    Great video, man. Really takes something to share experiences so personal. I think your worldview also aligns with those of the Absurdists, Camus specifically. Was that by any chance, an inspo for this?

    • @AuthorShaneSchmidt
      @AuthorShaneSchmidt  10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Thanks so much for you comment and for your great question. As far as the actual study of philosophy goes, I'm not particularly well versed. I have a limited knowledge of absurdism, and even most of that is from my days in theatre so, while I'm sure there's some carry over, I couldn't get into the details, and I couldn't begin to tell you who Camus is. But if you think my worldview is aligning with theirs I'll be sure to check them out.
      Genuinely, the inspiration from this video came from a sort of worldview I'm practicing in 2025 for my own personal work which is Make First. Fix Later. As I said in the video I have a somewhat perfectionist attitude towards artistic creation which has served me in the past, but recently I found limiting my creative output to the point of feeling frozen in decision paralysis. So, my solution was to approach my creative work from a more childish or "unserious" point of view. Which is to say, children don't think about what they create. They just do. They take action. They create without judgement. So I am too. I'm creating what sounds fun to me, without judging it. Which turned into videos with me playing video games I love, while talking into a microphone about my own experience in the hopes that it'll help someone else.
      This turned into bit of a longer answer than I expected, but I hoped that helped! Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Nice video! How did you deliver the backbreaker elbow at 1:25 without doing the full combo first? Is that a charged backfist that you threw first?

      he did 2 attacks on another npc then switched targets but cus he already did 2 attacks on that npc he only had to do 2 more for the elbow

      Thanks for sharing your wisdom! I was just coming back to say that exact thing, but you beat me to it. A few more days of messing around, and I discovered you can switch targets mid-combo which is incredibly useful for crowd control.
