It's honestly interesting to me that Magnus was closest to Perturabo and Jaghatai. Both were not particularly sociable, albeit for different reasons, and were pretty independent thinkers. Other than that they couldn't be more different, but Magnus managed to befriend both of them. Kind of makes Magnus look like one of the cooler bros.
I like that Magnus is a genuinely good guy but at the same time incredibly egocentric and self-centered, that isn't a very common combination of personality traits for a character.
There's a whole short story between Konrad/Night Lords and Magnus/Thousand Sons. The Abyssal Edge, in Sons of the Emperor and Heirs of the Emperor books. The two legions almost go to war over their different views. There's more open dialogue between those two in that book than anyone else in this part 1 video.
There's a story of a compliance where the thousand sons and night lords with both their primarchs present worked together, can't remember which anthology it's in, though. And imo, curze just couldn't be bothered with magnus at all, with magnus almost pitying curze but still trying to reach an understanding with him. That pity changed to disgust and frustration when curze dug his heels in on the difference of opinion they had. So I think it's safe to say magnus didn't have a very good relationship with curze and vice versa
I can't remember which book it is from but there is a confrontation between Konrad and Magnus during the Great Crusade. My memory is hazy, but I think the two legions were bringing about a compliance and the primarchs were disagreeing about whether or not to preserve the knowledge accumulated by the culture they are conquering. Obviously Konrad wanted to wipe everything out but Magnus wanted to save it. I remember Magnus talking down to Konrad, with Konrad being sneering and dismissive. By the end Konrad just orders an orbital bombardment or something and Magnus erects a psychic shield to try and protect the library or whatever it was. This is a great strain on Magnus, Konrad knows he can't keep it up. Konrad starts mocking/disciplining Magnus saying he is super arrogant etc. They didn't like each other for sure.
