I used leather palmed nomex flight gloves for years in the jungle, these days I tend to go with full leather riggers gloves, the funky yellow ones, I’ve also had good experiences with the Ironclad “Ranchworx” leather palmed, synthetic upper, knuckle protectors, with Kevlar panels on the inside of the index finger.
Gloves are a important survival item not discussed they go on about knives and such but good gloves are really handy l like mechanics gloves and also ninja gloves which are a type of gardening gloves there thin and help save your hands.
We don't have a jungle in Wisconsin. We do have snow so I have thick gloves for wintertime and some pairs of thinner gloves to work with in the fall but mostly just barely hand it. LOL
Nice gloves. For me, after trying several types of gloves i came back to basic leather gloves. 1 - They are heat resistant (to pick up or grab hot stuff, like "fresh" welded metal, or hot pot's etc). Most of the sintetics will melt or burn you. 2 - In my area the "outdoors" is not jungle type, it has many bushes and vines with thorns, and this grabs and rips that "breathable fabric" areas of the glove. 3 - They are fairly cheap and accessibly in most hardware stores. I am searching and yet to find some good leather gloves with knucle protection and wrist velcro strap...
