Oh gosh Becky! You moved into your lovely home while pregnant, had a complicated delivery, then designed & started a brand new garden. Girl, you've been busy! Even Josh is on the bandwagon!! The house is receiving the love it needs as time has permitted! One thing I believe is your home is "Clean enough to be healthy, dirty enough to be happy!!"

Im a professional cleaner. My tip for deep cleaning is start from the top down and from left to right. That way you never forget where you left off. Also for oven cleaning, spray your cleaner of choice, close and turn on at 200 degrees for 30 minutes -1hr. Everything will wipe right off while still warm. Great job on your methods. Just some ideas 💡

Hi Becky just a tip cleaning your oven. The oven door can be removed, just lift the oven door up whilst it is open and then you don’t have lean on the door as this can cause the door to stretch. This way you can get right up into the oven. I clean mine every 3 months I spray and leave overnight. Hope this helps. Cheers from Australia ❤

A cup of water with lemon zapped in microwave makes cleaning easier & smell nicer. I'm sure this will work in ovens as well (only bowl / pot not cup), depends on how you feel about it - basically a steam bath for the oven to soften crud. 😊

FYI for those who don't know microfiber clothes should never be washed with fabric softener and never go in the dryer, let them air dry. When you use fabric softener and put them in the dryer it takes away their properties of absorption and static that they need to dust and work at their best.

    • @saradean5523
      @saradean5523 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

true - any towel you want for cleaning should not have fabric softener because it won't absorb the water! - I hate the way microfiber towels feel in my hands - prefer cotton.

Girlfriend, easy off is your friend for those ovens. You can use it just to spot clean to. No razor blades necessary. You can also go to a craft store buy some pretty scrap book pages to put on the inside of the drawers that have the windows in them and switch them out for the holidays to add some extra cheap festive touches to your kitchen. You can also laminate those same pages so they are super easy to clean and reuse.

Hi Becky. Try using draw liners they are much easier to clean. It also preserves the wood of the drawers. Or you can try plastic bins/trays to put your items in the drawers. I totally agree with you…a clean kitchen to work in is GOLDEN! I mentally cannot use my kitchen if it’s messy, it’s too much of a distraction. Exactly, you can only do your best and your priorities are going to be diff than others. Never compare yourself to someone else every person’s situation is different.☺️ I even use handle covers on my refrigerator. I cannot stand fingerprints. Hi Becky... something that I found out about growing up (bc my dad was ever so handy) was the dishwasher filter. If your dishes aren't getting good and clean, twist the little round basket in the bottom of the DW and pull out the filter basket. Just rinse under hot water and reinsert it back in the DW. When I moved into my house this year I cleaned my dishwasher but I still had little specks that ended up on the dishes and inside the glasses/cups. I took the bottom off the DW and found a 3" chunk of broken glass down there along with a lot of crud. That got scrubbed and reattached. Still had little flecks of ick on the dishes. I cleaned out the little holes and used canned air to blow out yuck in the water fan blades. I finally have clean dishes - usually. You will usually find grease dripped down the sides and straight vinegar will clean that up in a hurry. Because you have dogs, I would also recommend pulling out and cleaning under the fridge. You can use a can of compressed air to clean the coils. While you’re at it, you could go ahead and do the same with the washer and dryer. I try to clean under my appliances every 3 to 4 months, just because I have animals.

Wow. You are amazing. Every winter, I go through my house, room by room, and declutter, clean each room completely and move on. When decluttering, I look at each item and decide 'to stay or go'. My rule is that if I have not used or needed any item for the past one or two years, it goes. The only exception to this rule is those special items that we keep because. It is a box or two of loving memories, that I will never give up. My husband has one or two of those boxes also. They have a special place where they are tucked away. I clean the outside of the boxes, around and below them, and sometimes I take a moment to look through the items, then tuck them back away. But like you, my first chore is always the kitchen. I have what I consider to be 'heavy' rooms and 'light' rooms. Heavy rooms are kitchen, laundry, mudroom and yes, the garage. Light rooms are bathrooms, bedrooms and living room. When I clean, I do a heavy room, then two light rooms, and I repeat that pattern until finished. I only work on this pattern of one heavy and two light rooms a week. When finished, I take a break till the next week. That way I can spread it out over 7 days and get some rest also. This works for me. When I am finished, I take all the items I have culled from my home and donate them to my local senior center. Twice a year they have a massive junk sale that they host with the donated items, and the funds goes to the senior center. As I am now a senior also, I understand the need for senior help. So, this way I am helping out other seniors 👵 and myself also. 🧓 Keep it up Becky. You inspire me.

I always used the self clean on my oven until recently, I was told that they get so hot that it causes the computer boards in them to go out, so I’ve been doing it the old way, like you just did 🥰 your an inspiration, thank you

I've made sure to purchase an oven with a steam cleaning cycle! It loosens up the junk without putting the electronics at risk ❤️

Gosh I am pregnant with baby boy number 4 and definitely hitting that 3rd trimester nesting mode and constantly wanting to be cleaning but it is definitely hard with three boys 😂love these videos of yours though! You have truly motivated me to starting cooking more meals out of my comfort zone and pushing myself in the culinary realm more. Your videos have definitely been on all the time in my house since I found you a few months back! Thanks for all the work you put into these videos it is greatly appreciated by many!

My winter plan for this year is to make seed tape! I am planning 2 raised beds for medicinal plants, and many of the seeds for my future beds are very tiny. I work 2 jobs, so I don't have a lot of time to do anything outside of work, but I am going to make a point of making my seed tape this winter!

Buy Yourself an oven liner for each of your ovens, any spills can just be washed off then cried and put back, I swear by them !!💐

@@AcreHomestead Just make sure to read the instruction manual for your oven(s) before using a liner. I can’t use a liner with my oven.

You've inspired me to do a lot of things. Make breakfast burritos for the freezer, freezing veggies so they don't go to waste, deep clean my kitchen and wanting to get more organized. I have a hard time getting around and am finding ways to do things within my limitations. You're a great inspiration.

I feel the same as you. I have been inspired by so many things I've seen becky do on her channel. I've tried so many of her recipes, done freezer meals, organized my freezer with her bag/box idea, breakfast burritos for the freezer, freeze chopped up onions for cooking...the list goes on and on!!! I love her!!!

Oh my goodness! The kitchen looks fantastic! I clean my oven every 4 months , but I have to say it’s not my favorite thing to do. I’ve been doing the quarterly purge in my kitchen and gotten rid of a lot of things I just don’t use and donate them , so someone else can make use of them. It’s really freeing. Thanks for taking us along on a cleaning day. It was fun😊

I would love to have your island. Having all your baking supplies organized like this would be heaven! I just did a clean out of my spice cabinet, upstairs pantry, and refrigerator before Thanksgiving. I need to do the cabinet under the sink next and then just do a general clean out and get rid of some of my other cabinets too
