For me, as someone following in your footsteps, this video was the most impactful.
I loved watching every single upload. You were one of the few people who I'd drop everything for just to watch a new video.
I'm grateful for everything you have done to inspire us all and thankful for this huge collection of videos you left behind. I will watch from a different perspective now, but one of wonder and inspiration nonetheless.
Wherever you are now, I'm sure you've got clear skies 💔.

I really enjoyed listening to your story Alyn. There are quite a few similarities to mine these past years. I'm so pleased you've been recognised by so many people for your work . .it's great that you have raised the profile of nightscape photography around the world and given so many people enormous joy in the process. All the very best for the future mate .. I'll be following the journey.

Having been incredibly fortunate to have attended one of Alyn’s workshops in 2019, I can say that Alyn is a) a great teacher, b) very generous with helping others learn good photographic information, c) very quietly but immensely enthusiastic about his profession, and d)I found him to be very approachable to just chat with too.

Great video Alyn. I know theres a ton of people trying to find a way to quit their jobs to pursue something they're passionate about, especially post COVID. This was definitely an inspiring video. You see all these vloggers out here with such high enthusiastic over the top energy, and not all of us are built that way. You've shown that you're one of those people that can still do it even as someone who comes off as very chill and matter of fact, and I can appreciate that and look up to that. An inspiring and heartwarming video Alyn. I haven't had a TV for over 30 years but who needs one when you're on TH-cam. It was you who first inspired me to try night photography and now friends think I'm mad being out half the night taking pictures. That has been helped tremendously by your reccommendation of the MSM and accessories. I wish you very much success for the future. A big thankyou from the dark skies of Cornwall.

I remember the first time seeing animations of our Solar system, showing how the planets orbit the sun, why we have seasons and a day and night cycle. This was in back in 2nd grade, and I'm HOOKED on anything Astro since then.
Just recently started to photograph the night sky, it's a somewhat humbling experience seeing the milky way in a dark area. Always puts me in my place and makes sure that I'm always nice to people.
Once you get interested into anything astro, there is no going back. Probably the most exciting thing for me.
Glad you've found your way! Stay Safe ❤️

Yet spent my youth at college doing art and a diploma in music production. Lost my way partying drink and drugs and ended up in a career I don't like. Now discovered photography. I wanna push myself in that direction now. I love it. It feels like I'm forever learning and I love that. In Brecon the end of this week. Maybe the wrong time for astro. But I'll have my camera out all the same. Thank you dude

    1. Find something you are passionate about and if you can make that your living you will never work a day in your life and

Brilliant Alyn - very honest, inspiring and beautiful. Now that the current situation is lifting, I hope to be back in touch soon to re book that private tutorial we spoke about some 18 months ago. Love your work and your commitment to being true to yourself.

Thanks for sharing your story! It's refreshing to hear someone tell their candid story and it very much resonates with me at the moment. I've come to similar realizations working as a software developer these past few years and have just started making strides towards building up my photography career.

It's not always easy to take charge of your self when you spiral out of control. Good for you getting on track and finding your passion.

Such a great journey so far Alyn, takes real courage to jump from the safe path of steady job and income to follow your passion. I really appreciate you sharing this. Peter Zelinka did a similar video a while back, just amazing to hear your perspectives and how you found your way to where you are now.

I'm one of those who found you during the pandemic. I work way too much to enjoy night skies as much as I want unfortunately so I live vicariously through your videos and AstroBackyard and Peter Zelinka.. I am going to try my first ever star trails shot this weekend and I wrote down so many tips from your videos. I forgot to get a lens warmer though so we'll see how it goes.

Your the one who had me start astrophotography, and ur vlogs give me the confidence that I can pull off stuff like you do. Result, I am taking extremely good pictures of Andromeda, milky way, and even doing some meteor shower timelapses.
Man ur an inspiration, thanks Alyn 😃
