    Rose, my family's favorite is Apple Pie with Streusel Topping! I also cook my filling first to avoid having my apple juices ooze out. Since I am in the US, I have access to Baker's Thickener (from King Arthur Flour). Thank you for sharing your time tested recipes! I have been baking for quite some years and I admire your expertise and generosity! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

    Hi Chef Rose, Thank you so much for sharing your recipe...I have a few questions: 1. may I know the size of your pan? is it a 9" diameter? 2. If I will use aluminum foil for baking, may I know the recommended baking time?

    Chef, would the texture/flavor of the crust be greatly affected if I use margarine (Dari Creme)? Like, if that's what I have on hand and I'm only making it for myself. I've tried the recipe without changes and loved it, but I'm curious if I can use that margarine for non-special occasions

      Crust will be less flaky with margarine.

    Hi chef thank you for the recipe!, what type of apple should I use chef? Fuji, green or red apples? Thank you again!🙂

    • @ChefRoseofCaroandMarieCebu
      @ChefRoseofCaroandMarieCebu  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I used Fuji because it was what was available. If you have access to green Granny Smith Apples, then it is best because it is crunchy and firm however it is not as sweet as Fuji. Thanks for watching!
