Just whenever you want to craft something, take the time to go to poedb and check what the mod tags are you are looking for, and which mods share those tags. You will learn it faster than you expect. :)

Worth mentioning that the fire items delve encounters only (mostly?) spawn in the flame caverns biome. I went a different route with this - I noticed there're armour nodes taken on the tree, likely incidentally for the +1% max res, but I wanted to take advantage of them, so I'm wearing Titan Greaves, Titan Gauntlets, a Royal Burgonet, and an Astral Plate. Getting the colours on the Astral was actually really easy because you can spam the commonly found "turn two random sockets blue and green" harvest craft to paint over the whole item, and the RGB one if you go too far and lose your inspiration link. I have 18k armour with my shittily-rolled granite up. The Astral, assuming you have maybe one good ring, or some nice two-tones or something, makes capping res ridiculously easy. I'm 120/80/80 without one of my rings on, and the only res craft I have is a chaos hybrid one on an amethyst ring, putting me at +10% chaos res I think. I don't even have the 30% ascendancy, partly because I only just got my last uber trial, but also because I just don't need it. It'd give me 30% damage, but so would the minion node straight down, which would also give me attack speed (when I get thread of hope). I'll try out the regen node perhaps, but I've got flame dash, smoke mine, and boner offering (no trigger wand yet) all on blood magic, so mana is never an issue. SSF bee tee double-you.
@zizaran is it a good idea to take avatar of fire for this build, in regards to the explode chest and the phys damage from the wand (bad for phys reflect maps)?
He kinda did though. 1) Get high ilvl Imbued Wand 2) Spam Essences or Harvest (reroll with caster/attack/fire modifiers) until you get a good flat fire dmg roll + flat fire to spells/+1 to fire gems/ inc. fire dmg/ flat lightning/ whatever 3) Slap the trigger craft on it (or even try to multimod it)

I am assuming you have crafted trigger a socket spell, increased fire damage, and chance to ignite on this wand. Looking through the craft bench, there is an unveiled mod of both increased fire damage and chance to ignite combined so does this count as one craft and you can add on another prefix/ suffix? Or does it count as 2 already because they are separate entities?
@Zizaran How does this build benefit from Hypothermia and how is that related to Life rolls on the helm? The first and last parts of that sentence seemed to be completely unrelated to each other.
Hypothermia was in there because it was the highest damage you could get with a support without reserving too much mana with the VD spellslinger. With the reduced mana reservation mod on the helmet he can now use a support which makes reservation higher but also buffs damage more than hypothermia.
To anyone trying to craft the explody chest, the str/dex base can roll a phys suffix mod Idk if it's true of other based, but stick to an int base to be safe Technically you can still slam explode IF your suffixes are full

They can be a pain to get, however they are beyond epic for any VD, DD, RF and any max Dodge build. I also use them on any other toon for extra def if I can fit them in anyway possible (usually unset rings). 1. They are immune to ele and chaos dmg 2. They have a ton of health for big booms 3. They add 20% Dodge 4. They add a flat % of total damage reduction above any armor/ele/chaos resist cap If you or anyone try them out give me a shout curious if I am just bias PS they are found either in a Breach or with a Breach map
I'm playing in trade league so getting a high enough ilvl isn't hard, the hard part is actually getting the correct influence. Funny thing is, I think it will be easier for me as a newer player to get a crusader influence on it by farming t4 seeds rather than hoping a drop or an exalted orb.
Hi sorry for asking a question on the wrong video, but I watched the previous video on VD Spellslinger and saw your build and noticed there's a big ring of fire damage passives that you didn't pick up, does fire damage on passives not stack with VD? It's where Heart of Fire and err Breath of Flames (I think it's called) passives are, picking these seems like a no brainer but maybe I just don't understand the passives well enough.
KNEW I FORGOT SOMETHING - i used caster mods and got lucky with the spell damage + life, fire damage is better than spell - However if you have spell damage and life and full suffixes and none of them are fire, then the only last prefixes that can be fire is extra as chaos or +1 gems so u do augment fire then "remove fire add fire" until u get +1 fire gems

In a 5 link setup, you want to have 2 green, 2 blue, and 1 red. 2 green being VD and DD, 2 blue being Spellslinger and Spell Cascade, and the 1 red being Inspiration, to make use of that gem in your frenzy link setup
Hey Ziz, I was wondering if generic added damage to attacks/wands affects the spellslinger damage? I tried putting in an abyss jewel with a bunch of added damage to attacks/wands and I didn't see any increase in my tooltip.
I though % to fire damage or any added damage on Armour didn't affect spellslinger because spellslinger only takes damage from your wand? Please help clarify as it will change my build.
% increases and flat damage to spells will increase damage regardless of where they are from, even for spellslinger. Flat damage to attacks, however, only works on your wand due to spellslinger only adding on the base damage of your wand to your spells.
Hi guys, I am playing facebreakers and with the circles of guilt and HoP nerfs I think crafting two steel rings is better. How would I go about making a crit steel ring?

How does the helm enchant not matter? You can get a good base with +40 percent VD / DD Damage, or VD consumes 1 extra corpse... Just scour and harvest craft and enjoy your extra dam... Edit: I got mine for like 7c
Actually you can deal with phys reflect. You just need to have a wand with no phys damage increases, just tha base ~50 phys damage. And you have to drop wave of conviction in maps with phys reflect. For HC its maybe risky anyway, but in SC its OK. It doesnt hurt much. Bone offering helps a lot with that little phys reflect portion that you get.
If you unveil it once, keep that weapon around and put Aisling into research. With her bench you remove a craft and add an unveil. The unveil doesn't change so you can unveil the same craft from the same item.

If it is one craft on the crafting bench combined, then it only counts as one

Just try to hit +1 all fire skill gem and high spell damage or fire damage

What about picking some es recovery shield since this build already has insane damage?
Hrimnor's Resolve Samite Helmet is really good for this build.

The wand craft doesnt trigger that often compared to Spellslinger so its probably just for the exposure.

Spellslinger works on wands damage so generic added damage works if its on a wand not jewels or rings etc
Spellslinger only converts the local damage on your wand

Pretty sure the reason is cause you can just roll a better wand that doesn't adds lightning damage or have higher fire damage than other types.

Tried that trigger craft trick 2x now and it simply doesn't work.
The easy way to craft your endgame gear and save yourself from growing grey hair: just buy it.
That's one way. Another easy way is to learn how to craft.

Thats the harvest augment you get it now and again as a t1 craft
do 500 maps and hope that you see the phys augment

then you can craft this mod on your wand
