I didnt even know you could reset zones with control click on Zone entrances, so i waited 10 minutes at the entrance to dried lake to farm normal mode lol
Feeling like a new player in POE is the whole reason, IMO, that the game is so cativating. I love going in a new league with my 3k hours and doing something I have never done before.

If you run the corrupted rare Atlas notable that randomises everything, it doesn't let you adjust the lantern... pair that with the Maven withness notable for MORE bosses too... it's a gamble every map... idk why, but I find the random part most enjoyable... why play safe when you can accidentally nuke the server with excessive spawns and a bad build 🤣
3.7k hours, the crafting i know is get a fractured item, essence spam, gamba with orb of annulment and benchcraft, or sometime also uses eldrich annul, too lazy to go and learn meta crafting and browse craftofexile whole day. I am still playing in normal league since settlers 2.0, its not a new league but resets and i hate levelling and i just cant get used to power siphon locus mine, i just stop playing reset and went back to regular league. Faustus is the GOAT, if there is not much stock and super overpriced scarab, i just have to list it at the normal bulk price, and wait for a hour or so, i got my material to continue farming (mostly just grinding for fun, main attention is still on youtube since anymore upgrade to my build is all mirror gear)

The funny thing is that the more of SC I play the more of a "hardcore" mindset player I become. I get frustrated if during my farming sessions I die more than once per map and I put much effort into deffensives of my characters. After 3k hours zooming through maps "6 portals defensive" is sadly no longer for me.
@@bananedc1 I feel like it is the opposite, people play 6 portal builds cause dying almost does not matter, in poe 2 we prob gonna have to almost play like HC mentality cause imagine that every time you died you lost your map/boss, that's probably more annoying then losing a little of exp (at least early on, late 90s the xp was actually significant, but people would just wait to do dangerous stuff right after they leveled so...)

That achievement is absolutely bullshit tho. I would bet my left nut that from the 1% of players that have it only 1% actually know the lore. All the others are achievement hunters who just used a tool that guided them through which characters text options to skip through next. There are so many cases where talking to people in the wrong order (even if they are right next to each other!) that can literally brick the achievement (because the wrong order can skip dialog options that are unrecoverable) that if someone would try to get it just by genuinelyactually trying to listening to all the lore would not be able to get it. (Proof: I tried. I failed. I rerolled and used the tool to skip to succeed.)
I won’t ever have the achievement, but I’ve recently started watching lore videos about it. The lore is really cool, but fuck getting the achievement lol
@@genghischron4084 there are 2 achievements "No stone unturned" which is what you are referring to, is just to listen to all environmental lore. Since the OP was talking about "people who know the lore" and "the story" I was assuming he was referencing the achievement "All Ears" which requires you to listen to all optional NPC dialogs.
1 game comes to mind after over 1000 hours of not fully comprehending a game. Eve online. 2008- ish... you either were carried mentally by others to the island of limited comprehension where you no longer drowned... everybody else sinks to the depths to never return.
POE is a bottomless pit of knowledge. Not everyone has the drive to constantly learn something new when they play. I absolutely love the depths in PoE systems, rewarding curiosity and perseverance.
Hey Canadian here, yes the housing market is that bad. I make 100k/yr before over time and live alone and can in no way shape or form afford a house as of today in the region I live in. Or rather I could probably afford one while going from paycheck to paycheck on a low 6 figure salary. Which sounds and is ridiculous.
@satibel if you want a house, yeah. If dude had a wife making 60k or something he probably would be able to afford one, and have a happier life in general. Even when women didn't work it wasn't single dudes buying homes. Houses meant for families.
26:45 Currency, map and fragment stash tabs are extremely important to have. And for starter player you can also convert/upgrade your 4 basic stash tab you start with to premium stash tab with what 10 or 5 point pretty cheap and pretty important thing to do if you like to do any trading

You realize how crazy is poe content when you try to bring someone into the game. After slowly learning all the mechanic kinda feels easy to understand, but when you have to explain everything all at once DAMN THAT'S SO MANY STUFF AHHHH

Back in the day we had cheat code magazines you shared with your gaming buddies 😅. Some kid would bring a print out from their dad’s office computer and you would hand write a copy lol.
I only started feeling like I knew what I was doing in almost every potion of the game after around 5k hours. Best game ever made hands down nothing comes close.
I have just under 11,000 hrs in POE and still have league starts where i cant seem to get my build going for maps so ill just quit and wait for the next one lmao. I didnt get my first 100 till crucible league and i started in perandus, hitting 100 was one of my ultimate goals along with getting a natty HH drop.
2.300 k hrs started in TOTA...still puzzled over some of the crafting and how to farm stuff properly and what not...i still fell kinda like a noob for sure
Summoner Witch (Ele/ Necro) and Templar (Inquis/ Totem Heiro).... that's my limit. I tried flicker once... had to skip the next 3 leagues due to persistent motion sickness 😂 Tried Power Siphon totems in the new Necro Settlers event league... and it's amazing so far, almost as fun as EB CoC Inquisitor, and just as unkillable for the most part. I can't wait for PoE2... idk if summons or slams for my first impression... can't fkn wait to give it a go!

The Dominions series is the only other game I've played where 1000 hours is still well within the "new player" territory. Not sure which between that and PoE is more complicated though.
About the Burial Chamber boss, does the soul eater run out while in her presence or u can stay near the arena entrance? I sometimes had bad memories fighting her on a league start corrupted map
The game that takes at least 2 separate applications and 3 websites just to play. Kind of incredible it has any player base, considering gamers can't read.
Not sure why POE1 is so fascinating. If a new season starts it makes me want to try it out. POE2 isnt bad at all, but i dont have the same smile on my face - if i login at all. Its still better than d4 etc.
8700+ hours and i am still learning how to craft and farm atlas more efficiently... it's a unsolvable puzzle because we don't have all the puzzle pieces... we have to 3D craft them in our deep dark dungeon.
I feel like there were two important decisions in my life, that have made me a better person overall. First was quitting WoW in 2011 and second is quitting PoE in 2022.

For cats and cables, you can just give a soft pssst, they will usually look at you and you can tilt your head, that's usually enough to stop my boy.

Not sure why POE1 is so fascinating. If a new season starts it makes me want to try it out. POE2 isnt bad at all, but i dont have the same smile on my face - if i login at all. Its still better than d4 etc.

8700+ hours and i am still learning how to craft and farm atlas more efficiently... it's a unsolvable puzzle because we don't have all the puzzle pieces... we have to 3D craft them in our deep dark dungeon.
1300 hours here. only been to t16 maps with one character. and still feel like im not sure what is happening alot of the time

Quake Live/Quake III is another game where you feel new after 1000 hours... Granted that you play against people, of course.
I feel like there were two important decisions in my life, that have made me a better person overall. First was quitting WoW in 2011 and second is quitting PoE in 2022.
Its 3 days before PoE2 and I still pretty much feel like a brand new player... I have microtransactions from the closed beta...
