- I'm sharing how to make a fitted one-piece yoga pants waistband today. This is an easy solution if you have a defined waistline that's significantly smaller than you tummy/high hip. Plus, see how to maintain the Big Rotary Cutting Mat Surface using the Big Mat Scrapper that comes with it!

This is great. I usually do a taper on the side seams. But I like the idea of doing it at the back.
Thanks so much! and thanks for watching!

Wow. Thanks. I never understood how a shaped waistband ma de for a better fit. Now it’s perfectly clear.
:) Happy to help!
Another helpful tutorial! I'm going to replace the tie in my yoga pants with elastic. When you drink as much water as I do throughout the day, it's all about elastic. 😂😂 Love your vlogs! Thanks so much 💕
Thank you!
Simple and clear. Thank you. I’ll be doing this from now on.

I’m starting the easy fit yoga pants. I’m not great at making adjustments to new at it. My question is my legs are bigger at thigh but skinny from knee down. I’m not sure how to adjust properly clueless actually 🙁can you help me when you get a chance?! Please😊
Yay, you're making yoga pants!! The easiest thing to do is to make sure you have enough room in the upper thighs by measuring across the pattern a few inches below the crotch and then compare it to your thigh measurement. Then when you sew the legs together, try them on inside out. Pin out the excess ease out of the leg from the hem up to where you need to take it in. Trim off the excess and use the scraps to transfer this adjustment to your paper pattern. Hope this helps!
@@JSternDesigns Jennifer thank you!! How simple and yet I make everything so hard for myself! I have all the videos to watch in order. I’m a visual person. I can’t thank you enough. You’re the bestXX00.
Wouldn’t you need to add the seam allowance to get a 4 inch band?
You can add the seam allowances... But if you're sewing on your serger, the seam allowance are 1/4"... and the knit fabric will likely stretch that much to compensate for the loss of the allowances. Thanks for watching
