Lovely! I can't name my favorite SP music since i love everything. But it's amazing to watch such a passion playing a wonderful Smashing pumpkins b-side! Great tone! Great job! You nailed it man!
It's pretty crazy to think that this song wasn't "good enough" to be on Siamese Dream! I actually had this song from the Today CD single even before Pieces Iscariot came out.
Great sound and playing! This is the one Pumpkins song that goes to eleven 🤘 You actually played it in a more difficult way than Billy does! For example the E major at 2:14 is just two notes, open E and 11th fret on the A and it would sound huge with your tone 👍
Pretty sure it floats around f#maj/D#min pent but I could be completely wrong so just listen and play along aha. Figuring out the solo was mostly trial and error and this is as close as I got *EDIT* Finally got to playing around with it and found it's in G#min pent so disregard what I said earlier
@@bukel93 are you saying you fiddadle around around g minor pentatonic you can come up with a solo like this? Asking to get a better understanding of soloing.
The notes in the solo (from around 02:40 - 02:50) are from the in the G minor pentatonic scale. I guess theoretically if you mess around with those notes for long enough you could make a solo such as this but it takes a lot of finesse which comes from years of practise. It's also hard to say if Billy has done this consciously or not, as you practise more and more you will start matching notes of scales to rhythm parts just from muscle memory alone. Billy's playing tends more toward "feel" rather than the "technical" side, to me at least. Even though he shreds like a motherfucker I cannot imagine much thought goes into his playing but rather what he feels at the moment. If you watch vids of Smashing pumpkins playing live (especially around 1990-1996) he will often go off script and improvise solos instead of playing what is on the recording. Not sure if I answered your question but all that really matters is to practise til your fingers bleed, and learn about relative major and minor pentatonic scales if you want to play like Billy Corgan@@DFGHOUSE
All parts are played through the dirty channel on the amp with leads using a TC electronic Cinders overdrive pedal for a treble boost and a boss RV-5 for some faint reverb on the solo after the middle bridge
super underrated album
Are you insane? It's widely regarded as one of the best b-side albums of all time.

Well done dude! This is such an amazing sign and you did a great job covering it!
That really is quite good.
Fantastic! One of my favorites from Pisces Iscariot... the B-sides album that's better than most bands A-sides.
Nice! Good job, and with the Lace sensors.
