Even when planning to just take your time in the game the tips of knowing what to look for on the various samples is super helpful.
11:28 No, it's 3 on suicide, 5 on impossible and 6 on helldive difficulty. 14:32 Just do this strat in Blitz missions. You get the same amount in 15 minutes and don't even have to complete the objective, if you don't want to. But there are rare samples in every bug nest, so might aswell destroy them. Also, the maps in Blitz missions are way way smaller, making it even faster.

What exactly are Blitz missions? I have been playing mainly against Robots not Bugs so idk what that is.
@@ChronosPlayz They literally are called "Blitz: Search and Destroy". They exist for both robots (same star symbol as erradicate missions) and terminids (same claw symbol as erradicate missions) at difficulty 3 and up.
Another good farm that wasn’t mentioned if you want to remove the difficulty and stress is to play any trivial difficulty mission with a grassland (including the red grass)/desert land biomes as the have the most containers for loot. This missions can take 10 or less minutes depending on routine and is a good mixed bag of super credits, medals and gold currency and you can collect 15 green samples almost every match. When you land; land at the outter edge and just make a full circle to find the drop pods with the gold beacons or buildings with shipment containers. You can run it solo but it’s better for 2 players due to there are bunkers that need 2 people. It is possible to get 15 medals from a single trivial mission and is the best currency farm.
For blitz missions I would only suggest 1 change, have 1 or if possible 2 teammates equipping the recoiless rifle (rocket launcher) and shoot down drop ships... Is way faster to finish... As long as all teammates have both mortars is almost impossible to fails this, so the railgun is kinda useless... If anything choose the orbital laser instead...
But in all honesty, I'm lvl 50 with all but a few minor items from the warbonds (yeah both regular and premium) and didn't do any "farming" just played the game and lvl'd up organically... Completing operations while clearing all or most of the maps on most missions is the fastest and most efficient way to get everything, if you cap anything be it medals, shames or XP B4 other currencies you won't get anything beyond that cap rendering gains useless... Remember that there's more content coming (warbonds, stratagems, etc), and is likely those will require the same currencies so maxing those out is not a bad idea... All that being said, if you're only in need of one type of currency, let's say XP only, then sure a focused method of farming is the way to go... For most folks mid game tho, clearing maps and completing operations is the way to go...
And I'll add this, whenever the host forgos the next mission in an operation, to skip to the next likely "farming" missions, I just leave the lobby.. the bonus for getting an operation done is enough to offset farming just the 1st of each operation.. (devs probably knew this hence giving bonuses for proper completion)
And don't get me wrong, gamers will game, and is fine, play however you like but if depends on me will be doing all alone.. (and will block your sorry ass for good measure, or if I don't like your gamertag lol)
Unfathomably based, never felt the need to farm a specific mission as clearing the map is an efficient and nicely balanced grind
I also love short missions as a refresher after 40mins of map clearing
That said, i kinda hate the short rescue mission, ruins the entire bot experience for me at higher difficulty while being “too easy” at anything below 5 id love to contribute to the war effort but cant beat that one damn mission
@@Stiftoad yeah agree... plus bots are quite badly balanced, specially the drop ship rates... at higher difficulties seems exponential not linear, and while there are a lot of defensive stratagems in the game, most primary/secondary guns are just not viable to properly fight bots...
not impossible, we've cleared that "impossible" defense mission in helldive (9), but not particularly fun...
@@Canis.Lupus.Arctos if you can get an organised group of 4 im sure its quite viable especially with the strat of 3 divers causing a ruckus at the edge of the map while one sneaks in and rescues civilians but yeah the sheer amount of bots, the lack of effective medium armor penetration on guns, the small weakpoints and the fact theres like 5 different bots that can one shot you is just very oppressive
It almost feels like bots were balanced around stealth but stealth isnt properly integrated or encouraged as much as it should
@@Stiftoad stealth is properly implemented, but w/ those numbers there's literally no place to go, much less sneak your arse off...lol don't know if you have experienced this, but in some missions bots will spawn on top of you, no drop from shuttle, just instantly appear where you're standing (prone in my case).. is bat shit crazy... XD
One tip i havent seen mentioned, is if you're on a bot controlled world [ The creek ] and the scrambled stratogems effect is going on. When you first deploy you can accidentally drop a cluster on your group instead of say your rail gun. But when you call it in, look at your divers hand and you can see the color of the stratogem, red bad, blue good. If its red just re input the code and try again. It kinda sucks trying to see this during a crazy firefight, but just at mission start when its quiet and everyones calling in their stuff, taking an extra second means you dont waste one of you orbital laser beams.
The HUD also shows you which Stratagem you have in your hand in the upper left area of the screen.

You should consider bringing at least one scout armor for sample farming. If you move your cursor over the map in game places of interest can show up as you move it around. If you ping the map you can see the enemies hanging around the points of interest as well. If you find a super sample rock look at the minimap and learn what the rock looks like on the map. You can see them on the minimap by zooming in on suspects then mousing over to see if it's a point of interest the super samples will always be a point. Radar perk and nuclear radar ship upgrades on the scout can let you ping several points often times.

Apparently armor with the Scout Passive will show you hidden Points of Interest on the map while you are mousing over it... a PoI will change your curser from coordinates to "Minor Point of Interest"
That will happen with any armor set
Really cool tips and methods. Personally id rather just play at my own pace, things will unlock as i go. Because the more i focus on getting max level, and unlocking everything instead of playing the game at my own pace, the more i start to question "Why am i even playing this?" Because once you've unlocked everything....what is there to strive for until the next content patch? I feel its better to just not rush things.
If you do a Blitz: search and destroy mission, I highly recommend using the 120 Mike and 380 Mike either with one teammate using both or 2 using 1 of each. The reason for this is on higher difficulties you'll regularly find massive bug nests with close to 9 or more nests and throwing both orbital strikes together has completely cleared out one of those nests on its own with maybe 1 or rarely if ever 2 holes to do clean up. It prevents bug breaches you commit only 1 person to taking down the entire thing, and they are very easy to see their location from orbit... almost every time. But in the 1st couple of minutes, you can contribute nearly half the progress with only 2 strategies and maybe a grenade or 2. Do it fast enough and you can get it back off cooldown before the end of the mission and use them to wipe out a massive group of bugs in case a teammate has had some bad luck with constant bug breaches and now there is 100 bugs crawling on the extraction zone.
One thing my friends and I like to do during the automaton defense missions is if you get a tower to spawn. Having people perched up there comfortably while whoever wants to run around downstairs is hilarious and also neat if things go awry and you want someone to survive for extra xp 😂 To do this, kill each other via strategems/gun fire and then whoever calls the reinforcement, do it as close to the tower as possible (don't throw directly at the tower because it'll just bounce off). Having the mortars clustered at the back of the tower is also great since it takes forever for enemies to get there especially if you have ems. Also whoever wants to do tower duty should be wearing any armor that's good against explosions so you won't just get one shot by rockets and to also survive fall damage when inevitably getting down.
Bruh... and this is why we are hurting on the Major order.... if they don't complete the operation then its a loss for the campaign

@@ReverendLeRoux while I agree spamming a single type of mission is bad, the "..you don't get anything past lvl20.." is just not true.. for one you get XP, lvl cap is 50, so from 20 you have ways to go still... Also, sample, while @ 20 you unlock the _ability_ to "buy" all stratagems, you're unlikely to possess the requisition credits necessary for all them (cap @ 50k), not to mention the samples which are a huge bottle neck, thus upgrading modules is likely second to last to hit max, also there's medals, while arguably many warbond rewards don't affect gameplay at all, you're required a huge amount of those to unlock everything, I don't recall if there's a cap, but remember more warbonds are coming to the game (in fact, apparently, more of everything seems to be coming)

@@duskshredder8683they (the devs) could create missions where stealth is encouraged. Like rescue missions or assassin missions where you have a very short window to dispatch a VIP and if you alert he takes off. However, as of now, I agree with you it does not fit.
helldivers is very big on the explosions and booms of the game, stealth just doesnt really fit 😅

Then they need to fix the citizen extract missions, because those are the least fun I've had in a game in recent memory. I am not spending my free time having a dismal time because something is not balanced properly.
@Daergarz See, I can relate to this (unlike the other selfish guy). This mission seems like it was way too difficult, even on challenging difficulty. I think for the automatons, everyone needs to be higher level and get a feel for the game by doing the bugs first.

So, everybody plays games out of selfish reasons. For having fun themselves. It's the definition of being selfish. If it's fun for you to do some community goals, more power to you. But a lot of people just don't care, which is totally fine. I like helping people and do so constantly though. I'm level 50 myself and have unlocked everything, so for me it's fun just helping people at this point. But I won't run missions I hate for some community goal that doesn't have any meaningful rewards whatsoever. At a certain point, people won't care about credits anymore. 12500 is an utter joke. Enjoyment differs from person to person. And for some people, it is indeed enjoyment to play the most efficient way to reach their goals, whatever they might be. I guess you've never played Helldivers 1, so let me tell you: Don't lose your head about reaching any community goals. Just do what is fun for you.
You can solo stealth the missions like launch the ICBM, Destory Nest/Factories. But there is no way to solo the rescue civilian missions, you need a full squad, but multiple times I’ve had teammates on public either time out or randomly disappear from the match, which causes me to fail a campaign.
If the citizen evac wasn’t such a cancer hellhole on helldive difficulty I’d be more encouraged to actually do that mission. But literally after the first 4 mins you get so many god damn tanks, hulks and rocket berserkers dropping on you every 30secs you literally just get swamped

Also doesn’t help when teammates get timed out by the server or randomly disappear because of a bug leaving you alone with no way to make a comeback
I've been reading on Discord and Reddit that if you don't complete the full group of missions you have a negative impact on the defence or liberation campaign. Not sure if anyone has managed to confirm this absolutely? I've encountered a lot of players just running endless short missions which means they don't have a clue when playing the full objective based missions. I suspect they will eventually put something in place to stop people doing this...hopefully anyway. Its making the current matchmaking experience a bit crap at times.
As long as there aren't any worthwhile rewards for general orders (12.500 credits, seriously??? you can farm that in 10 mins), people will just do whatever they want and nets them the most rewards. Why would I do missions I hate to come closer to a community goal that doesn't benefit me at all? Give me 200 medals or 1000 super credits and I maybe, just maybe, will consider doing whole operations with missions I hate. But for this to happen, they need to remove the cap on medals. Also, you can't negatively impact the war effort, no matter what you do.
@TheLuggi84 this guy replied to me as well and sounds like an extremely selfish person. "Why should I partake in helping the community if I get nothing from it." It's a community goal, man. We all complete the missions and push the enemy back.

This has always been a weird take.
Why would you click on a video talking about expediting the progression…and then whine about people wanting to expedite the progression? How does this affect you other than the vast majority of the player base getting to level 50 before you?
Well before the big PATCH 01.000.100, this was super easy. You could almost solo this or easily duo this.
They changed the map so the backside doesn’t have as much cover. Line sight is better for the enemy and the can move up that rear flank. Besides them doubling the spawn rate and doubling the number killed to finite mission.
Yes grinding these can still be done, but it’s much much harder. Lower level players will need two at least 20 above players. Mix of motars, emp motors, and autocannons are useful. But orbital lasers. Eagle strikes will be needed. You mortar positions will be over run or run out of ammo. With the longer cool down return timers for sentries it will be chaos until the hard back online. Well placed mines or Teslaicon A/ARC-3 Tesla Tower can be good. HMG emplacement can be useful keeping the medium spawn from taking the top. Though it will run out of ammo.
Once the too is overrun you have to use strikes to clear the top while spawning at a side or tower talk point waiting for cool downs to reset. Pure chaos much harder. To point many will have to drop to a lower difficulty. Once mission is beat and if you can clear the spawn. Yes you can get up to ten green samples. If you have time and don’t board the shuttle.
It’s possible yet not as easas it was. Power up Helldivers!

Wow! really appreciated this. Kinda scary to even think of for me. Hopefully I can work up to it. One thing I never hear anyone talk about is destroying bot ships with the grenade launcher. If they are close enough and you can see them in time, you can destroy the ship and all bots while they drop with 1 or 2 grenades. I haven't tried it on levels past challgening though.

I would go for at least one Recoilless Rifle.
You can destroy the dropships engines in one shot, so if you have one or two of these support weapons in your team, you can shoot down all ships before they unload their troops. Just use the team reload for rapid fire and you can decimate the enemy without them even touching the ground. The mortars can mop up the survivers.
Ah, I see, here are the easy steps:
1. Already have all the good shit unlocked and be high level
2. Have a team of 4 competent players who know what they're doing and will coordinate with you
3. Be able to do the highest difficulty
4. Just play the game
That should save a lot of people about 15 minutes.
Have you tried on 7 the automaton defend mission (scientists) which says 40mins but is 15min? seems like PoI spawn around the main mission like crazy...

In my experience when I spam E to pick up samples it will bug them and make me unable to pick them up
I don't know if this is what causes that exactly but I try to press E once or slowly so it doesn't bug
We sample farmed automatons earlier 20 plus rare and greens plus 6 purples all we did was run on a 15 min mission didn't even worry about the main objective called in the drop ship and left we all ran light armor and personal bubble shields with orb lasers and eagle bombs to clear camps fast and we each ran a rail gun but we did like three of these in 40 mins

Unrelated comment. The diving mechanic is a bit annoying sometimes. What can I change to keep them from diving forward if I’m clearly pushing the stick to the left, right or back???
If you're mortar farming, just remember when you're done and want to quickplay start at level 5

For cool titles. You will do it naturally anyway. No need to xp after level 20t, but it will happen one way or another.
No real reason, but you get xp no matter what you do while farming medals and samples.
Impossible gives 5 super samples. Not 3.

Also, at first this kinda comes across as promoting eradication farming, which any patriot knows is ONE OF THE MOST UN-democratic things you can do: you may as well be an Automaton if you do it.

No your strategems are tied to your ship. Each player gets their own, no sharing.
@@AsapMilk you are wrong. The orbital laser is shared between all players. If more than 1 person grab it the 3 uses get shared by others
@@BigBossXCV Stratagems are tied to YOUR destroyer. My squad gets 12 uses of Orbital Laser. Why is this myth still around?
@@brenthumphrey4625 you are right. I've just tested it and it's not shared. I think it was a bug (ahaha a bug) that was fixed because even a lot of TH-cam videos suggested not to bring more than one orbital laser. I changed my comment so people don't get misleaded

That's not true at all. Everyone can use their own orbital laser. The only things shared between the team is the supplies and revives.

Why? It's a valid strat. It's a regular mission and you use regular stratagems. They already increased it's difficulty and you have to put in some effort now.
Complete the game faster! So you can become bored with a great game and revert back to some of your old bland standby games. Sounds like a great plan rather than just enjoying a great game at a decent pace.
What is wrong with you people? Do you think you can't have fun anymore when you have everything unlocked? My whole group is maxxed out on everything for a long time now and we still play this game every day. Your opinion is just one of many. People are different and like different things.

We are losing because the civilian defense missions are what mainly contribute and those missions are unbalanced still.
Everybody knows it so most teams avoid doing them. Teams that easily clear Suicide difficulty get overwhelmed on the civilian defense.
Why, though? This is how games become boring without hitting 30 hours of gameplay.
Introduces tip about farming samples. Mentions getting a full team all in on the same plan. Gets completely sidetracked plugging his discord server. Doesn't provide any useful information on doing the farm/mission itself. Moves on.
So its TH-camrs fault that the game is being ruined, why am I not shocked.

Starts off stating that these farming methods aren't breaking the game, goes on to encourage people to BREAK THE GAME!!!! Leaving a 3 mission op early fails all three missions and impacts a planet's progress. We nearly had 1 bug planet to 80% liberated and need it for the sector. Last night it bottomed out at 14% before I went to bed. 70% progress lost because of this terrible advice.
This makes no sense. You already have unlocked the best gear, why bother "optimizing" your leveling? Just play the game. Show me a guide to leveling up when you are level 1 with nothing unlocked. Now that's a guide worth watching.
These lazy videos are actually screwing up the game and ruining player experiences, what happened to playing a game because it's fun to do? Why do you have to turn it into a job? Plus not finishing campaigns is BAD good lord use your brains people for once.
