Their first 3 album are flawless, Roland Orzabal is a genius, you cannot get any better than Tears for Fears in the '80s

I'm just trying to get some clarification on this, Roland sang the lead on many of the songs (like Shout) but this one is led by Curt. Do I have the names backwards or is everyone just mentioning him for a different reason? You can definitely tell the difference in the vocals and Roland is definitely doing backup on this. Unless as afore mentioned, I have the names mixed up but I'm pretty sure that I don't. Will you please give me some clarification on their names? 😊

    • @xoxxobob61

New Wave defined the 80's and this was more "Pop" for TFF but if you listen to their first Album "The Hurting" it was classic New Wave.

Tears for fears started off a fabulous band, and just got better and better.Rule the world is an extremely highly rated song, The Hurting their first Album is absolutely incredible, it says alot about them that their follow up, Songs from the big chair, eclipsed it, you would certainly enjoy this Rabbit hole, still playing live shows.

This is one of my favorite 80s songs. Tears for Fears had so many great songs, both hits and album cuts. I came across a live version of their song 'The Working Hour' from 2014 here on TH-cam and I loved it and knew I had to explore their catalog. As for future reactions, I suggest 'Head Over Heels' and 'Sowing the Seeds of Love.' I have seen other people react to these music videos without getting blocked, so I would suggest the videos if possible for those. They broke up for about 10 years starting in 1991 but Roland Orzabal continued Tears for Fears by himself during that time. They reunited in 2000 and released an album in 2004. They apparently have a new album finished now, but no release date mentioned yet. When it's safe to see live shows again, I hope they tour, because I would love to see them in concert.

Boy MTV really had me diving into the soft rock/pop genre waiting for the Michael Jackson videos to be played 😂. No regrets, I really did enjoy some of them, this was one of them, kinda soothing feel to it. I was convinced soft rock/pop was just a take on R&B, I’m sticking to that. MTV betta thank MJ for having a lot is glued waiting for the MJ videos to come on!
