This is the best anatomy lecturer I have ever come across!!!! Dr Preddy, please please please make more videos! You need a TH-cam channel!!!!!!! Your lessons are so exceptional!
Very good teaching method. One remark: C8-T1 palsy isn't Erb's palsy (that's C5-C6) but Klumpke's palsy. And you don't have to brake your neck to have panplexus palsy. In that case, you'll have tetraplegia and that isn't a peripheral nerve injury. Thanks for sharing
Watching this now in 2021 as an MS1! Thank you Dr. Preddy. I somehow understand this now. I just wanted to let you are impacting a medical student across the country and 10 years apart from when you originally taught this.
I can't believe how easy this guy makes stuff! Simple, straightforward. I really liked that a student had the courage to ask a 'stupid question' - which, I believe there ARE no stupid questions ---- anyway, asking the question, allowed me, asking the same question in my own mind, to get a very simple answer. The question, "Couldn't you still go --- " "Not backwards"....and then more explanation. Gave me a much deeper understanding. I remember taking anatomy and physiology when I wanted to become a massage therapist. I had a difficult time memorizing everything. The schooling was so rapid-fire, that I lost a lot of the foundation that I needed to understand the other higher concepts. What this guy does is give you SYSTEMS to understand the material - a mental map in order to add more information to; and he helps you do that all along the way. Knowing this information, cold, or not, could be the difference between saving a person's life and letting them die.
This prof. is saving more lifes than he knew. Thank you! Unlike our prof who kicks students out of class because they ask stupid questions, this prof. actually helps his students. That is why when he finished his lecture, every claps. Our prof. finishes his lecture, nobody claps.
This is a much more clinically useful way of imaging the plexus than the more streamlined drawing. Helps a lot in understanding why some terminal branches aren't affected by certain upstream injuries.
C8 damage at 1:28 is not called Erbs palsy, its called Klumpke's palsy. Erbs palsy is damage to the upper part of the brachial plexus, C5,C6, and if its exteded Erbs palsy, it will include C7. Careful doc
Fantastic video when I was learning anatomy and fantastic video while studying for boards. Lovely stuff! Thank you! And good luck to all of you in your studies. :)
Such an awesome teacher! He really engages with the students so well, and you can tell he has the full attention of his students. Wish there was also a video for the lumbosacral plexus. Do you have one available? Pass on our thanks to him.
8 years later and I'm sure some of these students are already doctors by now. Surely med school is tough, but it's just a matter of time. Now time to go back to studying 🙂
you can tell how smart someone is by how quick they move their eyes from side to side, he moves his so quickly i can't even see him moving them i think he is a shapeshifter
Great video. Just a couple of small errors: radial and axillary nerves should be switched (axillary is more lateral). Also, the medial brachial and medial antebrachial cutaneous nerves are branches off of the MEDIAL CORD, not the ulnar nerve where he drew them.
No he drew it correctly. The naming of the cords is what is messing u up. They are called medial cutaneous but theyre part of the bottom row, which gives into median and ulnar both.
Amir Mullick Nah, he's right. Technically, after the "M" it becomes the ulnar branch, it's no longer a cord. He drew them on the ulnar branch. If he'd drawn the MBC and MABC (which is referred to as the medial cutaneous nerve of the arm/forearm in some textbooks, same thing really) before the medial cord gives a branch to form the "M" (in other words, they should be coming off the medial cord, not the ulnar branch), it would have been correct. But, just to throw in my 0.02, judging by this dude's demeanor and attitude, I don't think he really cares, he was more focused on making a point of understanding rather than fine details.
Axillary nerve and Radial nerve are switched. Axillary nerve should be above the Radial nerve, hence the nemonic for the nerve branches- Most Alcoholics Must Really Urinate (Musculocutaneous, Axillary, Median, Radial, Ulnar).
From his diagram, it appears that the medial antebrachial and brachial cutaneous come off of the ulnar branch. However, don't they come off of the medial cord? Furthermore, the axillary nerve is special in terms of its spinal cord innervation. It only receives innervation from C5 and C6 despite what the diagram makes it look like. GREAT VIDEO THOUGH!!!!!
I had a clarification question as well... shouldnt the auxiliary nerve on the post cord branch more laterally instead of medially as shown in his diagram? this video helped a bunch regardless!
well i wish he taught anatomy when I was at that institute attempting that silly MHS masters, The anatomy Prof I had was absolutely trash, you would ask for help and she would just nod while he is actually explaining how to understand which nerves get affected or not affected .... its crazy how so many ppl had PHD's and Dr.'s with their names but dont know how to teach and do no justice to the teaching profession.
This is the best anatomy lecturer I have ever come across!!!!

legit just found my new hero. If I survive pt school, he's a good chunk of the reason why.
Did you?😇
@@KolaAlade-li5db I did :)

If we clone this guy distribute to other med schools, number of doctors will increase. Think about it.
yeahhhh definitely ❤
And physiotherapists too! :D B-)
and occupational therapists lol
😁😁😁 yeahh
Still be bottle necked by residencies though
God bless this beautiful man
This guy is the coolest guy ever.
Him: "That's It!"
Me: *screaming*

It's damage to the upper trunk specifically
man he makes it so easy and uncluttered, i wish my teachers were like this
This dude is literally the GOAT
Dr Preddy simplifies everything. Thank you. 👍🏼
please we need more of this guy's videos
Fantastic video when I was learning anatomy and fantastic video while studying for boards. Lovely stuff! Thank you! And good luck to all of you in your studies. :)

If it wasn't for Dr Preddy and this awesome video, i wouldn't have passed anatomy today.
i need more dr. preddy content. he is the greatest
8 years later and I'm sure some of these students are already doctors by now. Surely med school is tough, but it's just a matter of time. Now time to go back to studying 🙂
Dr Preddy, thanks a lot just learned this today at school and went OMG I don,t understand a thing, but you make it look so easy.
He is pretty awesome! This is much easier to understand. Direct and to the point. BAM!!!!! Thank you for posting

If my lecturer was as good as you I wouldn't be spending all my Time in the library.....
His explanations are soooooo simple to understand
He lifts.
+TheBorisDude books
Great explanation of the brachial plexus. This is very helpful for the OT students too.
I appreciate this professor so much. Thank you for sharing.
He's so amazing. saved my life.
Love Dr. Preddy
Thank you so much Dr. Preddy.
I wish I had a teacher like you in Physio school!!!
i’ve got my first anatomy test for PA school next week and this was extremely helpful!!
Wish my Functional Anatomy instructor was this good!
You should try making more of these ,cos you good at it
Omg ..such a cool guy..now l’m not have to memorize brachial plexus it become easy like a piece of cake🥺❤️
Such a good presentation.
Great stuff - makes it very easy - innervated muscle groups easy to add one you get the basics shown here
DAMN! This guy is a GOD man! Love him!!!
Axillary nerve and Radial nerve are switched. Axillary nerve should be above the Radial nerve, hence the nemonic for the nerve branches- Most Alcoholics Must Really Urinate (Musculocutaneous, Axillary, Median, Radial, Ulnar).
I love this guy!
from my understanding the axillary nerve is made of fibers form the c5 and c6 roots so how would a break in c8 or t1effecct the axillary nerve

God please don't you have other videos for gluteal region or lower limb thigh..etc
he's great teacher
Please, save me and download more videos like this my final exam in med school is after 2months
I need more videos!!!
I had a clarification question as well... shouldnt the auxiliary nerve on the post cord branch more laterally instead of medially as shown in his diagram? this video helped a bunch regardless!
Love this guy!!!!
I thought Erb's Palsy was due to a lesion in the C5-C6 nerve roots not C8?
Ya, so what’s the doubt?
Erbs palsy is upper brachial injury, not lower. but great video!
Who is this amazing professor guys? Anybody knows his name, oh yeah Dr. Preddy
This guy amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!
this guy is amazing
This dude is awesome
thank you Doctor !
please make more videos
SO Helpful!!!
I applied to this school but ended up going somewhere else. I’m regretting my decision now lol
Goshhh...He's great MASHA'ALLAH..

soooooooo clearrrrrrr!
Nice video
very nice
awesome pls make more this awesome staff and add more tags to it pls to find them. also if u have ur own channel pls let me know . thank u
excuse me ask. how to find out the point where it is damaged? MRI, CT scan, ?
good presentation
the real goat
WHAT ABOUT THE NERVE FOR SUBCLAVIAN
He’s goooood
omg what the... I finally want to learn brachial plexus
BUT WHY DID THE GUY APOLOGIZE AT 0:27??? I MUST KNOW
'merica
Amazing
does he have a video for the lumbar plexus also
well i wish he taught anatomy when I was at that institute attempting that silly MHS masters, The anatomy Prof I had was absolutely trash, you would ask for help and she would just nod while he is actually explaining how to understand which nerves get affected or not affected .... its crazy how so many ppl had PHD's and Dr.'s with their names but dont know how to teach and do no justice to the teaching profession.
nice work also do watch easy to draw brachial plexus its mainly exam oriented drawing
Yes, to terrorist96 (wtf?) the axillary nerve is superior to the radial.
DR. PEDDY, YOU NEED A TH-cam CHANNEL SIR LOL.
Alhamdulillah!!!!
an anatomy specialist that even looks somewhat swol, embodying the subject he is teaching
who r u god of anatomy?
Damn
Please... purchase a tripod.... please
