I love this build. @8:00 that's my goal with most my builds nowadays Building something that can be actually enjoyed, and not rocking the boat as it were. The ones that know will see you, and the all the ones attracted to shiny objects and the loudest will miss it. This is quite literally verbatim how I'd build a 260 or 280. I got a dream build in my head for a 1985 300ZX as well, always thought the boxy look could be really sweet with the right bodywork adjustments and rolling stock.
Cars are crazy like that. My first Z31 on cut springs and an exhaust (cut springs was a horrible idea 😂) was a head turner and always got compliments. It’s honestly what makes being a car guy, awesome.
@sagnik8432 why i like just rolling patina. Instead of picking out every little flaw your eyes are drawn to all the new parts... also just able to have more fun driving and parking g than worrying
Man, this car is one of the ones that inspired me to want to keep my goal of building a classic. I have one right now that is at that first stage of needing everything but being a solid car. I just have to find the money and team willing to help me see it reach the goal. For me, I've always owned Toyota cars even though I love my Nissan cars. Which is a funny story that I got my old school Toyota from one of my best friends that has rebuilt Datsun's in the past. I hope one day I will have mine cruising down the road alongside yours.
I usually wait a few hrs to start watching the FD stream so I can skip through commericals. This is the only FD commerical I wont skip. Sounds amazing ❤
I know a dude with a old 260z . Been trying to buy it off him for years, someday. Exact build that fits it pefectly. Btw that 260 is V8 swapped and pretty clean but that would be coming out if I get it.
You Will Get 'Em In Atlanta (FD) What Was That Drift Video With This Z And A White 370z It Was Like You Were Going To Work? I Cannot Remember That, But That Video Has Lived Rent Free In My Head Since It Came Out!
