      It obv doesn’t look as smooth as when the adults do it. However, nothing does when your dealing with 4-5 y.o but these drills are engaging, fun applicable to the sport( and other sports also like lateral movement and hand eye coordination) can get multiple kids involved(which is the most important thing when dealing with these young kids and especially with baseball which is typically the hardest to have multiple kids involved.

    This guy definitely loves his job. He has passion in baseball and not many more coaches like that. I hope to coach my sons first team and I’m definitely passionate, but I also want them to have as much fun as they can!

    Just watched this video prepping for my first practice with 1st grade coach pitch fall ball this weekend, LOVE the the tire idea, but I need a tire. Just called a tire shop five minutes away, explained what I need, guy said if I can come by tonight, he'll hook me up with a scrap tire. I now have a free scrap tire in the trunk, ready for Saturday! Love it fellas, thank you!

    Same here, I just started on Day 1 of coaching the Tee Ball team and I restrained all the players from playing catch. I didn't want anyone getting hurt and not having fun. All of this is spot on advice and I will surely implement these drills into our practice routine.

    This is great for teams that have access to this stuff. I would love to see barebone practice with tall grass. I get one practice a week in tall grass. No dirt time.

    THANK YOU! This is perfect as I'm a newly elected coach for my 4yo T-Ball team at the Y. I'm getting some of the Smush balls too and for those looking, they're cheaper on here than amazon.

    Question for you t ball enthusiasts. My child was put on the pitchers mound. Is this considered a spot for a player who shows potential, or the latter? Just trying to figure out what the coaches think of my child.

    • @garygoodson3673
      @garygoodson3673 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Id say they see somethin! ask the coach what areas they need work in!

    • @mindymaria871
      @mindymaria871 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@garygoodson3673 Sees something in a good way or a bad way? They did say she was the only one who could catch a ground ball. Sure enough, she stopped everything her first game. They are so little though, so I wasn’t sure. When I started in pinto I was put there as well. I just wasn’t sure if it was a negative way of treating a girl player. Didn’t hurt me much though lol, I was on second base in no time. Then moved to short stop when I began softball.

    Let’s let the 4 and 5 year olds stand on a bucket as they learn to not be scared of catching the ball…great idea… none of this shit is for t-ball. This is maybe the next level or two up.
