Thanks for this!!
One of the best youth baseball training videos I’ve seen
Just found this video, what an invaluable resource for coaching!! Thanks so much for making this!
First year coaching tball, (3-6 year olds) very appreciative for this video!!! Got a lot of awesome and productive ideas!
Mind if I ask how it went? I'm about to start my first year coaching t ball. Got any tips?
@@mr_num_numz it went great! I was blessed with an awesome group of kids.. Some tips I could give would be to remain patient with them and remember to keep it fun for them.. at this age you want them to enjoy it and keep coming back! Some practice techniques I used were 1. Zip tieing a couple hula hoop’s to the fence for target practice, and teaching them how to properly throw.. 2: I put buckets on 1st, 2nd and 3rd base and spray painted them red, white, and blue (then home obviously) because I found it was easier for them to remember the bases in order that way.. 3: grab a bat and a ball and line the kids up, practicing hitting them grounder’s and teach them to get their glove down in the dirt, with their opposite hand on top using the “alligator chomp” method to stop ground balls from popping up.. 4: for the real littles, I would start off throwing them bean bags instead of balls, to get them comfortable with catching with their glove.. (they were less scared to get hit with the bean bags) then we moved up to tennis balls, then t-balls! 5: make a list of your team and use it as your dug out “line up” and have them sit in that order to send them out to bat, (it’s helpful if you have a parent or assistant coach to keep ur ducks in a row for you, since you’ll probably on the field pitching them balls) ..also while your team is batting, keep reminding your team to pay attention to the game, and cheer on their teammate who’s up to bat, that way they’re ready and excited for their turn to get out there.. And my favorite and most fun tip would be to end the season with a big water balloon fight after their last game ends! parents/coaches vs the kids! That’s a MUST when it comes to ending our season in the funnest way possible, and they’ll definitely want to come back next year. 😉
@@mr_num_numz sorry for such a long response, but hopefully that’ll give you some good ideas to run with! Best of luck to you and your team this season buddy!
@@Itskpsucka thanks for the helpful tips!
I am having a youth baseball camp, this is so helpful. Thank you for this video.
This video is real helpful I love it
I really appreciate your input and will definitely implement some of these with the kids
These are incredible and seemingly quite fun for kids to use! Thank you so much for sharing your content!!
Excellent video. Thank you.
Some brilliant tips, thank you!!
Looking forward to bringing these ideas to practice
First years coaching tball 3-6 years old thanks for the great video
Great job, great fun drills!
Thanks!
I needed this video thank you.
Muy buenos ejercicios! Super divertidos para los niños. Les encanta hacer contacto con las burbujas y la carrera de obstáculos.
Thanks for this video my daughters first year playing definitely going to do these drills
This video was a huge help to my 5 year old. Thanks!
Great video!
I learned to hit a curve ball by hitting a frisbee thrown to me by a friend. We made a game out of it and it was awesome. You can do all kinds of tricks with a frisbee.
Good stuff. Took alot of drills away!
saludo desde venezuela muy bueno el video lo impartire en la etapa de iniciacion..
I have been coaching youth baseball for 15 years and some these could actually help with kids up to ages 8-9 years old. Especially the drills with traditional baseball resources!!!! for an older video I found it to be very informative
First year coaching t-ball. I am looking forward to these drills and so are my twins!
That’s such a cool way for to learn! My 4 year old is starting next year he’s gonna be a beast lol.
Fantastic!
This is good
Thank you, 1st year coaching learned a lot
Those are some big tee ballers
😂😂
I just made my teams practice schedule for the season with this video alone
Ft tight no ok k8 QA as age
#30 - Throwing. One of the first steps for the little ones is how to stand, so what I have done is have them put their arms out and rotate their whole body until their glove hand faces their target. For some reason most kids want to face you directly and throw with just their arm.
Great idea. We use the Point, Step & Throw cues!
Great idea. Really help for kids not getting the point step and throw.
I only coached from 8u up to 12u then passed my kid off to better coaching. Eagerly jumped in coaching a team full of 4 year olds in a 4 to 6 age group and 3 practices down and I feel utterly stressed. Never had to start at the very beginning lol what did I do
How did it go
Game one 6 of 9 showed up played it out went as well as to be expected. Game 2, 3 of 9 showed up threw the team together and had a good mixed team practice. Convinced the league to let me cut 3 that never showed to anything and tag in 3 that we drummed up from family so next practice will tell me a lot about where we are at well the next couple practices and game. Hope we can salvage the season thanks for checking on me!
@@Apache-pride_253 6 of 9 showed ouch. did you all have any practices before that?
Coach got money using all that painters tape.
Thumbnail kid needs his elbow up 😂
That poor Tee...
These are some weird drills
