Hey Guys, I might gave you a misleading information in this video, at least for this oscilloscope, it really applies to other oscilloscopes regarding the size of the USB pen/partition. I tested today (should it have done before the video, but better late than never) and at least for my Kingston 16GB I was able to format it with FAT32 filesystem in one 16GB partition. I had the 4GB problem with other oscilloscopes and since this one requires the FAT32 to work (i tested with a 128GB NTFS USB pen and went nuts, had to reboot it) I assumed that will have also to be max 4GB, it doesn't. Sorry for this misleading information, it will work anyway, just its not a requirement. Well if formated in windows 10 and I tested up to 16GB pen.
Since the method of upgrading 2C10 to 2D15 was released, the firmware release has been stopped on the official homepage. Thank you for providing after-sales service as well as recommending the product.
Maybe you don't know this, but fat 32 is not limited to 4gb partition size. I still make huge fat32 partitions. I used a 120gb ssd in a USB case for the firmware. However I would be limited to 4gb for a single file size.
Hi! Totally right, I messed up with the requirements of the Rigol devices I have here where if you want to mess with them, the USB pen must be formated with FAT16. Anyway, thanks for the heads up and for watching! 👍
Hi, thanks for the clear and comprehensive video, I'm writing to you from Italy, if you can help me I have a Hantek DSO2C10 that starts but then freezes after it has run the hardware check. the commands don't respond and I don't see any traces, only channel 1 remains on, what could have happened? is there a reset maneuver? thanks for your answers. Greetings.
Very very good video, thanks a lot. in the Hantek Website there are a few downloads. The firmware, which you have shown us in this video, the manual, but also a file called "DSO2000 Software", is this for the PC I assume?, do you have it installed in yours?
Hey Carlos! Yes, I did install the PC software, you have a oscilloscope PC terminal and arbitrary wave builder/editor. You can take a look on the PC software in this review video I made ( th-cam.com/video/2xRvbORAahM/w-d-xo.html ), I show there how they work. Thanks for watching! 👍
Excellent video! But I have a doubt. Please, can you check for me if it is possible to measure the phase angle between two sinusoidals with this equipment? That is, what is the phase angle between channels 1 and 2 when both channels have a sine wave, but the frequencies of channels 1 and 2 are different? Does it do this measurement automatically? Thanks.
Hi Roney, personally I never done that. Didn't have that need. But I'm not aware of any special "feature" to do that, if you can do it with cursors, you're safe, other than that can't garantee that you can use it for that kind of measure. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for this video! Have you tested if this upgrade made improvements to the low voltage accuracy issue that you mentioned about this scope in the previous comparison video you made?
Hey Jeff, not yet, I'm preparing a video to check that and also do a speed test using a TDR to measure the rise times and so on. Just need to organize here the time to make it. Will be soon. Thanks for watching. 👍
After an FW upgrade you should do a calibration too: waiting at least 30mins turned on and then proceeding with the calibration, sometimes a probe adjustment may be needed too.

Hello Hugo! Thanks for this video. I am thinking whether to buy this oscilloscope or the owon sds1102. Can you make a video where you verify if the bugs persist or if they were eliminated after the firmware update? Greetings from Argentina.
Hi Agustin, my next video will be about this oscilloscope, it will release in the next days, so stay alert, One of the things that I will test is if the upgrade solves the issues I found in the first review video I made and in the showdown video. Thanls for watching! 👍
Set up my new 2C10 and it didn't work very well. Measurements were incorrect and response was sluggish. I installed the latest firmware update and it worked just fine. I'm wondering if some of these units are programed with a test edition of the firmware and not the final retail version. The firmware update should be the first item in the manual, not on the back pages. Thanks for the video, big help.
Hi James, I was really glad when I read this, is always good when the video helps someone. Glad I could help and thanks a lot for watching the video and your comment! Kudos 👍
Hey David, the first models, I think it was just a software thing, even the bandwidth, I even have the code to "upgrade" the oscilloscope, but talking with Paul from Learn Electronics channel, he told me that the latest units are missing some components that will allow the AWG functions, so I thing this is a "it depends" issue, if you have those components on the board, you'll probably be able to "upgrade" your unit. Thanks for watching. 👍

I am starting to make up my mind to buy this oscilloscope but after seeing your comparison video I am a bit confused. I mainly will be using this oscilloscope for voltage ripple measurements in mV. Can you please let me know whether it will be able to measure ripples in the range of 20mV-50mV? It will be extremely helpful for so many of us if you can make a video on it too.

Hi, well, that seems a bit out of the scope of the oscilloscope, if you know in which device the "buzz" is, you might use it or a multimeter to find out which component is doing that, but generally speaking find which device is doing that, I really don't know if that's possible. Sorry. Thanks for watching.
