Apostle Kathryn Krick, Prosperity Preachers, and The Harmful Movement Driving Their Message.

  • Kathryn Krick claims to be an apostle and pastor of Five Fold Church in Los Angeles. Her popularity has blown up recently. She has been on my radar for some time now. But this is bigger than just her and her teachings. This is a spiritual beast that's part of a larger movement. It has DNA running throughout many churches and pulpits that run into the *millions*. These numbers are insane. I’m deeply concerned with how many people are attracted to these teachings and how unbiblical and harmful they can be. I share five major areas of this movement to look out for.

I need to clarify at 08:54-
I said that WoF puts "humanity" In the same class as God. This is incorrect. In WoF's view, it's when you're *born again* is when you're in the same class as God as "little gods." Sorry if there was any confusion!

@@deni-gibbs little gods come from the time of judges. God used them to judge between the Jews. Judges and rulers of our day may fit the definition. Yes, that's when they activate their true "god power"
Those first clips get me so mad. My son is autistic. So is my nephew. I've had charismatic healers try to "rebuke that spirit" for years. It's pure trash. They don't know God, they certainly don't have His power.

I watched my sister slowly die over 3 years from leukemia. I didn't doubt for one second God would heal her and neither did she even when we saw her body deteriorating. Then one day she passes, all while I never stopped believing God would heal her. Now by God's grace my heart didn't grow cold and I understand more than I did then.
Jesus didn't die to keep the physical body from deteriorating, He died to give us a brand new body that would NEVER deteriorate, and in this I rejoice knowing that my sister is resting, waiting for the day Christ comes and changes our bodies into the eternal bodies of glory. More people need to understand this because the doctrine of promised healing has ruined the faith of many. For all of us death is the GREATEST healing because we COME AWAY from the body of death, decay and disease.
Lastly, I'm sure NO ONE in Heaven is saying, "God, why didn't you heal me," but rather, "God why didn't you bring me here sooner?!"

Very beautifully put. My Father has leukemia and it is so hard to watch his health failing. We do hope and pray for healing, but my real prayer is that we will be strengthened and comforted and know the grace of God better no matter the outcome. It is a relief to know that his future is entirely in God’s hands, and not my own.

Yahusha healed all who came to Him. His Apostles healed. The Holy Spirit gives the gift of healing. We are told that those who are sick will recover by the prayer of faith. (James 3). Mark 16:17-18 says that all who believe will heal.
Not receiving healing is a broken connection on our end, not on His. When we don't understand we keep pressing in.

    I was healed.
I had serious hearing loss from years of playing electric guitar and shooting guns.
I was in a small church with maybe 20 people.
I was praying for someone else and suddenly everything got really loud.
I could hear others praying and even air flowing from the HVAC system.
I didn't ask for healing, it just happened.

Are you saying you're perfect is your faith and that you have all the faith you need. If I fail to receive something promised to me in scripture, I look at myself. I don't blame a teacher or movement that is trying to help me be healed or prosperous. I've been in Word of Faith for over 30 years and have never heard anyone say to a person who did not receive healing "you don't have enough faith." What is usually taught is that your unbelief is hindering your faith. Or....hindrances to receiving healing. All you need on the faith side is a mustard seed size.

I recently left the church I was in for 7 years. Served in many ways (worship leading, youth teaching, technical staff etc.) for all this time. I loved it, and it helped me a lot in my walk. A pastor I was really close to since my conversion (he baptized me) came to lead the church 3 years ago. When I first knew him, he was clean. But he has become a Word of Faith teacher, and he ruined it all. The church is still full, but of people who only want miracles and healings. No sound teaching anymore, books to sell replaced with Johnson's lies. I doubted my own discernment for 2 years before I decided to leave. It hurt me so much, I became really suspicious of everyone, and it's been hard to join another church. There was a shift also in the songs that were put forward during worship, and I have stepped down from my ministry because of that. Some songs, that are not bad in and on itself, in the church where I go now, remind me of this pastor and just destroy my worship time. It leaves in sadness and despair.
And I live in France, just so you know that it is not just an American thing...

They put their hands on my shoulders to pray then they physically forced me to fall back into the floor. I tried to resist but they kept pulling and pushing me. So I did do what they wanted and they asked me how I felt, but nothing was different and I made a point to tell the pastor that nothing had changed. To this day I don’t know what they were thinking….i never expected to be healed right then and there. I can not begin to tell you how awful I always felt, because I did not feel I was good enough, had enough faith, was smart enough or was capable of having the faith they kept saying I needed to do or have xyz. I am now, just trying to find a good Bible based church to attend, and I am doing a deep dive into the scriptures. I am also trying to unlearn what I was taught for the last 60 years. Thank God he is faithful to lead us if we only ask and follow his direction.

I've had an issue with Kathryn's ministry since I first saw her. People going through deliverance should not be on a stage... ‭Matthew 10:8 "Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.". Jesus said freely. Now the supposed "lord of Kathryn" says this poor lady whose child is suffering needs to tithe more for deliverance. What happened to Jesus having compassion on someone and healing them? Since when did Jesus charge anyone for freedom? This is disgraceful. May the Lord rebuke her.

Also, if it was from the Lord, the demons wouldn't have stayed long, they would have long been *frightened* of the body with loud screams and run away. Kenneth Copeland/Derek Prince/Kenneth Hagin weren’t at this level at that time but they were approaching it. I will have to say that Kenneth Hagin was no where near the level of heresay that Kennth Copeland was and is. Your video today touches on things the like of which I have never heard. (I got out of the Word of Faith movement about 25 years ago) I appreciate you bringing these kinds of people to light. I will have to say that Spirit/soul/body was introduced back then but the speaker saying that we should not question them wasn’t part of it at that time. I got out because of the “you don’t have enough faith”and “you don’t give enough” mantra was too overwhelming and I could not find it anywhere in scripture. Thanks for all you do.

He is now 30 years old, and I pray every day he will learn to trust God. Until a person's heart is broken by giving, that stinking Mammon controls that person. That may be what Katherine was addressing in that clip where she instructed that man to give more. And, yes, people may writhe on the ground when a demon is allowed to manifest. They did it in Jesus' day; why wouldn't they do it, now? Are we somehow too dignified, today? Thank you Melissa. You explained WoF perfectly; making it understandable. One of the reasons so many get trapped - their skewed doctrine is oh so subtle. But your explanation really has helped my wife and I see what to watch for from our own new Pastor who last Sunday said how reading the Bible is bad. That reading and studying the Bible keeps you from believing in signs and wonders. The family handling the youth “walked”, on the spot. We are close, but have not got a direction just yet from the Father. I told my wife that if the Pastor connects God’s sovereignty to cash donations, we will know that he has become, (or always was), a, “the Will of God completed upon earth as it is in heaven”, BEFORE Jesus returns, kind if guy; his eschatology. He has been pounding about the Spirit gifts now for a month. I am tired of leaders who are always wrong, do not obey God’s Word - twisting what it says. We are a created being, that’s it! We are not and never will be gods. We are a created expression of His love.

They perish because they lack knowledge from the truth. This verse can be used against churches who teach a false gospel to control people and bring in more money. People who lack knowledge of the true God are unfortunately desperate and want to look for signs, and wonders. Another trick these false teachings is he can make you rich! Andrew isn’t quite in the same category as word of faith preachers. He’s pretty clear about acting according to the faith you have, and not someone else’s. He actively rebukes people for trying to just mimic the faith he may have to not go to the doctor or whatever. At the core he’s actually a bible teacher and not a word of faith guy.
The school also emphasis a high view of scripture, as the entire first year program is reading through the entire bible as your “textbook”. As a big fan of apologetics and critical thinking, I don’t agree with quite everything Andrew says, but he has one of the healthiest healing ministries I’ve seen.
