Broke down yesterday an hour away. No crank, but had power. Got my '07 van trailered home. Watched several videos beforehand and then watched this one. BAM! 💥 It started after discovering my 40amp starter fuse was blown. Swapped it out with the tailgate fuse and it started. Big lesson learned.
Hey man. Good info. Maybe you can help me further. I did what you said junped the two terminals. Engine cranks. Have power when key is turned at relay. But no ground. Am i looking at a ecm. Also little red light dot on dash (immobilizer) stays lit. Suppose togo out after three sec. also obd2 reader will not communicate to computer when plugged in any thought. Thanks very much

At 2:30 are you saying, "if you 'never do' or 'ever do' see a power coming in thru here, etc.....?" My issue is that the 'square' illuminating box that surrounds the 'PRN32L' doesn't surround the 'P' so the van will start. It does surround the 'P' occasionally and the van starts fine. Any suggestions? I have joggled the shift cable and its linkage to the trans under the hood and it's worked occasionally. Tons of possibilities to the issue but I'm lost. Ignition switch, TCM, brake switch, etc, etc, etc. I'm sure you know what I mean, Thanks!
I think you answered some of my questions, i think my starter is good, because when it catches it roils the motor over real good, sometimes it just clicks, so i think it is the starter relay, right?
My 07 was running great and after the last time it was driven it appeared to have a dead battery which is not the case. Now it will turn over very slow and will not start as if the battery is weak but the battery is new. One time I got the codes for the crankshaft and camshaft position sensors but they have not came back after clearing them. Could it be the starter? Or could it actually be one of the two sensors? Too me it seems it would be a mechanical issue rather than electrical but I'm just guessing here.
Thanx for the video,I have starting problems with my 2007 Dodge Caravan..After the car has cooled down sufficiently I have to crank it twice to get it started,now its 3 times.It turns over just fine.I put about 4000 miles on the car since the issue started.I replaced the fuel pump relay and the starter relay for lack of better knowledge. Once the car starts there are no issues with acceleration etc. I havn't jumped the fuel pump cause common sense tells me, if it is running and driving the fuel pump must be ok,am I wrong? watching other videos the topic of the TIPM came up which is integrated in a circuit board somewhere inaccessible. Got any advice for this kinda situation? Great video thanx for putting it up,much appreciated !
I have a 2008 T&C. When I turn the key to start I hear a double click at the key. The starter does not engage. If I try this 3 to 5 more times the transmission display changes where all positions are circled.
I have a 2001 with no power to the accessories when starting the vehicle but if I turn the key backwards the accessories work also it spend the starter on the on position
My dodge Grand caravan 2007 3.3 engine just clicks ones when I try to start it I just got a brand new battery and got a brand new starter last year but every now and then it does try to start it does try to turn over so what could that mean?
question: can i connect piece of wire between the two ends of where the legs of the relay insert into to determine if the starter can be started?? If you do know answer, then which two of the four you colored coded should be used?? thanks a bunch for any assistance coming fourth
Im working on my Mothers van 2007 caravan It done some pretty odd things lately,such as Wipers and horn activating by themselves She parked it the other day and now it will not start,the starter itself is fine and turns the motor over but when trying to start it all system are good to go(dash lights ect) but no start,i have a feeling its to do with the anti theft.Ive disconnected the battery over night and tryed again and it flashed the hazzards but still no start. It has command start installed with 2 fobs Any ideas?
i was changing the starter i forgot to unhook the battery as i was taking starter off the hot wire to the sylinoid i touched the body a spark now it wont start old starter new starter but ignition seems to have power those fuses were all checked switched around and still nothing Got any ideas? mines a 2003 3,3
I have a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan and had to replace steering column with a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan steering column that had an ignition switch and 🔑 from a salvage yard ? Is the brain of the 2006 gonna react to this new steering column ? Because right now nothing is working ?
My 2007 dodge grand caravan was running fine. I parked it and a couple hours later had to get a jump. It started right away with the jump. I left and pulled up to my nieces. Killed it and a few minutes later it won't start. Tried to get another boost. Won't start with boost. Can use screwdriver on starter relay and it tries to turn overdone but acts like it's not getting gas. I just had a fuel pump assembly put in. New. And fuel pump is kicking in. I don't know what now.

What if you hear clicking noise in the fuse box and car won't start, but you can hear the starter trying to turn over?
I would start by checking the battery and the connections
I have power, lights & windows work. Doesn't start & makes clicking noise. Won't start. Dash dials rotate in both directions.
My dash dials did that was relay try swapping the relay to your dash with the starter relay

I baught a caravan and found a 20 amp above that central 30 I know it ain’t supposed to go there should I trying putting a 15 amp like the box says?

Red dot is saying that it is not reading your key, May need a new battery in key fob
