Truck mounts greatly reduce the number of properties you can access, plus doors need to be left open and hoses rolled across paths creating a hazard. Not to mention the high cost of them. A top quality portable will do just as good a job, with a lot less hassle.
This adds a very good point, go too high with your psi, you just get an over wet carpet with same results, 250psi is all I use, a good pre spray and knowledge is all you need
Man oh man did all of my jobs improve when I turned my portable down to 220 psi I stay well within the heaters capacity - Dry passes per usual - Dry times GREATLY IMPROVED You’re absolutely right knowledge makes a huge difference

andres chiquini the psi on the machine only goes to 120 and the unit I bought didn’t have a heater. I ended up buying an adjustable 1500 psi water pump and in line heater.
i use jon don PSE150 with 150 psi inline heater gets really hot it was only $1400 and it works real well and water recovery is really good as well, just saying if you wanted to check it out.Truckmounts are expensive im also considering the mytee electric truckmount for only $4000 better then buying a $15000 truckmount and still spend gas money on it if
Sounds like you have the dual 2 stage with 1.5in port and this will give a poor water recovery with long hose runs, if you had the enduro dual 3 stage with 2" port I swear you can go up to 100ft of hose with excellent recovery. Also using a 2" wand provides much more air flow than a 1.5" wand.

Never had it repaired. If you keep it maintained should keep going.
