- Apple announced they are coming to the Raleigh NC area to build the largest campus on the East Coast. Life in Raleigh will never be the same! In this video we tell you all about the impact Apple will have on the Raleigh Durham RTP Triangle area and the rest of the state of North Carolina. Ive lived in Raleigh for a year and I'm telling you now coming from Seattle, you don't know what you have till it's gone. Gentrification, prices, traffic. Yall aren't ready. Reputation=cost.

@@politiciansthrowstones it's tit for tat on that stuff all day. I know so many great people that are in the center which is about where I fall, but there isn't much representation if any as we are all bombarded with left/right acting, its wrestling without any entertainment value.
So happy I bought my house here right before COVID hit last year. The seller initially was selling for $250,000 and we bought at $230,000. My home value is already over the seller's initial asking price now.
Perfect! Yep, most homes in that price range are going for well over asking right now.

Man I bought in Raleigh/ (Right at the crossover to Garner) in November 2019 and I can’t tell you how lucky I am. I was so used to North Raleigh/Creedmoor road I was concerned about moving south of downtown but man. I’m 12 minutes from Cameron Village, 7 minutes from Fayetteville St. If they build the soccer stadium I’m super golden.

I live in Raleigh, and the public transit system is not good in the Triangle area, I do hope that it improves before APPLE comes to RTP/Raleigh area.

I'm glad I sold my 1 bdrm. Condo unit in Alexandria Virginia last September 2020 and bought my townhome near Raleigh before they jack up the home prices here.

The National Lacrosse League has quote tweeted 2 Carolina Hurricanes tweets hinting at a potential team here. Currently have 13 teams (1 expansion on way) and they said they want to expand to 16 teams. On the airport topic, supposedly, airlines have continued talks with the airport about a flight to Asia. I’m hearing a flight to Beijing, China 2x weekly starting in 2022 on United Airlines’ 787 Dreamliner aircraft
That's very good news about the Lacrosse League and new flight destinations! I know there were talks about those flights pre-2020. Hope we get more international flights soon.

Yes they are bad all year round here, and the property taxes are outrageous. Our house is valued at $230,000 and the taxes this year will be between $5500 -$6000.

@@crystalwhiting1769 hope you are factoring state income tax into your calculation! :) I have a friend who made the reverse move (Triangle to ATX). His feedback is he thinks Austin’s downtown area is more happening than Raleigh’s but the Triangles suburban areas (Cary, etc.) are better than similar areas around Austin.

To clarify, Apple has been in Austin for decades. A new campus is being built. The sudden influx of multiple other tech companies moving into Austin is what had such a huge impact on the housing market.

When you add the populations of the Triangle and the Triad and future residents you can get to 3M fairly quickly. Time will tell.

This is a bit unfortunate, in my opinion. I am in walking distance of one of the Apple offices in north Austin. I imagine even more people will be moving to Raleigh now. I was debating moving to Raleigh to get away from Austin and its extreme influx of people.

I doubt it. Tech and more people doesn't necessarily equal up to better living.💯 (Obviously). More people also means more overcrowding, less space, more crime, ect, ect.( I believe that's what they want low key) It means only higher prices and low key surveillance more than likely. This is not metropolis. It's already overcrowded as it is. Talk is cheap, it, like most things they've conjured up will only benefit a few. (We will see) It likely doesn't mean us (the people) any good, (sounds good tho) it will mainly benefit (as usual) the wealthy, the tech giants and the Government's pockets. Need to stay wherever there at. Thisis not the Jetsons. Sad truth as a Raleigh resident I am tired of watching this unhostile- hostile takeover.💯😎✊🏾💪🏾 they said fuck the natives homes, families, and lives, push them out with out making it look like it. It's all about money, outsiders and politics. If they meant that much good around here they'd stop building all these art project houses, condos, and cramming everyone in these apartment buildings instead of building regular sized home where more homes can be built for more families/people to live without having to damn near be on top of one another. Everytime you open your door you looking in someone's home and they staring into yours.
