This is aphasia and there are times I have a very mild kind of this. I know the word, I understand the idea but I cannot get the words out of my brain and the out of my mouth. It's because I'm old but that's not Sarah's problem. Hers is more difficult. But let me tell you, it's frustrating because you know that you are not getting your words together. You are aware of your difficulty and your loss. I'm so sorry for Sarah. I just picked up this channel and don't know much about her or her family but I do know about this problem. For me I am able to write if I cannot find words verbally. She can't do that.. For her she is just at a loss. I do sometimes do some public advocacy for affordable housing. I get stuck on certain words frequently and other words come but very, very slowly...too slowly for public speaking. So I speak up with a cheat sheet of words on a particular subject that I know might trap me into an embarassing silence or using the wrong word. It works for me. People who know me are patient or help me out and I appreciate the help. They know I am still capable of analysis, I know my own mind I just can't find a word or a phrase sometimes. Sarah has a hard row to hoe and she and her husband do it with ultimate grace. So, so sorry.

I have to say that it upsets me when others judge you for sharing these difficult moments. Cancer isn't pretty. Josh has repeated that Sarah gives her full consent when she is able..it is not for others to judge..we are not the ones going through this and to judge someone else is easy to do, but also inappropriate imo. Feel lucky to not be going through this struggle and appreciate the fact that fellow cancer sufferers and their families may benefit from seeing this. I think these videos for terminally ill people are cathartic for them. It gives them a bit of time away from the disease even though they may be talking about it. Someone may not understand why and to those individuals I say, should you become I’ll with a terminal disease you can deal with it as you choose. Sarah’s symptoms somewhat resemble dementia.

I've just now come across your channel. First, let me apologize for Sarah's passing. I can tell she was a beautiful, kind person and I feel so sad for you and your family.
Second, thank you for sharing this video. It must have been such a hard decision, but I think people need to see what a seizure looks like, that they aren't just huge and physically aggressive episodes. This can also look similar in someone having a stroke. Thank you for having the strength to let us in to this moment.

Josh…You are such an incredible husband, so caring and comforting to Sarah throughout her seizure and cancer journey.
It’s so hard to watch Sarah change from one moment to the next, having a seizure. My brother, Kevin, had lung cancer which metastasized to his brain.
I understand seizures, as he suffered them also.
Love you both..Josh and Sarah…you are showing and helping others what life is like with Cancer and how struggling it can be.
My wish is to find a cure for cancer!
Stay strong Josh! I hope and pray a new med will turn things around for Sarah!
    Much love! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Assigning no blame here, just frustration regarding the situation. I feel the necessity to go off treatment in preparation for the clinical trial along with the subsequent Shingles delay really afforded time for the cancer to progress unabated. That Shingles delay really sucked because it basically got her ineligible for the trial due to progression in the brain. I hope when she is able to re-start treatment it will afford the family longer quality time together. All the best during this challenging time

    Dear Josh and Sarah,
have you ever heard from „TIL therapy“ for melanoma treatment?
It seems experimental, but I would like to mention it, because it seems to work for some of melanoma patients for which PD1- „addressing“ immunotherapy (like Nivolumab) was not effective.
I have just read about it and would like to share, even if I don‘t know if it is an option for Sarah…
Honestly, I don‘t know, what to write… just that it is heartbreaking and that I wish Sarah, you and your family all the best.

This is a very delicate situation and I am not a medical practitioner by any means, but Sarah seems very cognizant and aware - it seems at times, her nerves or brainwaves may not be firing properly to be able to say what she knows she is thinking, but can’t get her mouth to say. That must be so frustrating, but Josh is patient and took the time to ask Sarah what her preference was and she implied with her nodding yes, she herself wanted to keep filming. I trust that should Josh deem anything just too sensitive, that he simply would put down the camera and not film. Without any doubt at all.
Just an opinion that differs from yours, is all. I still completely respect that you are entitled to yours. Peace out and if your American, enjoy the 4th! ☺️

@user-uj9xf6zy4t Watching someone slowly die from cancer is horrible. Unless you've been there dont judge , maybe they're trying to help others who have this evil disease.

So very glad to hear you are currently cancer free. It must truly feel like a whole wonderful, new lease on life and I hope you live to be a ripe old age, without ever having to face that battle again.
Everyone’s journey and ending is uniquely different. We all wish that everyone’s endings could be like yours, but that’s just ‘wishful’ thinking.
Sometimes we all need to heed Sarah’s message of to ‘be kind and make good choices’ - I believe that could mean offering words of comfort, support and kindness and perhaps leaving any other thoughts quietly tucked away. I understand not everyone can possibly agree with everyone else, but there are certain times that it’s just kinder to not say anything....
Again, it’s wonderful you are cancer free. All the very best for your future. I’ve no doubt it will be great!
