    I love the gorgeous, functional, and inuitive visuals. Everything from the design of the waveforms, to the order of the UI elements-it's visual (which I like about Serum) but a bit more intuitive than Serum. I know there's many reasons we shouldn't compare the two as they're both great on their own.
    Thanks for the solid review!

      Thanks! Indeed, the UI is a huge selling point here.

    I think maybe people are missing the point that this is an analogue modelled synth rather than your typical wave table synth like serum,
    From what I hear it sounds beautiful ,

    • @liorsilverstein9802
      @liorsilverstein9802 ปีที่แล้ว

      do you mean it comes with a hardware full of capacitors and diodes, that is analog, otherwise is in the digital range.

    • @RestorationsFOD

      @@liorsilverstein9802
      It just means that the developers have used analogue modelling to create it. It is still fully digital but it emulates vintage hardware synths

    • @liorsilverstein9802
      @liorsilverstein9802 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RestorationsFOD yeah virtual analogue, like Virus TI, Waldorf and many other great developers... The sound depends entirely on the expertise and dsp techniques of each dev, although they can claim to be inspired by the same analog hardware. Our ears are the final judge, and frankly, I think Sylenth, Diva, Virus emu, and even Vital have the nicest sound.

    • @ampersand64

      twin2 was like that. I think it's because the colorful filters are the most unique feature of this synth. I don't think FabFilterOne had filters in the middle though.

    finally some worthy soft synth for my old good Seaboard, nice! :)

    I like most of their catalog but this seems kind of boring. Would love to see a powerful synth with real character. Synth plugins tend to sound like plug ins.

      it'S absolute trash and a nightmare to use, whata dissapointment

    • @AndreiSora
      @AndreiSora  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@JohnSmith-pn2vl I actually quite like using it. It's easier for me to see what's happening at all stages here rather than in something like Pigments, which I love. It doesn't have all of the bells and whistles of Pigments, Serum, etc., but I feel that what it does it does well.

    does the presets from V02 come with it if you don't own V02?

    • @AndreiSora

      Sadly, I don't know, as I own Twin 2. Might be worth sending fabfilter an inquiry.

      you can always generate NFR license for older Fabfilter product, so you can get Twin 2 free if you buy Twin 3

    4:51 obvious case of aliasing in action (turning on "high quality"/oversampling would surely get rid of that)

    • @AndreiSora
      @AndreiSora  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Haven't focused too much on the impact of oversampling save for the terse comment on the CPU usage. But it would be interesting to see how the presets, with all of their complex modulations (including portamento, like here) would sound with and without the high quality mode engaged.

    • @AndreiSora
      @AndreiSora  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it has its use in 2023 - the industry still seems to be riding the nostalgia wave and Twin 3 is good at 70s/80s/90s subtractive synthsesis.
