I've used hornady products for years(I'm 72).recently I purchased several boxes of 7mm Rem. Mag, precision hunter, 162 gr eldx cartridges, w/ a listed velocity of 2900÷ fps. Took them to the range and chronographed them and they barely made 2800 fps. Very disappointed in very expensive ammo. No more hornady loaded ammo 4 me!
Ya'll need to get the bullets to more exact tolerances. There's up to 2 grains difference and that's not good ! Your brass is a joke at best ! Losing respect for this company because it's focused on cheap as possible to make a ton of profit. Instead of highest quality and fair profit margins !
I don’t think that’s the perception of the company at all. Their match bullets are A tier and their brass is B tier. Bullets that will do well for local match level but are not elite outside of the A tips. Brass that gets a moderate amount of reloadings and functions perfectly well but gets like 1/2 the life of premium brass. It’s all pretty solid. Their cartridges are what make the name, but their products aren’t junk.
@@Snailz5 Maybe you need to weigh and measure the bullets before you say that. Most people I know can't get more than 6 to 8 reloads on the brass. That's not good in my opinion. I like their bullets but the tolerance of them are pathetic. They aren't very far in price from the competition who are at the top quality.

Great to see Craig Boddington doing pieces like this one about Hornady. 👍🫡
Glad you enjoyed it
