Nice video Jack and thanks for the trip down memory lane. Just recently found your channel, so will need to look back on other previous videos. Stay Safe.
Always look forward to your video's Indiana Jack, as a retired trucker myself here in the UK, your video's make me think I'm back in the drivers seat, I get to see lots of great scenery of the different location you deliver to, great stuff Jack keep em coming, and stay safe.
I don't cry often but I must admit to a moist eye seeing Old Red drive off into the sunset! I have followed her and Jack from the start. Happy and safe roads ahead for Jack and his new 18 wheel partner.
I had a tear in my eye as you finished cleaning out Old Red & also as she pulled away. It is comforting to know someone that you know purchased Old Red and will do his best to keep care of her in a good environment (no road salt) as I think over-all she has been a good truck for you and 10 years is a lot of time together! …………. I guess I've been subscribed about 4 years now. The best remembrance of Old Red is when she was traveling down the road with no issues, and you narrating what was going on, etc., very similar to this video. My biggest memory is when Old Red blew a head gasket, and you ended up getting what I think was a partial rebuild which was fairly expensive, probably the most you ever spent in repairs in one interval. However, I believe over-all, Old Red was and still is a good truck! ............... It appears to me "The Swede" (sorry if the name is spelled wrong, etc.), has around 500,000 miles on it and appears to have “I” shift (automatic transmissions truck style) by looking at the logo on the shift handle and the shift handle being so close to the driver's seat. Other than that, Lord willing, I will watch your next video with anticipation. I'll be waiting for what I hope will be a complete detail on “The Swede’s” specifications and possibly a tour without invading your privacy and to find out what the future holds for you truck wise however I heard you say you were buying "The Swede". I would imagine your company is able to give you a really good price and payment arrangements on a used truck. I pray too, that this truck is as good or better mechanically as Old Red was. ............ Since you live in Florida (I think that's right) but it appears a lot of your family is in Indiana (living or deceased based on what you said via this video), I am thinking now I know why you call yourself "IndianaJack"? I also believe your mild mannerism, patience, and clean language could possibly be learned from your parents, especially your Dad, and your basic nature as a decent person. ………. As always, it's been a pleasure riding with you Jack.
Thanks for the update on Ol' Red Jack. It's good to know that she went to Minel to carry on down the road. I'm sure he will take good care of her from this point forward. He knows that you took really good care of Ol' Red and he will be able to depend on her. Thank you for another adventure otr, I've enjoyed all your productions. Take care and see you on the next one............... Jay
I'm actually from Bullitt Co. Near Shepherdsville,Ky and Unfortunately that Love's Truck Stop is a Bit "Challenged" when it comes to Customer Care! They Could've been A Lot more Professional about the Matter! My Husband and I have been there Many Times we Drive a 2019 Peterbilt Pride and Class and had to Retire Our 2015 "Bumble Bee" 💛 off the West Coast due to Miles. My Husband was Sad but Loves his New 💚 "Green With Envy" too! Glad You are Happily Driving the New One..... even if it is a "Volvo" 😉 Stay Blessed and Stay Safe!
Darn it Jack ! You made me cry as I watched you standing there as Old Red drove away. I wish you many safe and happy miles in the Swede. I enjoy your videos and look forward to the next one, so till then, thanks for the ride along.
Minel Hope you can forgive Jack for using the word demise & putting up accident pictures when all he did was sold the truck to you. All the best in your endeavor bro.
Great video.I remember when I first watched you tube I was looking for trucking videos and saw you and ole red and have been watching your videos ever since then.👍👍
Dear Jack. I cannot understand how you feel about 'old Red'. A car, with you for such a long Time, is like a familymember. Counties Mile, Horus and sceens. Landscapes and Time flying by while driving. Good luck to old Red and to you. Keep in trucking. We love you both.
Gotta be tough letting go of Old Red after all the years you spent with her and the money she made for you. A lot of history between you two and fond memories that’ll never be forgotten. You were saddened watching the new owner drive off with Old Red. I felt the same with one of my trucks. The good thing is you know who adopted her. :) Keep on truckin’ Indiana.
I liked the video where you took Ole Red to a hole in the wall shop to repair something in the engine area and they took almost a week to complete the job. Just shows how well you did care for her all these years.
As a Tire Care Manager at a Love's Travel Stop, I apologize for the problems you seem to experience with Tire Pass. I can assure you that you wouldn't be made to back out of the Tire Pass lane if my system went down and you still needed fuel. And I would route you to my tire shop to have your tire pressure checked in the event of a Tire Pass failure.
Thank you very much for commenting. I'm very disappointed with the whole Loves Tire Pass project. Except for the one by my house which seems to work quite well. I only stopped at that one again so they could redeem themselves but that did not work. I will continue checking my own tires but we'll keep a a watchful eye on what Love's is doing to try to improve theirs.
indianajacktrucker we did go thru an upgrade this year to the entire system which is supposed to be less buggy and more reliable. My lane has been closed off since Mid-April due to having a large hole in the ground on the exit side of the lane where some of my underground storage tanks are located, as well as having a shower/laundry addition that is almost done.
Robert: Good of you to speak up regarding your customer service. You want and need guys like Jack as customers. Maybe make him an offer he can't refuse on his next tire needs. To have him back would be a win-win; good for both of you. Besides that, he'll likely be a free and credible ad for you in his next vid after the good customer service which might bring in more business.
Robert Mobley its nice to see a Love's manager that cares. I know that guys hands are tied at times with big companies, but it doesn't give them a excuse to throw service to the wind and be rude. I've been there and it took a while to learn, but I found if you try and do what you can it makes things and the day better.
Robert Mobley It's nice to see a loves associate speaking out about it. Its happens more than you think though. I've been through it a few times where I tried to get a tirepass and the system was down and they wouldn't let me fuel there. One time had to blind back out the tirepass lane.
You deliver them to the Walmart DC, and I pick up my Loads from the DC and drop them off to the stores. Indiana jack the company I’m running for now is Werner. I’m doing OTR. But I still have the opportunity to sit down every evening and watch your videos. You were one of five people that got me interested in becoming an over the road truck driver. I thank you, it is definitely an experience. I am on day 12 of solo driver, I just left my trainers truck in which I was on for six weeks. And I too went the route you are on van driver.
Thanks Jack! have-not posted in a long time. But when I saw you parting with the old girl it broke my heart! You might remember me as saying?. As always thanks for making this film and I support this site> ~M~ NJ 07922 I will say 73 and clear on my end. I will be back!!!
Hey Jack...if you ever make it up to south central Connecticut ( I-91 corridor between New Haven and Hartford) let me know! I'll treat you to breakfast/lunch/dinner,or just coffee, whatever the case may be,and we can chew the fat on truckin' and life in general :-)
Another great video Jack! Perhaps someone has asked before, but now that you are driving a reefer who picks up the tab for the reefer fuel? Is it built into your delivery payment received. Being a straight rig/box reefer for a dairy operation here in central Upstate New York, naturally the dairy operation covers mine when delivering their products. Safe travels!
Kind of a tear jerker Jack.LOL. Seeing Old Red drive away. But as Tracy Lawrence sings, "Time Marches On". "The Swede", sounds good and the I shift seems to shift as smooth as a watermelon. Also, It's a nice looking truck. I'm sure us riders will enjoy her as much as you do. Another comfortable money maker. Thank you for another super adventure. Keep the shiny side up.
Great video about old red. I have been watching your videos for some time now and remember all the truck repairs you went through. Like you said though, time to move on.
I really enjoyed my Volvo when I started driving back in 2000. It was very user driver friendly. Visibility was excellent ride was excellent the fuel mileage was awesome. Driven lots of other makes since still prefer a Volvo. Enjoy your videos since I got out of trucking about eight years ago now I work in a reefer shop repairing reefers
Nice Ride along Mr.Jack. you were in my neck of the woods picking up those mellons in Gainesville, Fla. Only a few hrs.North of my home in Shadyhills,Fl.. I wish you a happy new year in 2020.happy to know your uncle was a preacher.Amen.I pray a hedge of protection around you as you travel the highways of this land we call USA.May your new year be prosperous beyond measure.
hey jack.. what churches did your uncle preach at ? when i was a kid years ago we had a pastor whos name was summerfield ..just wondered if it was the same person.. thanks jack..for great trucking vids....O and yes im in indiana .. live here sence i was about 7 years old.. darn... thats 40 years ago..lol
sad to see Old Red leave the series but a new adventure starts with The Swede, may she serve you as well as Old Red did over the years. Looking forward to the introduction to The Swede . Keep up the excellent videos Jack
Nice video. They keep getting better and better; especially in the production. Great job! ...and thank you for representing CHRIST. I can see that you carry HIM wherever you go. Blessings to you and yours!
Hi Jack, glad to see Old Red is going to a good home. I had to hand back a Volvo to the dealer this week, an XC60 not a truck. End of lease. Got an XC90 now. Looking forward to seeing more of The Swede :) Take care Drew
So glad it is not as dramatic as the thumbnail picture. I actually felt sick when i saw that and worried about whether you got in a wreck and were injured.
santiago ,yes but no,you are considered immigrant if you come here legally an get citizenship,if they are here for work, fine, but you have to follow the laws! compadre.
Hello Mr Jack hope you are likening the new truck and a different trailer so far I got to meet one of my you tube trucker heroes the other day and got on you tube Mr Jack hope everything is going is going great for you send some of THAT rain to Paris Texas until next time be safe out there on your travels from Paris Texas God bless you
When you come through Jacksonville FL, Tom Nehl cleans the DPF and DOC for under $500. That does not include labor to remove/reinstall. Best part is you can give them yours as a core and they have other units cleaned ready to go if you do not have the time to wait for yours. They have the oven and air knife to clean these.
Hi I am a big fan of you...Question for you.... is your new truck also CUMMINS powered ? big fan of cummins as well hope you get lots of mileage from the new truck
So Jack, tell us how You really feel about the i-shift conversion in the Swede now after You’ve been driving that for a while compared to Ol’Red’s manual??
Jack, been a LONG time fan. Sad to see Old Red go. But I wish you the best of luck with the new truck. Please make a video about why you are pulling a reefer. Did you turn in your rental trailer?
I didn’t have a dry eye one watching Ole Red drive off with Jack Waving goodbye. My favorite memory was when I got to actually meet Jack in Ontario, CA, and got to see in person Ole Red. Great tribute to a Great truck
Best of luck with the Swede Jack. We have been running the I-shift box in Europe for years and mainly trouble free. The software is very intelligent and I believe you will find it is a dream to operate. Again, best of luck. Love your videos. Cheers from IRELAND. 👍
Glad you have an upgrade in equipment. Old Red was a great truck and I’m sure Swede will be just as great. I’m looking forward to hear about her and all of her features. Be safe.
After watching your videos for some time now I admit I felt sad the moment you said you were selling Old Red especially after you pulled out the log book and showed the inside after you cleaned her out. She doesn't feel like just a truck or a piece of equipment but rather a member of the family. So good luck to Old Red as she lives on and rolls on and keeps on truckin..... 😀
Congrats on the newer truck. Was the dry box trailer rental costs part of the reason for the change? I know in other videos you were looking to buy a trailer.
Indiana Jack just caught up with you today it's the 16th of November 2019 first time I ever saw one of your videos I drove for 28 years and enjoyed it loved it but health reasons in an accident ended my career driving went by bootlegger on the old Squawk Box go read I had a truck named Ol Red she was a 1979 Transtar to International cabover that's been long time ago buddy never did never was an owner operator always company driver but make good money go for good people I'll be back and see more of your videos threes Happy Trails my friend
Hi Jack sorryto here you have sold old read but she was a good truck for you ,, i see your have got another Volvo and a auto this time, anyway how long you been running a Refer ( Frdge ) Trailer , thougt you had a dry van ?? Good luck from the uk Martin. Uk trucker.
06:00 - Your DPF doesn't self-clean? Seems an odd way of doing things. In fact, my RAM 1500 had a regen this morning, went from 79% down to 8%, took all of about 10 minutes. Or is the service you describe more along the lines of, "I'm going to the dentist to have my teeth cleaned. Only $1,000!" despite brushing every day.
Volvo's do not die I got a friend in FL who logged a million miles with his, His company bought the truck and gave him another Volvo one of the newer models and so far is nearing 30 000 miles and both trucks had and still does have its original engine!!
there use to be a place in Harding, Idaho that sold Thermoblades for trucks. now i hear of a company based in Canada, that make em. i never got the chance to use them, but i hear they work great in the winter, don't even have to run defrost, but i ran defrost just to keep the regular blades warm and keeping my windows free
Old red was a good friend to you nothing wrong with being sentimental about red. Been there done that so you not alone. When I got rid of my truck I had for close to 10 years I had tears and still miss her.
I almost wished I hadn't watched this episode. 😥 When you have a reliable vehicle that you put a lot of time and love into and got a lot of pride and reliability and dependability in return, it is so hard to turn it over to another person. I've gone thru potential owners to get to the right one before selling, also. I've got a 2003 QuadraSteer truck that is all-wheel steering. I have a big shop, and room to keep it, and just can't sell it. I drive it a little every so often. But, I don't think I'll ever sell it. If you're happy with who bought old Red, and it seems to be the case, that's all that's important. Be careful on your travels 🙏✌💛😊
Nice video Jack and thanks for the trip down memory lane. Just recently found your channel, so will need to look back on other previous videos. Stay Safe.
Jack this is awesome, sad to see red go but its a new adventure for you. Thank you for being an inspiration for me to be a trucker.

Thanks for the update!!! Can’t wait to see a walk around tour of your new rig!!! So long Ol’ Red
Just come across your video by accident.. I must say you have a good structure and makes me want to watch more.
Thanks for the vid Jack. Sad to see ol' red go but happy to see you have a new truck and no more clutching!! Looking forward to future adventures.

One of my favorite memories in Red was the moment you hit 1,000,000 miles.
Darn it Jack ! You made me cry as I watched you standing there as Old Red drove away. I wish you many safe and happy miles in the Swede. I enjoy your videos and look forward to the next one, so till then, thanks for the ride along.
Goodbye Ole Red, thanks for the many miles we rode together on TH-cam. Good luck with you new truck I hope you have many successful and safe miles
Great video jack. I’m glad I get to own a piece of the history of this channel :)
Minel Fazlic Please take care of her. A lot of good memories riding with Jack & Old Red.
She'll take care of you. And still a fine looking rig. :)
Minel Hope you can forgive Jack for using the word demise & putting up accident pictures when all he did was sold the truck to you. All the best in your endeavor bro.
Minel, My hopes are that we get to continue to see both You and Ol’Red on the road together and some nice video footage of it here on TH-cam!👍🏽😉
Great video.I remember when I first watched you tube I was looking for trucking videos and saw you and ole red and have been watching your videos ever since then.👍👍

Totally understand how you feel there. You developed a bond like a friend, she has kept you safe.
great video. It's hard to give up something you love, especially a big rig like yours.
Thanks Jack for the update. Sure do understand the sad departure when you said your good bye. Now on to new adventures with swede. Stay safe.
As a Tire Care Manager at a Love's Travel Stop, I apologize for the problems you seem to experience with Tire Pass. I can assure you that you wouldn't be made to back out of the Tire Pass lane if my system went down and you still needed fuel. indianajacktrucker we did go thru an upgrade this year to the entire system which is supposed to be less buggy and more reliable. It's nice to see a loves associate speaking out about it. Its happens more than you think though. I've been through it a few times where I tried to get a tirepass and the system was down and they wouldn't let me fuel there. One time had to blind back out the tirepass lane.
So what were the final statistics on Old Red? Date purchased/date sold, miles when purchased/miles when sold, anything else you may remember. Thanks
Indiana Jack, i notice you are doing reefer loads, what happened to you van trailer? did you sell it too?
About that diesel particulate filter, is that used in conjunction with a DEF system or was DPF the standard prior to the introduction of DEF?
DPF= Diesel Particulate Filter
DEF= Diesel Exhaust Fluid
Both part of the same system..
@@Edenssunlight Tier 3 systems did not use DEF just had a DOC teamed with a DPF.
Does the Volvo D13 engine have good power? Does it pull ad good as the Cummins you had in ole red?
Retired Driver Always a Pleasure to Listen to you jack keep it up
jack what are you going to call your new truck.love your videos you make driving long haul look easy. stay safe out on the crazy roads
Hey Jack...if you ever make it up to south central Connecticut ( I-91 corridor between New Haven and Hartford) let me know! I'll treat you to breakfast/lunch/dinner,or just coffee, whatever the case may be,and we can chew the fat on truckin' and life in general :-)

sad to see Old Red leave the series but a new adventure starts with The Swede, may she serve you as well as Old Red did over the years. Looking forward to the introduction to The Swede . Keep up the excellent videos Jack
Who’s cutting onions in here??? Absolutely great tribute to old red.

How does a tire pass work for big trucks, hello from TX
Hi Jack, How many miles did big red have on it when you sold it and how many miles did you put on it. Thanks God Bless
Looking forward to seeing more of The Swede :)
Take care
Drew
How is it with old red nowadays, have you heard anything about her?
So what's the name of your newer truck? What year is she? Maybe a little tour?
So glad it is not as dramatic as the thumbnail picture. I actually felt sick when i saw that and worried about whether you got in a wreck and were injured.
Look at those hard working guys, they don’t complain they’re just smiling while working what else can you ask for
Phil Konnors I knew there was going to a few like you filled with hate! But it doesn’t matter they’re doing their thing!
Erwin Schrödinger ok if you say so! 👍I’ll ask them to leave!
Erwin Schrödinger by the way your last name is very very stupid and it sounds like you were an immigrant at one point!
santiago ,yes but no,you are considered immigrant if you come here legally an get citizenship,if they are here for work, fine, but you have to follow the laws! compadre.
skid marks what laws even people born here break them so what’s the point!
What year is your trailer Indiana Jack?where did you get it from?
Sad to see her go. Glad you like the new truck!
When do we get a your of the new truck?
Thanks for the videos. just curious why did you go to the reefer side?
Hello Mr Jack hope you are likening the new truck and a different trailer so far I got to meet one of my you tube trucker heroes the other day and got on you tube Mr Jack hope everything is going is going great for you send some of THAT rain to Paris Texas until next time be safe out there on your travels from Paris Texas God bless you
I can understand being sentimental. You spent probably 75% of your past 10 years with Old Red. God be with you and your new adventures.
So is getting the DPF cleaned a standard maintenance item? I thought the regen process was all that was ever needed.
Hi I am a big fan of you...Question for you.... is your new truck also CUMMINS powered ? big fan of cummins as well
hope you get lots of mileage from the new truck
Hello Indiana Jack what kind of truck you got now
So Jack, tell us how You really feel about the i-shift conversion in the Swede now after You’ve been driving that for a while compared to Ol’Red’s manual??
Jack, been a LONG time fan. Sad to see Old Red go. But I wish you the best of luck with the new truck. Please make a video about why you are pulling a reefer. Did you turn in your rental trailer?

Cool video !! Also I saw the new VOLVO 🤟🏼😎🤟🏼. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Best of luck with the Swede Jack. We have been running the I-shift box in Europe for years and mainly trouble free. The software is very intelligent and I believe you will find it is a dream to operate. Again, best of luck. Love your videos. Cheers from IRELAND. 👍
When I was a security guard ages ago I recall an incident I had to write down in detail about a forklift that quit working into a reefer trailer.
Glad you have an upgrade in equipment. Old Red was a great truck and I’m sure Swede will be just as great. I’m looking forward to hear about her and all of her features. Be safe.
Same truck for 10 years, wow. As a company driver I never had the same truck that long.
You make old trucks sound like old boats. I know there are more fond memories of an old truck than there are drivers.
I love how they take a school bus and make it into a water melon hauler.
What power is in the Swede?? How are you liking the I- drive??
I can't recall a favorite memory of old red, but I do remember all the adventures on the West Coast she had. I enjoyed watching those videos as well!
Hi Jack sorryto here you have sold old read but she was a good truck for you ,, i see your have got another Volvo and a auto this time, anyway how long you been running a Refer ( Frdge ) Trailer , thougt you had a dry van ?? Good luck from the uk Martin. Uk trucker.
Awesome videos of late Jack.
Everybody loves fresh produce. Yum.
Don't mind me if I call her The Old Swede.
She already has 500k miles. Haha.
That was nice watching ol Red drive off. It's never easy......
Tire pass must be something that has come since I got off the road in 2010. What is it?
06:00 - Your DPF doesn't self-clean? Seems an odd way of doing things. In fact, my RAM 1500 had a regen this morning, went from 79% down to 8%, took all of about 10 minutes. Or is the service you describe more along the lines of, "I'm going to the dentist to have my teeth cleaned. Only $1,000!" despite brushing every day.
Aw !
Old Red has been great for you.
Fun to see that she found a great new home, with a fan.
Volvo's do not die I got a friend in FL who logged a million miles with his, His company bought the truck and gave him another Volvo one of the newer models and so far is nearing 30 000 miles and both trucks had and still does have its original engine!!
How much did you sale old red for?
How far is this from Rensalear Indiana?
Jack I too will miss Old Red. Be safe and God Bless a long time listener.
there use to be a place in Harding, Idaho that sold Thermoblades for trucks. now i hear of a company based in Canada, that make em. i never got the chance to use them, but i hear they work great in the winter, don't even have to run defrost, but i ran defrost just to keep the regular blades warm and keeping my windows free
May have missed it, but, what year is your present truck? How do you like the I-Shift? Love your videos
Old red was a good friend to you nothing wrong with being sentimental about red. Been there done that so you not alone. When I got rid of my truck I had for close to 10 years I had tears and still miss her.
Nice videos! Congratulations!
How many mile did ol red have on her when you retired her ?? I see your newer truck already has 500,000.. Another 10 years with this one ?
Hello Jack
if you ever close to Fenton, MO stop by CIT shop they charge about 500 for cleaning the DPF filter bake and clean
Working at a Mack dealership. Sister company to Volvo. To bake the dpf we charge 600 plus gaskets. I've seen baking bills 750-800.
What city are you in and maybe I will bring my truck there if you are close?
Great Video. I like Stormy Night Video best. Love see a other one. Wait until you pass Ole Red on road that going be a tough one on you.
I almost wished I hadn't watched this episode. 😥
When you have a reliable vehicle that you put a lot of time and love into and got a lot of pride and reliability and dependability in return, it is so hard to turn it over to another person.
