Excellent review , plus so happy to see heres a man who has firearms that use bullets but also appreciates the Air Rifle !!! History "Louis and Clark" ! Peace .
My bought me an RWS air rifle for my birthday 16 years ago. My dad initially picked up a RWS Model 34 @1000 FPS. When he was sighting it in, he noticed that it was very loud and was punching holes through the 1/2" redwood fence. Then the cops showed up at his front door and said a neighbor called and was concerned that someone was shooting at their house. The cops did not give my dad any grief, but he took it back for a Model 24 @700-750 FPS. I still use that rifle today.
Man did you get a SMOKEN deal on that thing. I am envious I to have a bunch of rifles both hunting rifles, Air rifles both springer and PCP Right now my favorite is my Weihrauch HW77K but the RWS 54 and the Diana 460 magnum are on my very short list. Thanks for posting and congrats on catching that deal.
I find side levers far superior over under levers or break barrels, purely because of the ability to cock the rifle whilst prone. Furthermore, I always think that break barrels cannot be as accurate as fixed barrels utilising the other cocking methods, simply due to the fact that the barrel will rarely go back to the precise position as it was in before cocking. Big up air rifles man, that's all we can get over here in the UK without license
Pellet guns are awesome, really catching on here in the US. They are great for small game. .25 cal or .357 cal pellets are beasts. For my purposes, small .177 cal is quiet and very effective.
Hello Lemony. No matter how good designed is the scope for springers or how much expensive it is you NEED a scope base with anti recoil system. I have the airking 54 with Hawk 3-9x40 Airmax and a SPORTSMATCH DAMPA DM60 base for the scope that eliminates the recoil. Its same system as airking has but you still need a base like that so you can keep you scope healthy. The airmax is especially designed for springers but again even if you pay a dozen of thousands for the best scope ever it still needs a recoil ellimination base or else sooner or later problems will start. So you really need to invest in a good base.
Good review. I own a Weihrauch HW77k and HW80k and are good guns but like the look of those RWS Diana's, especially the models 52, 54 and 56. Expensive but look solidly built.
Standard springers are just as accurate it's just very difficult to get the hang of it. That said, these are the dream rifles for me. I doubt I will ever be able to afford one. I want a. 22 model though.
My point is that the notion that this can be used in an area with nearby neighbors is misleading. The nearest neighbors behind this house were about 150 yards away, but they still called the cops over the 34. A .22LR with 750 FPS velocity CB caps is far quieter than even a 1000FPS .177 air rifle. The 54 is a beautiful pellet rifle, but let's not pretend it's much quieter than a .22 firing rounds at 1000-1100fps. In the suburbs, go for 700-750 FPS if you don't want to be noticed.
Right up front I know a few will scoff at this but the BSA AR27x32 AIR RIFLE SCOPE was recommended to me for my HW77K and I gotta say I love it and would recommend it in a heartbeat. In fact I have removed and replaced the scopes from a few of my other rifles and replaced them with these. I've found that I can switch from gun to gun more easily due to not having to re familiarize myself with each scope. I know some EXPERTS are going to laugh at that but what ever.
I ended up trading it in it had one problem after another, the rifle is great so I put a Center scope on it; nice scope I found it on line on sale sometime ago. Sorry no help
@ATF6281914 wiegh gain, man getting to the gym has been hard. Works been killing me, I should get in the gym again in about a month or so. Then perfection will be the goal
They are darn heavy but there really is no equivlent for these, they are like tanks! I put a Leupold VX-3 EFR Air Rifle scope on it (yes a VX-3 that was an air rifle scope, even marked as such!). 6.5-20x40mm. You need more scope with a pellet pusher I have found. Nice thing is it is so cheap and accurate to shoot. Change pellets up and see what works. Have over 75 different tin of pellets I am still testing what works best. What works for you all?!?
The Weihrauch HW77K is very nice, and yes I had to pick this thing up. Some made comments as it was dry fired allot as a demo ok, I have a upgrade spring rebuild kit that I just bought that Ive been to lazy to put in. I was an expert on these things a year ago, but you know how that goes, work, surgery, selling knives, but I shot it yesterday and at 45 yards I can punch a hole right though a quarter, this thing hits hard!
Sweet rifle, and man is it quiet. I have one chambered for 22 on order. I love to shoot, I just don't like having to drive miles to do it. You can shoot these in your yard or house.
I Bought this gun a few months ago, this and the 56th air hunter both at .22 caliber. Amazing air rifles, absolutely LOVE THEM...scary accurate, quality, beautiful wood stock and high quality. Germans make a lot of good shit
I got a Benjamin with a nitrogen cylinder. I have only put about 10-20 pellets through it. I do want to get it set up to do at least 50 yard shots with.
@TheEnglishRedneck45 As you said " 'vaild reason" I'm not a farmer or gamekeeper. Even our Olympic shooting team has to train abroad from what i heard.
I really envy you guys who have yard space for this hobby. Here in the city I'm pretty much limited to shooting at my wife's feet and the neighbors cable box.
Nice review, awesome gun. I've always thought an air rifle would be perfect for food collection in an emergency. I'm always surprized when people say otherwise. I have a video on my Gamo 440, and I stand by it 100%. Of course, I'd give it up for a high power RWS in a heartbeat...lol
please man help me, i have a rws model 52 but i don't know anything about air rifles and i put the lever FULL back and now i cannot move it! because is stuck, what can i do to fix it? thanks
@Doggorunning If only I were on the east coast I would be on my way as we speak. Feel free to come to the west coast whenever you want :) How's the weight gain dealio going???
jgo0917 lol did I say that must have been confused with my rimfire. My teleprompter was down so I was winging it, those steel tip pellets do put a damaging dent in my pellet target but they wont make it through at 50 yards like I said in the video
Rws 48 owner. Yep the rws scopes dont last. I bought the niko. efrs the glass and reticle are the worst that i have ever seen on a nikon. The scope is holding up ok though. the point of aim does shift a little. Might buy the hawker sidewinder next.
i know air rifles but what i dont know is, what means rws ? i only know the diana 54 airking, is the rws 54 a look a like of the diana ? They copies the diana ? or is rws a part of diana ? somebody clear this up for me please
@8824snipe It is reported to be 'easier' for ex-military/law enforcement to get granted a license over average joe, but that is not saying much! If you don't have a 'vaild reason' to own a specific firearm, then I can't see how it could be easier for you, though some say it is.
Its not know for being super quiet but I think your neighbors were being assholes or you were shooting at their house. I know when I was 16 I would probably shoot their house accidently …. LOL
sure then after you get the pcp then you need a scuba tank and a way to fill it. I can do all the small game hunting I could want to do with a springer. The only real advantage pcps offer is the ability to hunt big game.
PBA pellets are utterly worthless and also not good for your air rifle as they are far too lite and the piston will slam hard against the end of the chamber, not to mention you want your pellets traveling right in between 800-900fps that is where you get both the best performance and accuracy. Anytime an air rifle pellet breaks the sound barrier you lose accuracy and that is the main attribute about air rifles is supreme accuracy. With my FWB 124D I can get 840fps and put 5 shots under a dime at 50 yards. it is also extremely quiet, if you are standing more than 20 yards away you can not even hear it at all, just hear the pellet whiz by or hear the pellet hit.
Memang bagus senapan angin merk Diana saya juga pengemar senapan diana yg model sport keras seksli pernah saya coba nembak botol kartindeng botol tetsebut tidak peca tapi lobang tembus, saya sendiri sampai heran kenapa saya nembak botol tsb kok kena setelah saya lihat ternyata lobang tembus
i won't take ah chance n breaking spring r other damage 4 ego by shoot n 1 n my air king. since i shoot targets wth all my guns 1st thing i ever learned; try not 2 damage pellets while still n can. air king'll will out perform any spring gun n the world that cost less than $3000 i'll tell ya, these boys that make video's n guns - need 2 sit dwn n watch other video's so's crude video's stop feel n like finger bait

Great gun and I have one. FYI for those that may not know. Springers can be hard on scopes. Make sure and purchase one designed for them.

I used to have this Air Rifle many years ago. VERY powerful air gun.

Me being me I have all custom inners to the pellet rifle, when I get time I will be upgrading everything on the inside.
@ATF6281914 yes you can :)
I have a model 48 .22 and agree. Love it. It kills yard pests easily and quietly.
The RWS is the most accurate but its HEAVY! I would be interested to see how those shoot and handle
Right up front I know a few will scoff at this but the BSA AR27x32 AIR RIFLE SCOPE was recommended to me for my HW77K and I gotta say I love it and would recommend it in a heartbeat. These are great in the event of SHTF, Doves with gravy MMMMM so good
@2:17 The rifle isn't made to shoot BBs. Don't load it with BBs!!!!
Good catch lol thx..... yea we all know I think? No maybe not...good catch
I have a German original DIana model 54, so how does it differ from RWS? Is RWS also made in Germany?
I'm looking at getting the 54. Do you still like the .177 cal or would you recommend the .22 for pest control. Thanks
.177 generally more accurate and ammo is a lot cheaper
@@jackh.3772 Thanks! I forgot ever asking this question 10 years ago.
@@knifesketch101 wait you still use a 10+ year old account??? That’s dedication right there
@TheEnglishRedneck45 As you said " 'vaild reason" I'm not a farmer or gamekeeper. Even our Olympic shooting team has to train abroad from what i heard.
@8824snipe Yeah, spot on. Our Olympic pistol team has had to train abroad ever since the 1997 ban.
If you are still looking for a scope mount you can get them from pyramid air. I hope this helps.

@COOLBLUEGAZOO yea I was going for sexy

Rad gun and awesome shooting, Chris! Can I come over and play?
I have one I bought on Saturday, it is very strong so far not I use the speed of the bullet ...?
Yeah, that may be. Also, I'm in the bay area, so people tend to be very uptight about even the slightest noises. =P
@Doggorunning
If only I were on the east coast I would be on my way as we speak. Feel free to come to the west coast whenever you want :)
How's the weight gain dealio going???
T 05
Wait, why the safety is not set automatically, my diana it's on safe mode when I put the pellet...
No it's automatic have to push it in before firing, I just have fast fingers
Oh, plz excuse me. :) I have to say you are indeed fast.
Hey man, I might have missed it,
What scope you have on that bad boy?
it was terrible dont remember but the new one is a Leupold scope that seems to be real tough so far. Still in storage, I miss it!
OK, I want one! Thumb up.
I want to see you shoot 1\4 inch steel @ 50 yards like you said
jgo0917 lol did I say that must have been confused with my rimfire. My teleprompter was down so I was winging it, those steel tip pellets do put a damaging dent in my pellet target but they wont make it through at 50 yards like I said in the video
What scope do you use on this airrifle?
Looks like a real firearm, of the way it looks. Cool.
Eric Deplata they are a real firearm, still powered by expanding gas
Hi this 54 is using T05 or T06?
I love your review! Which scope is best for this rail gun? I heard it's a scope eater....Cheers
not sure really I have a Center Point love it
the one in the video was eaten in an hour
Rws 48 owner. Yep the rws scopes dont last. I bought the niko. efrs the glass and reticle are the worst that i have ever seen on a nikon. The scope is holding up ok though. the point of aim does shift a little. Might buy the hawker sidewinder next.

No copies. Companies buy and sell manufacturers. So the name changes.
Dam, contact Pyramyd Air they are big on TH-cam and one of the largest Air Gun sources, let me know if they help you fix your problem.
