Thanks! Glad you found it helpful! These newer fakes seem to be better quality than older ones, but traditionally, fakes only seem to last a few years, saves go corrupt, and frequently there are parts of the games that you can't get past.
Just looking at the pins should be easy, the fake is bright and solid. Why would anyone fake these, there are so many more expensive games to choose from.

these days, if someone doesnt allow you to look at the board inside, just pass. Unless you dont care, realistically they work just fine and technically theres no reason to own them other than for the "authentic feel" But like in the video usually the bootlegs have some pretty bad labels, which i care about. Ive seen some bootleg'd Uninvited games where the label is weirdly red tinted.

usually they can be worse, due to how cheap they are. Sometimes they just dont hold saves for example
