This was a fun movie to watch, good actors, all that. But ONCE is enough. Like Total Recall, this movie should NOT be remade. Period.

It was never to be. That could of had one HELL'UVA a script. Potential is through the ceiling...What a movie that could have been. Clints' competition.

A fantastic 80s movie, I was 19 back in 1989, my father & mother went to see this flick at a local cinema, my father loved the movie so much he took me to see it a few days later, I couldn't get enough of it and waited patiently for the video rental release, I've bought it on every format since, I now have it on 4K disc, it looks amazing! Awesome movie from my youth, don't make them like this anymore, the remake will be interesting but I doubt it will come close to this gem. Swayze was excellent in this, as was the rest of the cast. Thanks for the video, it took me on a trip down memory lane..."I thought you'd be bigger?!"...Lol. Cheers

As much as I like Jake G, NO ONE SHOULD TOUCH THIS FOR A REMAKE and no one will compare to Patrick in the lead role! I don’t think I could ever watch any remake of this iconic movie the original is one of my all time fave’s. 2 movies that should never be re-made, ROADHOUSE and THE LOST BOYS !!

Watched this movie well over a 100 times growing up!
Definitely do not remake, this is a classic film and no one will fit Patricks part especially his good rugged looks and charm, also Jeff Healy and his amazing talent, leave things be.

They did a remake of Point Break in 2015 which was of course terrible and not the same as the original
And, to add another Swayze classic, there should have been only one Red Dawn. That remake some years back was idiotically bad, the apotheosis of cinematic crap.

It'll suck just like most of the other remakes. I won't waste my time with it. Just an FYI to Hollywood- your ratings are dropping for 2 reasons. First- you're not creating anything original anymore, it's all remakes. Second- you make movies within today's wokeism, and they suck. I went to movies for an escape. Not to have real life shoved in my face.

Hollywood actually had a booming year last year and was up 64% over 2021...total amount worldwide was 7.3 billion dollars. Ratings aren't dropping at all

I agree that it shouldn’t be remade. The cast had a chemistry that just can’t be duplicated. Patrick Swayze, Sam Elliot and Ben Gazarra are also one of a kind actors.
Fun fact: Marshall Teague played the pilot of the Space Shuttle that crashes in Armageddon. Famous line: “Houston, this is a Kickass ride!”.

I imagine a lot of musicians were first drawn to this movie due to the role of Jeff Healey. What a phenomenal and unique musician he was!
His cover of "While my guitar gently weeps" is jaw dropping..
When "See The Light" came out in the mid-late 80s. I bought that record. I used to sing "Angel Eyes" to relieve the singer for a little break. People liked it, and would ask who it was. He was defiantly inspirational.
Roadhouse was my first experience of Jeff, had no idea he was a real musician thought he was just another actor. Went down local record store and saw one of his albums, was hooked from the start
As a guitar player of 30+ years. I’ve tried to play on my lap just to see…and it’s pretty difficult. The human mind is amazing how it adapts.

Some movies can be remade and some not roadhouse is one of them not to be remade don't think it's a good idea
Absolutely NO on any remake, re-boot, re-imagine, re-anything on this film. It is perfect as it is.
Come up with NEW scripts and ideas. “Green-light” those scripts that are a bit different, riskier. Not everything green-lit has to be a “sure thing”.

These modern actors need to create their own art and NOT touch classics like Road House. I know they’re running short on ideas and creativity but no modern day actor can fill Patrick Swayze’s shoes! NOT ONE! A remake will be a huge waste of money and an horrid failure at the box office. I think it’s safe to say that Hollywood’s glory days are pretty much behind them.

The "remake" doesn't have anything in common with the original except the name Road House and Dalton's last name, I watched it earlier today.

You forgot Tiny Ron. The 7 foot tall guy in Brad Wesley's gang. He died in Nov. 2019 just one week after turning 72 years old.
