I was an official Head Mod for Animalia, and as former staff I have a lot of information about this game and its devs/current staff. First of all, the game advertised on steam looks far better than the game you actually buy.
A lot of the time, the updates are missing information, or are completely wrong. On top of that, the devs have been caught selling pre-release donator exclusive skins and pocketing the money.
To counter this, they decided to reopen donations for those same exclusive skins so that all the allegations against them wouldn’t matter anymore. Where did all the previous donation money go you might ask. Well the devs had spent a chunk of it on action figures that never saw the light of day, and the rest of the money who knows where it went. All the assets in game are free assets, none of them are custom-made by any of the developers.
The main developer banned me from the discord after I quit being official staff, to prevent me from exposing their scamming and shady behaviour, considering all the screenshots I have of the conversations all the old staff had in the staff chat of the things the devs were and weren’t doing. While I doubt many people will see my review, I hope some do, and avoid supporting this game and its developers. I won’t even go over the fact that each dlc costs almost as much as the base game costs and the dlcs barely contain any content… that’s plain to see even from someone who doesn’t own the game. -critter

ah i knew this game was too good to be true, although i should've known better, it definitely looked and felt like an asset ripped game, i was just trying to remain optimistic because it was at least /somewhat/ fun to play. shame, i think it's too late for me to get a refund

Good that the devs are getting some major updates in and fixing game breaking bugs, glad you played the leopard for the update because of the fixed climbing which is great for ambushing and escaping massive clans and mixpackers because a few animals wont take you down my man 🙌

Yea I agree! Only bad thing is the main server I’m on (so let cause it’s the only one I see players on) has rules that when you’re hunting, being hunted, or bleeding as a leopard you can’t climb trees which I think defeats the purpose of being a leopard

My favorite moment of this video was the battle with the lioness with her 2 cubs that essentially went "I can literally make another one RIGHT NOW. Idc about the one you ate." 💀🤚🏾

Absolutely love this video amazing as always I’m so happy I discovered this channel! These videos make me want to play simulation survival games, but I see so many bad reviews for this one as well as the Isle. Is there not any games like this that AREN'T riddled with issues? Genuinely asking for recommendations
Right now gameplay wise the best would probably be beasts of Bermuda ever since it’s new map was released, not as realistic or as high graphics but definitely the most fun now (the new map has alot of optimization issues but it’s getting worked on)
And yeah most of the games in the animal survival genre have some sort of game ruining flaw, hopefully it’ll change

I would definitely not suggest it, not until it’s closer to being completed. The game gets boring quickly and has no goals.

I used to trash this game a little because it was in such a sorry state, but it's really improved a ton. The animations are acceptable, graphics look nice but most of all that awful lag is gone. Hope they keep this up.
