These fires popping up around the Cascades are do to hot spots from magna being pushed up from the pressure of the subduction plate movement... Right now I'm watching the Salem area, south east Silverton to be exactly... Zoom earth the area and search July 1up to current, in thermal mode skamania fire starts on the third I was watching that flare up for two weeks before it finally ignited and when I called in the Boulder Creek fire I was watching, I confirmed that the Boulder Creek and Skamania fires were volcanic and the forestry was in direct contact with geologist and they were aware of the cause and they are concentrating on evacuation efforts... But there is no drought... We had record low highs and hail storms this June. And just now getting may weather... These fires pop up and die right back down, going from Zero contained to full extinguished the same day sometimes.

Having said that however, I felt this report was very inadequate as it didn't address why the fires were caused beyond saying lightening and human activities cause most fires. That is hardly exact as the title states that it would indicate in the video.

      Most of our fires start from lightening. And yes, some are human caused..many people still have campfires even though banned and cigarette butts out windows, all terrain vehicles in the backcountry, even broken glass on the ground, many reasons all the time. When it’s super dry which is every August and September… it’s extremely dry and fires start very easily.

    In South Africa it’s the landowners duty in all rural areas to stop fires there’s NO rural firefighters. I witnessed one with my own eyes. The farmers come together with their utes and all workers and rags they hit the flames no water or heavy equipment just brains and brawn. This fire was in a mountainous area near our home and it took them a whole afternoon and evening but they put it out. This is the only way to stop a fire quickly. By the time firefighters from afar gets to a fire it would have spread into a much bigger area and impossible to stop until burnt out. Stopping a fire as it starts is the only way.

      No arson doesn't explain why these fires have grown so big in Canada. Fires occur every summer in Canada, but never progress very far because the temperature is usually normal and precipitation keeps the fires from spreading.
      This was different with a heat dome sitting over Canada for the last few months that created unusually warm temperatures and combined with ongoing drought the fires that were started by lightening took off very quickly. There are over 400 fires burning in Canada right now and claiming that is due to arson is a lazy, convenient excuse for which you have 0 evidence! Have a good day.

    Instead of leading the fight against cigarette smokers, Canada should have been watching its forests and preparing an instant response to the problem. Now its too late and smoke and heat is choking millions of breathers. They should be ashamed of their carelessness and prepare to pay reparations to millions of innocent people who are suffering because of Canada's stupidity!

    This is likely a silly suggestion, but could you drop masses of baking soda or flour to cut the oxygen out from the forests?

    • @tonyburzio4107
      @tonyburzio4107 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure. Flour is explosive when dispersed in air. Baking soda releases CO2, which is why it's used for, drum roll, baking.

    None of these fires were deliberately set. Some were set by lightning. Others started far away from humans where there were no electrical storms. A process that you might be familiar with is that of a septic tank, which generates heat and gases, as its contents are digested. Peat spontaneously combusts. A manure pile that is sealed from air with ice when some of the snow that covers it melts, slowly burns up throughout the winter. Accumulated debris and animal droppings that are damp and without direct contact with air exhibit behaviour similar to that of a septic tank, producing heat and gas that ignites during a hot summer day.

      You can't be 100% sure. How many fires (percentage wise) are caused by lightning strikes, or what you have suggested and how many fires are caused by humans accidentally or intentionally?

    • @cCiIcCo
      @cCiIcCo ปีที่แล้ว

      In Nova Scotia 31 fires were intentionally set....

    • @mrmelmba
      @mrmelmba ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cCiIcCo In my opinion virtually none were intentionally set by humans, about one percent. Lightning 60 %. Spontaneous 4 %. Previous human activity 35%. Scapegoating is convenient but does not address the cause. Many likely started as a result of human activity in the past. That means a carelessly discarded jar, bottle, or other piece of glass or plastic that focuses the sun's rays. These are alongside each picnic ground, path, trail, road, highway and railway, not to mention these same items discarded in the forest by hikers, hunters and loggers.

    • @mrmelmba
      @mrmelmba ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cCiIcCo Presumably that is supported by evidence. A firebug must have been on the lose. That happens.

    Because of the political incorrect cause of the fire, a group of female firefighters specially lit the fire in order to prove their ability, and the teaching results could not be extinguished.
