Thanks!
Awesome job. I used wood for my bit holder like you. After a while the shafts of those bits got rusted.
I rebuilt my router bit holder using a 1/2-inch-thick polyethylene chopping board.
No more rusted bit shafts.
You know why this video is great is because we see all your mistake and the fact you didn’t edit them out. It’s just a great reminder that no matter how good we are mistakes do happen. I believe this is what is missing in a lot of wood working videos today as sometime it’s better to see the error yow guys make so we can use that as a guide line for other projects in the future . I love your channel enjoy the build and looking forward for many more like this.
I really appreciate that you keep doing project videos along with your other stuff. The mix up of all kinds of different content makes this my favorite channel!
I'm 3 min into the video and all I can say is I love your energy. I can't really concentrate because I'm laughing so hard. Thank you for all the tips and info. ❤😊
Wow you inspire me. Gonna BBQ a whole turkey this weekend. Why you ask.....because freedom!!! You're the best. Please let us know when those " BECAUSE FREEDOM" shirts come out.
I think that it is very impressive, that despite you haven't been a dad for long, you have already mastered the "DAD DANCE"!!!
I haven't had nearly enough "Meat Sweats" this summer. CONGRATS ON THE HOUSE AND OURDOOR OASIS!
Watching this on the 21st night of December. I will not forget.
OMG I need a squirrel-shaped "Stay Squirrely" wood pusher!
Each video you guys do gets better and better! Very entertaining and not just some boring walkthrough. Keep it up guys. Much love from the UK.
You get me through study hall every Week
HUGE FACTS
It's nice to see your Woodpecker tools scratched and used, not just in a case as so many youtubers are!
Nice to watch a pro work so smoothly with such nice results.
Entertaining build. I appreciate that you understood your audience, knowing (hopefully) that we know which side of the tape measure to read. Also appreciate that you left a goof or two on the video...makes you mortal, and not some perfect woodworking gawd.
The table itself is as good as any I've seen or built. Solid construction, stable materials and my personal choice for tabletop material. I do tend to use shellac for sealer...on all surfaces, top, sides and bottom...using a half-strength wash (equal parts shellac and alcohol) for the first coat, then two more coats straight from the can. Wax hell out of it, and top it off every now and then and that top will last as long as you will.
Great job, crew. Thanks!
I'm liking the punch sound effects in the background music.
Awesome build. Thank you for the inspiration for my next two projects: A workbench and a mini kitchen island.
having those bit drawers open to the outside instead of the inside where I would be standing would drive me crazy. I love the channel and this won't stop me from watching. Now if only I could get a shop to start playing with wood like you guys.
Love the big guy, with the big top spreading all that glue with the tiniest roller I've ever seen!
Cool router table. Thats my project for the winter comming. Yes, winter IS comming.....
You made a Hot Rod reference! I love you
In spite of the comedy and theatre, great build.
I would like to see this video revisited as one of your "Good, Better, Best" videos.
Thank you for this brother! Semper Fidelis!
"its a woodshop" - best quote of the year
Perfect upload timing John. I’m about to start doing basically this but hanging from my table saw wing. Gonna steal some ideas.
an english dude called rag and bone brown recently did one so it could use table saw fence, might be worth a look
Man i have been on TH-cam since TH-cam came out. And ive never subscribed to a single channel. Not until i became a wood carver/turner/burner/builder. And im based out of PA as well. So you my friend are the first lol because of all the things we have in common.... keep up the good work and thanks for popping my cherry, ya f**king jerk haha
I am starting to think that Jordan was never the problem....
Great build.
Awesome work, John! Really fantastic looking router table! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Huge fan John love watching your videos
Very nice video this week boys. Project Turned out very well. Hopefully it gets great use out of it boys. Hopefully more above average coming soon. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work boys. Keep Making. Stay Squirrely. God Bless.
ive used thos draw slides on my work bench, love em
Will definitely ve making this and few other plans you have when I get my workshop back up and going. Just sold my old house and having to put in a new building at my new house, not been able to make anything for months now and about to go crazy lol.
These builds make me so excited to the point where I get gassy! Might have to make this for my shop 👍🏼
I really want that squirrel push stick ya got there
It looks extraordinary for being so simple!
I have just started searching for after a router table and this idea, will change everything. The size, cost, the look ,just everything. Great work you guys and thanks for the great content
love your chanel and projects. keep it up 😄
Glad we could help Jonatan
Nice video bro; Semper Fi!
I hope “Fix This Build That” Brad sees this video with the clamp trick. He’s gotta be tired of his stuff falling all the time. 😂 You guys and Brad are great. Keep it up. 👍
Sweet build...!!! Thanks for the video...!!! Semper Fi Brother...!!!
Like your router table. You’re channel was suggested to me by pfwoodturning because I live in Pittsburgh.
Located in 74 different states...I almost missed that. Love the confidence
Panhead screws from the backside of the lamination work well for laminations like this. Thanks for the great content!
We finally get to watch John do some actual carpentry and he screws it up like 3 times 😂 Poor Jordan
Good thing is, he is honest about it showing his mistakes. DAMMIT, JOHN!!!
can't wait to see another one like this.
Thank you
Can we please get a "Dammit Jordan" t-shirt? Also is Jordan ok? We haven't seen him in a bit.
Beauty Build Gentlemen!
Hmmmm I detected a Yinzer... Looked you up, it's good to see a local (to me) doing good. (Even though you went to Franklin lol j/k The FR vs PT battles are some of the most exciting to watch). Great build, I may try and make one when I have more woodworking under my belt.
youre the coolest person i know.
youre skills are crazy, i really do enjoy your content!
Were you reading my mind!? I was about to build one of these!!
K
Poop
New dad woodworking.
Great channel Devil Dog!
Great build. When you get your other table fixed. I'll give ya $10 for that one. It looks like it only took you 18 minutes to build but I know casters can get pricey. lol
Fantastic work on this one!
this looks awesome! I've made plenty of mistakes like the backwards bit drawers but it would drive me crazy every time I opened it.
Love your videos , can you please tell me how to set up 3 legs on an epoxy table I have made ???measurements an spacing mostly?
It's 'Do you remember the 21st night of SEPTEMBER" yinz!
Thanks @T West!! I was wondering what the heck 21st of DECEMBER was all about, now it makes sense hahahaha!!! :)
I'm not gonna lie, I'm kinda liken this channel. I just might subscribe....maybe....And that thing is gorgeous ! (The build ) I really want one !!
definitely gonna build this after I'm done with woodworking school 😩😇
Love it! But I wish you put a product list in the description for things like the router, etc. I know it's a Triton but if I didn't, as an example, it'd nice to see it in the desc. Things like that, the plate, fence, etc. I'm sure most are available on Woodcraft but you know what I mean. Table looks sick though! Nice job as always.
Did you every figure out the list? Im interested myself and cant seem to fint the info
@@rocar8677 I don't remember if I ever even looked, to be honest. Which items are you interested in? I'm sure I could probably track them down.
@@vexxxgaming7303 im just interested in knowing all the parts so i can decide if i want to build it or not
@@rocar8677 Well, thankfully there isn't much to it. The router is a Dewalt it looks like. Same design as the Dewalt corded router. The plate is a Woodpecker PRL V2 and the fence looks like a Woodpeckers Super Fence. Woodpecker stuff is dumb expensive. I mean, it's good but you could easily build this with much less expensive items. Would be 700 or so just for the fence and plate. Plus the router, wood, etc.
Johns new father who is getting a lack of sleep is showing. Looks at backwards drawers that could just go on opposite sides and goes eh’ good enough.
If he switched the sides, the drawers would have to be flipped vertically which means he would lose a shelf of bit storage as it would be on the top where there is not enough room...
@@Bward216 just the face
@@MB12116 oh I see what you mean
Actually he did change it for the thumbnail of the video
Hi, great job with the video. Question please- what logic did you use to determine the locations for the miter tracks? Can you post the measurements/ locations on the table? Thanks
You've got an American flag and a Black Rifle Coffee flag so that's a subscription from me because freedom.
Just a reminder Black Rifle Coffee Company CEO Evan Hafer is a 2A Grifter who supports Tulsi Gabbard and Dan Crenshaw. Suckers drink his coffee.
@@hotburnymustard that's sad to hear.
stop stop stop - can we please get a video on the air suction bag method? hahaha
this was awesome and learned a few things... thanks
Needs edge banding for the two pieces of mdf top.
Drill press station next? Maybe like Woodshop Junkie?
Routing MDF without a mask is not advised unless you are a badass boss!!!
What type of red bins do you have for your screws? On the lookout for new bins.
John, I want to get your router table plans but I can't get in, keeps telling me something's wrong, first time for this one, I donno??🤔
Yes same here keeps saying error
New shirt idea. "Measure Twice, cut once, cut again." Or, "Measure Twice, cut once, blame Jordan!"
Not sure you'll see this but, what brand of fence was that you added? I didn't hear you mention it.
I was wondering if you ever installed a power switch in the door or how you run power?
Been an Electrician for 30 yrs. but this wood working thing looks like fun. Hmmm...
superglue between the masking tape. nice.
Super Nice Build Brother!
I think we need some "Dammit Jordan" merch
that is a nice piece! might make me one of those....
Awesome build, to bad you put the router bit slide in backward. My wife pointed it out(not me). lol
When you are standing there to change the bit you have to go around the slide to get the bit.
Amazing video. Will it be more beneficial to have a longer router top than a router fence (on far side)? All router tables I saw have a shorter top - why is that?
What is the approx. size of cabinet? Just bought a woodpeckers router top & plate and deciding if this will work. Thx
Looks amazing, see a big sheep dog?
JM, watching you rolling the glue to laminate the MDF with the teeny weenie roller made me shoot coffee out of my nose. They do make larger rollers to expedite that process boss.
True, but it was just a simple glue up, and he wasn't gluing multiple pieces, so why waste a longer roller for that? Unless you meant larger in diameter, in which case those absorb more and aren't as good for glue ups...
What about the gap under the tabletop going into 5he side drawers toward the top? I'm building this and noticed the space
They have stores in about 74 states hahah you mean about 50 states and 74 cities 😂. I lost it.
i guess my lack of sleep is coming thru in this video 😂 😂 😂 😂 Great catch Matt! hahahah
So I saw you rounded over the edges, is there a reason you decided not to frame the top with some cheap 1inch pine or poplar so the edges hold up better over time?
Where did you get that ruler you used in the beginning to make the straight line?
CanI get the plan for this build please I really need a good router table, and this is the one I want to do?
John, great video. Thanks. Quick questions: just paid $10 for the Easy Router Table Plans and there is no mention of how to install any type of hinges for the Center Door. Was this an oversite?
I notice you devote a brief amount of time in your video to installing the hinges but no mention in your plans. Confusing.
in the shop i used the kreg forman
4:29 Dammit Jordan/Sam/John/etc. merch?
I was paying close attention to this build because I didn’t want to Jordan anything up. And then you Jordan’d it up anyway!
My world no longer makes sense.....
2020 has just carried over to 2021, that's how it makes sense haha! :)
@@woodworksbygrampies1284 We aren't really moving on from 2020, we're just counting iterations of it. 2020-1, 2020-2....
Great build! i want to buy the plans and make one myself but i dont know what parts to buy for the router mount and where?
I’m going to have to put on my Slightly Above Average shirt and give this a whirl!
How is the finish holding up on the router table. And nice video. Thank you for sharing.
Minus the annoying music, I enjoyed the information. Thank you.
What router plate and holder did you use cant find anything good have tried a few garbage ones
Semper Fi Bro and Merry Christmas
Those look a lot like KV drawer slides. They're great. Almost as nice as blum, but way less finicky.
Mmmm pin them before you pocket hole them. That is a 200IQ tip right there.
YES. Already subscribed
What drawer slides did you use for this project?
