I already had a 4060 but sold it. I would only use it for 1080p personally. I now have 3PCs. One with the RX 6700 xt, one with the 7700 XT and one with 7800 XT. First one is using 1080p screen. Two other ones are using 1440p screens.
@@theivadim No. I came from 60Hz 1080p screens about 7 months ago. So this is a huge upgrade for me. having high refresh rate with freesync and 1440p. Different world for me. Also, I enjoy using framegen to get 100 FPS + and at 4K I think I would struggle with my current GPUs. As we know, FSR upscaling is not the best.
Ppl overhate this gpu. Imo its one of the most impressive feats of engieering to get this level of performance at a card that does fine on 100 watts. Yes the 8gb of vram holds it back and we all agree it should've been 12 or 16 but... For the sff/itx comminuty, laptops, ppl traveling a lot, ppl on old like dells, ppl living in small aparments not wanting to generate a lot of heat, ppl in hot climates (overheating issues) and so on it's the best gpu ever. If you have 300 dollars and none of those circumstances applying to you then yes don't buy it. If you do you cant really get a better card and you're not even paying an "itx tax" on it like you had to with decent hardware like it in the past.
It is indeed a very energy efficient card. And with DLSS you get good quality upscaling. Unlike FSR. Only problem is because of only 8GB Vram, framegen doesn't work properly in some games. Framegens eats up some Vram.
@larsenmats IK I said the issue is the vram which is why fg don't work perfectly in all titles... I will say though many sp games like cp2077 has an easy workaround with that. Mods for lowering vram are readily avaliable not long after frame gen became a thing (I suspect more do or will have once they've been out for a while and in mp games you're always better off running a better cpu and lowering graphics. The selling point imo is still the 100-115w with that performance. 4060ti eats 50% more power and is maybe 20% faster
@@fatrat92 In some games DLSS is vastly supperior to FSR in picture quality. The fine detailes like hair rendering,tiče grass and tiče crowds. FSR3.1 is a MASSIVE improvement over FSR3.0 abd earlier. I do not know how many games support it though.
4K works well on most games but the perfect res for this card (in my opinion) is 2560x1440 with DLSS you can get good performance & visual quality and on some game you can use FG (you might think it would not be possible because of the 8gb VRAM, thx to all these games with non-existant optimisation ^^', on Black Myth Wukong it works flawlessly for exemple)
also you can easily undervolt it for about -0.100mv (in average, might not realize it but it's crazy good) which will give you a 5-10°C margin with absolutely no difference in performance, will even prolong it's lifespan ^^
You're totally right that most people don't play the newest, most demanding games. Games like League, Valorant, or Fortnite are way less demanding, and the RTX 4060 would handle them at 4K without breaking a sweat, especially with DLSS. The point of the video was more about pushing the card to its limits with the latest heavy-hitters to see what it’s really capable of. For less demanding or more popular games, the 4060 is more than enough and would give you a great experience.

Better buy RX 6800 for that price and play the game like normal ppl. Can you compare RTX 4060 vs RX6800 on your setup and tell us if still that RTX is better then RX?
In the Spanish-speaking community, the RTX 4060 gets a lot of hate for its 8GB of VRAM, but honestly, it's delivering pretty much a PS5-like experience!
