I totally agree that Twitch's settings can be really confusing. There's a lot of complicated stuff when it comes to streaming but it's totally worth it in the end.
Thank you for this tutorial. I did my first Gunpla Build stream today and when one of my friends asked why the video of the broadcast wasn't on the channel on Twitch I had to find out. I have it enabled now so hopefully this will not be a problem any more.
Chris Petrone twitch.tv/blvckplays thanks so much mate! Hope to play some time! May as well ask Now. Can I multi stream to twitch and TH-cam at the same time?
So why the hell does Twitch not do this by default? My plane was to stream on Twitch then put the video on TH-cam. Sigh....Thanks you Chris. You were a big help.
Discerning Daniel no problem Daniel. Yea, I know. Twitch honestly should do it by default. But I guess they figure they can save on storage space maybe?
THANK YOU! You just kept me from pulling all my hair out! I've been re-uploading the recordings after I finish my lives. In the new (not beta) layout it's just in DASHBOARD under SETTINGS: CHANNEL -- thanks again!
Great video man quick and easy to follow! I was wondering if I can save those streams without notifications popping up e.g follower notifications. I still want them on my stream but when saving a video
CrowinHD glad to help! Sorry, I don’t know any way to save the stream without the pop-ups. Unless you capture the gameplay on your console separately? But then you’d be missing your face and voice right?

Thanks bro, your tips really helped with my Twitch streams setup. Only got 1 question tho? How do you highlight and save the broadcast forever like you mentioned in the video? When i try to highlight my broadcasts it doesnt allow me to?
Glad I can help and super happy to hear your stream is improving --- I'll be making a tutorial for how to highlight streams asap 🔥. But the quick answer is, go and watch the VOD, click the 3 vertical dots in the bottom right, then click Highlight
Yes. Mute the volume and actually pause the stream. You shouldn't be watching your stream while you stream. It'll be too much for your computer to handle, most likely.
Rudolf Jonsson if you're using the phone app or a mobile browser, you won't find it. You have to make sure you're under the full site view, and then from there you go to dashboard, then to settings, click on channel and then it should be there once you scroll down.
I had the same problem. there is a sub heading for setting in the dashboard on the left side at the bottom. it says "channel" below it, click on "channel"
So if I highlight the entire stream I did, it will be saved FOREVER in the videos section of your twitch account? Because I dont feel like downloading my streams and making it a video
Thank you. Even though this is a different layout then what I have it helped me figure out what the heck I was looking for and I found some other cool stuff I didn't know was there 🤗
Hey TechGuss. Just go to one of your past broadcasts as if you're viewing it. Then on the bottom right of the video player you should see 3 vertical dots. Click that. Then click "Highlight". This will take you to the highlight editor and you should be able to take it from there. Good luck~

You can definitely download your stream onto your computer. In OBS, or SLOBS (whichever you use), you can check off a setting to record whenever you stream. Once checked off, this will automatically save your stream to your computer when you're done. I would suggest changing the format to .mp4, because both programs actually default to .flv. Help! I don't understand what you mean by highlight to permanently save the video. It's not doing anything or saving for me when I highlight, please can you explain?
Hi Yahoo. Go to your past broadcasts, I think it's the "Video" tab on Twitch. Click the broadcast you want to highlight. While watching the broadcast, click the 3 vertical dots in the bottom right of the screen. A small drop-down menu will appear and one option is "Highlight". Click that. It'll bring you to the highlight queue. There, you can trim a highlight and save it. Highlights will be saved permanently once created.
I have this enabled but I don't see my past broadcast under videos. Is there a waiting period before it appears? I mean I did just stop streaming like 15 minutes ago.
