INCREDIBLE sprite work! As much as I hate this fight, I cannot deny how much I like its design. Fang/Nack is one of my favorite characters, so I feel like he deserves a hellishly difficult fight, with a cool looking custom mech.
tbh i fucking loved this boss, it felt like an actual challenge, not cheesable with rings and with very small hit windows. a true successor to the Death Egg Robot

I know a lot of people didn't like this boss, but I actually liked it a lot more than the Robotnik final boss or, honestly, the other bosses in the game. Fang MK 2 was tough but fair. It just took some repetition to figure out the techniques.
I disagree, this fight is a drag that rapidly tosses out insta-kill attacks for way longer than it should. At least with the Death Egg boss, you can choose the pacing so that it can end quickly.

The fact that fang could 1 shot your super form in 3 different ways tells you how unoptimized his fight really was

"Tough but fair" has *several* insta-kill attacks.
I also like the boss but you uave to admit it's a little unfair the first time you play.

That boss fight was trash, no scaling to the difficulty whatsoever. I'm all for a challenge but that fight not scaled in any way.
