    With the legendary cups you do NOTTTT need to disassemble the cups to pour!!!! It’s super easy, just unplug the tube and directly pour!! ❤️❤️

      Can you use the regular spectra tubing for the legendary cups? Because the Y shaped tubing that comes with it doesn’t seem to work. Or maybe I’m not attaching the tubing correctly to get enough suction

    I got my caracups today and they worked awesome the first time I used them, then after I washed them, dried them, and put them back together I got much lower suction. I looked at the user manual and took it apart and put it back together several times trying to troubleshoot but couldn't get it to work better!

    Just was looking at the document for CaraCups, and they do not show that cut out as being where to pour from. That looks like its just for the tube. If the edge of the cup is slightly rolled, etc. then it may pour just fine from any other area of the cut except that cutout.
    Also something good to remember too is that silicon ones will require more frequent replacement, so it can also impact cost over the life of the unit verses s more typical plastic one. I believe the Legendary Milk Cups ones recommends replacement every 3 weeks (dependent on use of course).

    Loving all your videos, seriously I thought I was the only one obsessed with cups, ounces, portability sound, etc. one comment I’ll make is that I am an exclusive pumper for at least 1 year with all 3 of my babies, and in terms of longevity of use, I found that the freemies backflow protectors were HORRIBLE. Like cracking after 1 month of exclusive pumping with them. Freemies did replace them under warranty the first time, which was great because it’s ~$20 every time you order a new set. But it was consistently at about 1 month of use for me that they wore out. This is what actually caused me to find the Legendairy cups in the first place because I was fed up! Haven’t had longevity issues with the Legendairy cups yet 👍🏽

    Super helpful video. I have the Freemie cups and mine have an L shaped adapter for connecting to the cup. I noticed you were not using one. This makes it very easy to connect the tubing, but not sure how much it helps with suction loss. I still don't get as much out of my freemie cups as I do a traditional flange with bottle.

  • @drtwisted9
    @drtwisted9 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    If your nipples tend to be stretchy would you recommend any of these over the others. I've tried the elvie and hated it. My nipples would stretch and cover the suction holes. It was painful and ineffective. I was thinking of the legendary ones because they said their coming out with a 21 and 19 mm flange which is what I need.

    I am so excited by the silicone flange on the legendary milk cup! I hope to try them. My favorite pump I ever owned comfort wise was a lansinoh hand pump I used with my second baby believe it or not. They used to be made with silicone flange cover. I couldn't find them anymore to use with our unexpected fourth babe. I could pump more and faster with that comfortable pump than the beloved expensive medela. The dangers of decluttering! Lol. I so want to try these as hiding to hand pump when I have three other kids to keep up with is not as practical as when I just had the two and could bank on naps to work on this.

    So i just received my Freemie Liberty in the mail(before i watched this video) and i was really excited and totally prepared to love it!but i am actually kind of disappointed.... Maybe its user error... I just didn't get very much milk out and my nipples were a little sore afterwards. I put the flange insert in and it left a ring around my areola... Maybe im doing something wrong ... I wanted an elvie, but couldn't afford it, so i ordered this one. Maybe i just need to play with it.. I hooked the motor to my Spectra flange and bottle and i still didn't get much milk... And i cant return it because its been opened! Im pretty bummed about it...

      I actually had a lot of trouble with the whole thing.. The cups pressing against my breasts made them uncomfortable and after a few minutes started to make them very tender. I ended up selling the system :( but i hear a lot of mamas really love it

      I have the same issues with having a low output from my freemie cups and also how the flanges left a ring in my areola. the odd-sized flanges (17,19,21mm etc) are kind of sharp on the edges while the even-sized are smoother (not sure why they didn't just have it all smooth). I used the 17mm inserts in my bigger boob and 16 in my slacker, and my nipple was so sore and felt like I had a tear, so I am gonna try 18mm and see if it works

    Using any, specifically the Legendairy cups, are you able to massage to fully empty during pumping? I often have to massage to completely empty and not get clogged ducts!

      @tjl639 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! I just got my legendairy cups in and I would say it is a little hard to massage with them on. But possible. What I have done is remove the cups then massage my breasts and basically milk them aiming into the cup (hand express). I have the same problem with traditional flanges. I will usually need to hand express after pumping to make sure it is all out and avoid clogged ducts (ouch!).

    What is your opinion about legendairy milk cups paired with the Ameda mya vs Elvie? I will have a 2.5/3.5 yr old and newborn so I will need that to probably be my primary pump. Like the thought of the willow laying down but don’t want to spend $0.50 per bag. Thank you!!

    Hello I bought the old Freemie cups (the open system) and have been having really bad back flow. I believe it's because I have so much milk coming out so quickly, my right side pumps 9oz in 15 minutes using a spectra pump.
    Would the Legendairy or others you talk about be better for that possibly?

    • @NewLittleLife

      They are definitely more discrete so your nipple isn’t hanging out there, it’s easier to put it in your bra as well rather than having the flanges hanging off.
