I got power blocks 10years ago. One of my best purchases ever.

I loved my powerblocks, parted ways with them with the evolution of my gym, maybe they will make a comeback. 💪

@@Maguiresgymhi Mark. I’ve reviewed some of your videos and noticed you went from powerblocks to fixed dumbbells and thought you could help me out.
I currently have fixed dumbbells from 5-60lb but space is starting to run out in my gym so I’m considering picking up a pair of a pair of 90lb powerblocks to use for anything over 60lb. I really think the fixed dumbbells are superior but with space at a premium I’m considering this compromise. Do you think it would be a mistake to go with that setup? Or should I try to figure out a way to keep cramming more fixed dumbbells into my gym?

@ Ya so I have rubber hex dumbbells up to 50. The heavier you go the bigger they get.
I miss my Powerblocks though. They get a bad rap for being so blocky and having your hand enclosed. I got used to those things and they ended up being extremely valuable and versatile for me.
I recently got the Rep x Pepin fast series adjustable dumbbells. They are pretty cool, but part of me still misses my dumbbells, I would buy them again. I don’t know if that helped, there is a lot of good options.. I think Powerblocks is defiantly one of them.
If you could try them somehow before you make your decision that would be best, if you have a sporting goods store or gym equipment store near you.

@@Maguiresgymthose Rep Pepin dumbbells look awesome. If I was starting from scratch I definitely would consider those. At this point I can get the 90lb powerblocks for less than half of what it would cost to get the 85lb Rep Pepins and since I’m at most replacing 5 pairs of dumbbells its hard to justify paying more than 2x. Thanks for your feedback.

Bro you’re killing it! I have the traditional hex dumbbells and you’re right about the size, it can feel like I’m curly 2 year old kids.
Your gym has had some big changes, are you going to do an update vid? #ripaxlebar

Does the pulley system allow for ankle attachments so I can do like cable kickbacks?

@@agirlandhercurls I’m sure if you had an ankle strap. Very versatile, a bunch of different height adjustments, the aftermarket cable attachments and exercises are endless.
